Congratulations to all the winners! Everyone really deserved their wins, and we had a lot of debates this time so you know we picked out the best winners. I hope that these wins encourage people to keep writing and keep working on their amazing stories and craft those brilliant characters. If you didn't win, don't be discouraged: there was tough competition, and as much as we would like everyone to win, that just isn't possible. Keep trying though, and know there is always hope for next time.

Thank you to our wonderful judges, who did some amazing work this time. Only one person let us down which is the lowest number for several seasons, and I was very pleased with how we only went three days over deadline Please give the judges two weeks to compile their feedback and then you may harass them (and if they don't give you feedback then let me know) - the judges are listed beside which categories they did.

For the first time in a long while, our banners have been completed on time thanks to the amazing @Arkadelphiak. You can find those over in the Hall of Fame: trust me when I say they are amazing.

If anyone has any feedback/comments on the awards, please feel free to share - we are looking at making some changes next time so the more feedback the merrier! Otherwise, thank you and congratulations once again!

I LEGITIMATELY SCREAMED SO LOUD THAT MY THROAT HURTS NOW OK

These are... basically THE two awards I could possibly have wanted the most. Jal'tai is probably the character I'm most proud of and definitely one of my favorites. I'm so happy to see the ol' bag of feathers go over so well. ;w;

When the current system of the awards was implemented, it was decided that every person who could earn eight badges (that is, win eight different awards) would be declared a WRITER'S WORKSHOP CHAMPION. That was three years ago, ten whole awards seasons. Now finally, FINALLY, we can name our very first WRITER'S WORKSHOP CHAMPION:

@AceTrainer14; is probably the single most productive writer in the Workshop. At the time of this post, he has three currently active stories, with another one having just wrapped up. A quick look at his bibliography shows another five finished fics. His stories cover a wide base, from Journey to Dark and Expansion, all with creative ideas and memorable characters that take place together in the GalacticVerse. In 2012, he became the section head of our noble Workshop. Since then, he has been a wonderful leader, helping develop the awards into what they are today, as well as fostering a wonderful community based around feedback, improvement, and camaraderie.

A massive congratulations (and thank you) to Ace for his wonderful work as a writer and moderator. A very deserving first ever WRITER'S WORKSHOP CHAMPION.

I must say that I am honoured and privileged to be named the first Writer's Workshop Champion: I never thought I would actually win it, and if I did I didn't think Best Contributor would be the one to push me over the top However, I am pleased to have my hard work over the last five years recognised: looking back over the stuff I have won, it gives me a slight tingly feeling to look back over these characters and stories (a bit shocking to think Kris vs Gold earned me my first badge - so long ago and her story still isn't quite finished!!!). But I hope this shows people that it is a manageable achievement and helps push a few more people towards getting out there and write a whole range of stories. And know that I am going to make sure the next chapters I release in all three of my stories show I have earned this title.

Holy balls! I wasn't expecting any awards at all! Whoa.

I'm still only a few chapters in, with only the start of development occurring for this character. I feel very honored that a character who is, in more ways than one, still in the infant stages would be recognized as "the best" out of a very wide and well-developed roster on these boards. Thank you everyone for your support, or for at least putting up with me and my sporadic activity lately, you've made the work of putting ideas to words to page all worth it.

Going forward, I will continue to do my best to live up to the honor the judges believe me worthy of, and even surpass them if I can.
