Style Savvy/Style Boutique, known as Wagamama Fashion: Girls Mode in Japan, is a series of fashion games developed by syn Sophia.

There are currently four playable Style Savvy/Style Boutique games :
  • Style Savvy/Nintendo presents: Style Boutique, the original game, first released in 2008 for the Nintendo DS.
  • Style Savvy: Trendsetters/Nintendo presents: New Style Boutique, the second game, first released in 2012 for the Nintendo 3DS.
  • Style Savvy: Fashion Forward/Nintendo Presents: New Style Boutique 2 − Fashion Forward, the third game, first released in 2015 for the Nintendo 3DS.
  • Style Savvy: Styling Star/Nintendo Presents: New Style Boutique 3 - Styling Star, the fourth game, released in 2017 for the Nintendo 3DS.

Fashion Dreamer, released in 2023 for the Nintendo Switch, is another fashion video game developed by syn Sophia. It's often considered the fifth Style Savvy game.

What are your experiences with the Style Savvy/Style Boutique franchise? Did you play any of the Style Savvy/Style Boutique games? Do you have any opinion about the series?

As for me; I really like this series. I've played every Style Savvy/Style Boutique game (but not Fashion Dreamer) and I think my favorite one is the original DS game.
The fashion items, the story, the graphics, the characters, the music... I love everything about it, it gives me so much nostalgia:bulbaLove:

I'm really due for a replay of the older Style Savvy titles, especially the DS one.

I've played Fashion Dreamer but it felt like something was... missing? I just really liked the angle of running your own boutique the older games had (I LOVE playing as a shopkeeper lol).
I might've liked Fashion Dreamer a lot more if it let you wear any clothes as any gender, the wardrobe the masculine bodies get is so much more "flat" compared to the one the feminine bodies have. Though I understand it'd be a lot of work for the devs, it was still something I was hoping to see, especially in a game released in 2023.

I would love to see the outfits everyone has made if anyone has the games handy!

I love love love this series!! One of my all time favorite series for sure! :bulbaLove:
I also got the Switch game but I felt like it was lacking compared to the 3DS version; I hope they release a 3DS version of the game on the Switch soon!

Sorry for the late reply

I see. The male clothing always seemed a bit dull compared to the clothing. Yukata options were way more limited, no gothic/punk rock/baby doll/etc... brands. Styling Star added a few new options but the male fashion sadly never reached its full potential in the Style Savvy games. It's saddening to hear that Fashion Dreamer didn't fix the problem but I'm not suprised, the game reviews were inflammatory.
I found a bunch of stores selling the game for cheap, I'm thinking about buying the game to form my own opinion.

Of course:bulbaLove:
Do you mean a port of the 3ds games or a new game on the Switch in the style of the 3ds version?
bring style savvy back nintendo you fools

fashion dreamer is just meh, i never got it but everyone i know was like 'yeah it's pretty meh compared to the original games'
Please, Nintendo and syn Sophia...

If you're looking for Switch games that are somewhat similar to Style Savvy, there's "Model Debut 4" and "Neko to Mahou no Dress" coming in november.

I'm currently playing the japanese version of the first Style Savvy game and I'm amazed to discover all the differences. Some places, like the Old Town or the Sports Festival were deleted in the international release, some items look different...
