Stupid Rival Names

People have always been given the option to name their rivals in most Pokemon games. List the dumbest or funniest names you've ever given your rival.

I always give the rivals their canon names. I don't see the point in naming them with a ~~~funny~~~ or dumb name.

So way back when, I used to give my rivals girl names. I honestly can't tell you why. So...

Barry --> Jazmine
Silver --> Miranda

And then I realized how stupid that was and...did it again (but it was a unisex name).

Hugh --> Justice

Though, whenever I replay the games now, I just either give them their canon name, or the name of the opposite version I'm playing. Because, believe it or not, thinking of names is hard.

I once named my rival in Yellow, Hater. Cause, well, hater gonna hate.

If I'm playing a game seriously, I name them after friends or just their default name

If I'm not...I name them stuff that's pretty immature and derogatory.

First time i played Silver i didn't like the way he spoke to me outside Elm's lab, so i named him FUCKER. Made me giggle all throughout the game.

Most of the rivals I've given names to based on teachers and other people I hate. That way I would be battling and defeating the people I hate indirectly.

I usually give my rivals default names. However, in my first playthrough of Black 2, I named my rival after my brother.

I named Barry, the rival from DPPt, "Idiot" once... it really matched his personality in a way. Should've named him ADHD... I also called the rival in White2 "Afroguy". Even the Team Plasma Grunts point out he has "hair like a Qwilfish" so the name fit well with the guy. Made me snicker every time I saw it.

To "Parody" the being named after a color concept I named Blue Rainbow.

I think I once named Blue in FRLG "TORCHIC" for the heck of it.

I always name them after politicians i "HATE" like Obama, Bush, Pelosi,, Bohner, Feinstein etc.

I named Barry Dusk once. I usually name the rivals their default or after someone from my life. I did name Silver Gio (after his daddy) and I always name Blue Gary. For... obvious reasons.

I was eight or something. And called myself Blue and the actual Blue as Red.

I then tried to prove people that i was right, and the webpages were corrupt and wrong.

Yeah...

All manner of awful and derogatory names, but lately I've been just coming up with ones I see on billboards as I drive through town. Bell, Burt, Takahashi, etc...

Not really "stupid," but I did name Gary after my brother when it first came out. I was 11 when I did this. Now I just give them their official names.

Usually just name my rivals after people I'm irritated with IRL. Makes me feel bad if we make up, but still it is a bit of a catharsis to beat them beforehand.
