I've started again on FireRed (After milking it dry.) and i've decided to catch Suicune i've just saved fuji and im heading down for my first Snorlax. I've built a Team that is perfect for catching Suicune with out a masterball (i wanna get mewtwo aswell:spin
The Team:
Chomp - Charizard
Fang - crobat (For mean Look)
Lazy bones - Snorlax (for tanking when i spam balls at it)
Flutter - Butterfree (para hacks)
RainDrop - Vaporeon (Sp.def wall)
Dug - Dugtrio (Areana Trap)

Love the nicknames and i cant wait to import them to Diamond/platnuim :yahoo:

Looks pretty good, but doesn't Mean Look wear off if you switch out Fang?

You should definitely lead with Crobat instead of Charizard, because he is going to try to flee right away. If Charizard has fire spin then that's a possible option, but you're still rolling the dice with accuracy, and it will wear off after a few turns.

Yes, Mean Look will wear off when Crobat is switched out. Your only option is to either start with Dugtrio and fight until he dies and switch to Crobat for a Mean Look, or lead off with Crobat and switch to Dugtrio when it's convenient.

Does Crobat know Hypnosis? If not, you need a trapping pokemon that knows a status changing move.

Also, whatever lead you choose, remember to keep it less then or equal to level 50 so you can take advantage of Max Repels.

If Mewtwo is your only concern, then in my humble opinion I'd say master ball Suicune and ultra ball Mewtwo, because Mewtwo is much less of a pain to catch.

Yeah, if you want to catch Suicine and Mewtwo you should use a masterball on Suicine since it can run and then use whatever ball on Mewtwo since you can try over and over again on it. I never have caught Suicine in leafgreen of firered but I have caught Raikou and I used the master ball on it and then I caught mewtwo in a regular Pokeball. I recommend using Crobat as a lead though, that's what I used to catch Latias in Sapphire.

Cheers guys, Pokemon FireRed is much more fun i'm over half way there now just beat koga with my RainDrop and Lazybones. i intend to complete today so i best get playing Suicune here i come!

Not to mention the glitch with the IVs in FR/LG. Unless that was part of what you were talking about.
