Personally I'm getting tired of the games i currently own and need something fresh to kill time with.
I own a:
Xbox 360
3DS
Wii U

I'll take any suggestions. Old or new games. Just tell me what you enjoy! Just please don't suggest anything TOO mainstream like CoD or GTA. I would prefer something slightly out of the box :)

Edit: Feel free to suggest new ways to play old games, like a mono-type Pokemon run, or role-playing a certain type of character in Skyrim.

Fire Emblem: Awakening. It's a great gateway into the series, and I believe you might have fun with it. If you're a fan of turn-based strategy, or would like to try it out, this game is for you.

If you've never tried either Layton or Wright's gameplay, I would suggest Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright. I was unfamiliar with the series too before playing this, and I must say, it will offer at least 20 hours of fun, if you're going for a minimalist playthrough. Take a look at it!

And if you don't have Smash for either system, get one. Just... do it. Is an explanation really necessary?

I have been wanting to try the fire emblem games I think I'll pick that up. Though I can't say I've heard of the Layton/ Phoenix games. I'll look into them.

I have Smash for Wii U, and I got tired of it by the second day. One of the games I need a break from.

If you have at least over 20 dollars on your Wii U,get Fire Emblem on the VC and Golden Sun on the VC as well.Fire Emblem was the first in NoA,and it is most likely the game that sticks to FE's core since FE1.It has a great story and great characters with a challenge factor as well.Golden Sun is one of-of not the best-RPGs on the GBA.It has a awesome story, wholesome characters with great development, with a challenge factor. If you don't have the right Djinn setup or class, you're in for a hard time on some of the puzzles, like Colosso.I love it and it has some of my favourite game mechanics in there.Plus, plot twists.Who doesn't love those?

Speaking of plot twists, if you have enough money to spend, you could try tracking down a copy of Xenoblade Chronicles, though it's pretty hard to find nowadays. Or you could just wait 'till Xenoblade Chronicles X comes out.

Since you enjoy RPGs, why not give Dragon Age: Origins for your Xbox 360 a shot? It's not quite like Skyrim, outside of sharing a similar setting, since it has a more linear storyline to progress instead of being an open-world sandbox, but there is still some role-playing involved in how events unfold based on your actions throughout the story. Plus, the high amount of replay value because of just that means that it could potentially last you for quite a while.

Well if it's a time sink you want any solid life-simulation or RPG game will be worth your time. Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, and from what I've heard Bravely Default are some options you could check out.

Someone suggested the Dragon Age series, and I would also throw the Mass Effect series in there, as well. It's more or less the same as Dragon Age, but Mass Effect is less fantasy and more sci-fi. (Both are made by BioWare, btw.)

And um... I don't know what else to suggest. What are your favorite game genres?

I'd suggest Gunman Clive from the 3DS shop- it's dirt cheap, and is great little platformer (Plays a bit like Megaman) with a beautiful soundtrack and art style. There's a ton of replay value to it as well, with additional characters and time challenges.
