Yeah, I'm being a pest. What else do gadflies do?

I just noticed the caption for The Soap Box forum mentions the Current Events forum. Been a long time since that forum existed.

Buzzes off to where gadflies feel secure...

Heh, the Current Event right now is Diamond and Pearl :p

Although to be serious, there isn't really anything hugely monumental that the forum could specifically cover at this point. The Iraq War? The New Congress? I mean I don't know... though I can see your point to some degree.

I think it's a "just in case" type of thing. Most recent debatable events have been too short lived to warrant an entire forum, but who knows? Wars happen at an alarming rate. Terrorist attacks come without warning. Big environmental disasters happen with increasing regularity. Better to have it in the description "just in case" than have to deal with it later. Not like it's causing any trouble.

I can accept that explanation. Makes sense to me. Probably nobody other than a gadfly noticed.
