Hello all,
After a frantic week of nominations, we are now at the Voting Round. While it is not as packed as past summer’s, we do have a great mix of content here, with plenty of old, new and returning stories and characters featuring in what may be one of our more diverse line ups in recent memory. If your story has made it this far, congratulations! Not all stories get the attention they deserve, so it is a real honour to even make into this first round.
As always, you may vote for two stories/characters per category for a total of 20 votes overall, but are under no obligation to cast that many votes. In order to move on to the judging round, all stories/characters must receive two votes. The only difference is the Alternate category, where stories will require three votes. Once a nominee has the required votes, it will be bolded to let people know it does not require any more. If more than the needed votes are cast, a number will be put next to it (i.e. +1) and people may use their vote on something else.

If you wish to change your votes after your original post, please mention me in a NEW post and in your original in some way make a note of what you’re new or altered votes are.
If you have a story in contention, you have one week (June 19th NZT) to update and edit your stories for those new chapters to be in contention for the judging round. Any new chapters posted after that time won't be taken into consideration, and we ask that all stories in contention are not edited during that period. So make sure you get those updatdes and improvements done in that time.
You also should be thinking about which chapters you'd like to submit as recommended reading. More details will be posted next week with the official nominees, but basically these are the chapters you want the judges to definitely read. Have a think about your favourite chapters and be prepared to submit them.
As always, you cannot vote for yourself and please do not ask others to vote for you - if someone does ask you to vote for them, please alert me or another moderator. The only place you may advertise for votes is in your story threads. We ask for no whining/complaining if you aren't getting votes - it ruins the fun for everyone else and does not paint you in the best picture. Just enjoy the ride and see what happens.
