Steven or Diantha - which champion would cooperate during XY&Z? (If)

I added an 'If' at the end of the title because there's nothing about either champions appearing any time soon.

But just as how champions have played roles taking down evil syndicates in the previous series, I'd say the possibilty isn't zero at least.

So if the 'champion' were to appear for cooperation, who would be more likely? Steven or Diantha?

Steven had appeared in the ME Specials, interacted with both Alain and Lysandre, and also met Sycamore and Shota. He has every reason to appear and there would be no continuity issues. He's in Kalos at the moment so all the more probable.

Diantha, though, had been promoted fairly well in the anime and she's proven her strength. If there's any upcoming third games, she'd appear for promotion. Also, it's a crisis in Kalos after all and she's the regional champion.
 
I think both. Especially with Malva siding with Team Flare, I think Diantha will have to make things right, as a member of her Elite Four is involved in some ... errrm.... massive genocide? .... awakening some crazy cell combined god? Whatever it is Team Flare's target n the Anime, I think she must step up to protect the dignity of the Pokemon League in Kalos, as well as the region itself.

Steven just dip too deep into this matter that he has no valid reason to get out of it. If he go back to Hoenn now it seems more like ditching Manon and her Chespin than anything else. Plus I don't think he trust Lysandre fully. Although he doesn't seem to suspect Lysandre of anything but I think he feels iffy about him after the Magalithe event, eventhough Lysandre did make up a good enough reason about sealing it away so the battle between Primal Kyogre, Primal Groudon and Mega Rayquazza to never happen again.
 
Steven is pretty much already involved so there's no doubt he will be playing a role.

As for Diantha, why not? It'd be nice.
 
Probably just Steven. I have seen no Mega Gardevoir in XYZ merchandise, and the climax isn't far off.

She doesn't seem very active about it. I doubt that anyone will confront her.
 
Considering a member of the Elite Four is siding with Lysandre, I think Diantha would get involved. Malva is a part of her league. Steven has been heavily involved with the Mega Evolution plot and he has enough reason to get involved, as we've seen him interact with Lysandre and all. I can see them both playing a role. I think it would be interesting also for Sawyer to meet Steven again.
 
Bring back Shirona!!

Daigo ain't going away any time soon, that's for sure.
 
I hope they don't go this route but I could see them bringing Wataru back for 20th anniversary reasons.
 
I'm honestly kind of tired of Steven after the Acts, so I'd want to see Diantha come back and do stuff.
 
Yeah, I reckon it would be Diantha that would appear. After she is the champion of the Kalos region.

Didn't they bring Wataru for the Aqua vs Magma plot back in AG for similar reasons?

D: I am really going to be sad if this actually happens.
 
I hope both the Champions appear to take down Team Flare. Steven, because of his association with Lysandre and Team Flare in the Mega Evolution Specials. Diantha, so that she can take down Malva and show her what it is like to side with an evil organization while being a part of the Kalos Elite Four. :cool:
