I’ve posted this sign up a while ago, but did not get much reception, so I’ll be trying once more.
I’ve been interested in learning more about the Steampunk genre, so I figured doing a RP about it would be the best way! I’ve seen some Steampunk RP’s on here before and they all seemed to be pretty open world and kind of sandbox-y, which is why I have somewhat come up with a plot to keep things moving. Importantly, I am looking for people who WILL (note that the bold and underline is signaling this words importance) be active on the site and the RP. Additionally, in regards to post length, I’m really not looking for anything specific, just keep in mind how diverse a Steampunk society can/could be, and describe accordingly.
Since this my RP, I also have the right to ban certain members upon disregarding the rules (see below). Alright, now this may seem harsh, but as this is my RP I have the ability to decline anyone who I don't want to be in the RP. If I find you annoying or think you will not be active, based on what I have seen throughout the forums (I’ve been here a while), I will not accept you. If I seem like I’m being vague, it’s because I am; I don’t want to have to deny anyone for this this, but I may be forced into doing so.
The setting is 19th Century Europe, the late 1800’s. The world’s technology has progressed rapidly following the invention of the steam engine (by the way if you don’t know what Steampunk is, just Google it). In this RP I’m going to be taking a more classic approach to Steampunk so that means no real ‘fancy’ pieces of technology; I’m meaning more like floating airships, big industrial cities, that kind of thing. Across the continent in Europe, Grand Prix races are being arranged in the major cities, London, Paris, Berlin, Rome, Madrid etc. and registrations have started for those who are interested. This is where you (the future members) come in! Harrison J. Granville (my character) is an American ex-pat living in London who owns a racing team, however he is in need of members for said team, after all the others quit(You’ll find out why later), except for his assistant, Sophie Malveaux (my other character). Therefore the RP will consist of our Racing Team traveling around 19th Century Steampunk Europe, competing in the various Grand Prix, the character’s relationships with each other and other Racing Teams, various activities in the cites etc.

- Please be as polite and kind to your fellow RP’ers as possible (when out of character)
- It is likely more rules will come up as needed, so watch this space
- This is intended to be more of a Mature RP, considering the setting (Romance, Violence, etc.), so take that into consideration when you sign up
- Please use proper and accurate grammar
