NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Former Titans quarterback Steve McNair has been killed. Police said McNair suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head in downtown Nashville.

The incident happened near 2nd South & Lea Avenue. A female victim was also found dead.

According to Don Aaron with the Metro Nashville Police Department, no suspects have been taken into custody. Several people were being taken to police headquarters for questioning.

Man, the world is fucked the hell up right now. Even more fucked the hell up is how he was shot in a city he led to a Super Bowl. He was 36 at the time, so this is another surprise death.

Yeah, there've been a lot of these lately, but none for athletes, so I figured "what the hell". Plus, even though there are tons of notable deaths, only some are that much more notable (like MJ, BM, etc.).
 
Fuck this shit I'm going cold turkey on the internet. So many deaths so little time. I kinda feel like death now with all these celebrities taking dirt naps.
 
Holy crap, Steve McNair?!

I still remember how he nearly upset the Rams in the Superbowl...lost by ONE YARD! And from what I know, he was a decent guy too...not like many prima dona athletes who think they are god's gift to mankind.

Sad stuff. Even more tragic because of how he died.

As a Jaguars fan, I am deeply saddened on how he was senselessly shot. You were a great rival.

...Ok, this is getting ridiculous. All of the Death Note jokes were silly, but now I'm actually beginning to wonder if it's actually true.

Why would someone want to shoot Steve McNair? '_' Hope they find an answer real quick.
 
Conspiracy theories aside, it's a pity to lose someone else. I hope his family is doing all right, it's a shame really. Also, since this death had to be intentional, it's even sadder when compared to some of the other deaths. Espcially considering his young age. R.I.P. Steve 'Air' McNair.
 
This is terrible! Yet another celebrity dies unexpectedly at a young age.

RIP McNair, a sad way to be struck down. May the killer be brought to justice to the fullest extent of the law.
 
Well, even though I had no clue who he was until now, it's still sad to see another person die. :(
 
Guys, I think a murder-suicide happened. With the female killing McNair, and then herself.
