This may be an old topic, but in your opinion, which pokemon is the strongest? I would like to put it as a tie between Mewtwo, Rayquaza, and Deoxys. Arceus doesn't seem bad either, but as I don't have him, I can't say much. I would prefer it if there were some non-legendaries named here also.

Perhaps Mew, he is compatible with all the TMs; and Mewtwo.
Rayquaza is SUPER-weak to Ice attack, so I drop him.
And Deoxys probably because of his formes, and they are all compatible with the strongest Psychic attack in the games: Psycho Boost!
Arceus, yes. He can MultiType transform to a different type, depending on held plate; also he is the highest-level wild Pokémon in all the games--80

The strongest pokemon is Wobbuffet since he takes 1 hit ko on legendary's since they hit so hard on him... =P. But if u really want to know the strongest pokemon then it depends on the moves and how u raised it.

Groudon can take out anything as far as Gen Three goes, but Arecus gets the Gen Four trophy.

Yes.
It's called Googling.
Anyway, the strongest one I've used personally I think would be Metagross, as it can combat nearly all it's weaknesses, and Dragon is not very effective on it. However, that's only out of the ones I've used, I've no idea about others.

Deoxys's defense form is better than Wobuffet.
It gets even better when it has it's Mirror Coat/Counter in it's speed form.

Blissey as it has 700+ HP and only hates Fighting Types.
it gets (I Believe) anyone of the 17 Types' Movepools like
Fire=Fireblast,Grass=Solarbeam,etc

Mew is also pretty good except it is weak to
Bug(which there are a LOT of Pokemon but most of them suck)
Ghost (Shadowball is EVERYWHERE)
and of course Dark (Bite/Crunch both of which are on every moveset)

HP doesn't mean strength. Blissey doesn't have very good Attack, Special Attack, or Defense. Blissey is just popular because it's useful for a lot of strategies. Also, for Bug, you're forgetting that the types of the MOVES determine their effectiveness, not the type of the Pokemon. You also aren't making much sense with Ghost and Dark.

I agree that it depends on how you raised it and how much strategy you put into giving it its moveset and using it.

For example, a even a Shuckle can be ridiculously powerful if it uses Power Trick in a Trick Room party. You just need to make sure it doesn't get hit with a physical attack :p

^or special or its X_X

Out of the ones you listed, Deoxys, due to versatility. Attack form ExtremeSpeed? not pretty.

Out of My experience, I agree with Æsahættr, Fire types eat an Earthquake, everything else eats STAB Psychic/Meteor Mash, and Sooooooooooooooooo many other things.

In terms of the Pokémon lore, it's Arceus, without question. He's pretty much God.

And I HATE God >>;

Well, for the standard metagame, Nastyplot Infernape can 2HKO any Pokemon after one NP. Even if you run Focus Blast rather than Close Combat, Blissey will still die to it, infact I believe its a 2HKO even before that.
