Summer Awards 2017 Winners List

Hello everyone!

Get your dancing shoes on everyone: after a long, gruelling month of judging, we finally have the winners, so it's time to celebrate!

As I teased early in the season, we decided to introduce a new method to increase the number of winners we have. In the judged categories with five or more entries, we decided to give out second place to the stories and characters that deserve some attention as much as any other. These users will also receive a banner and a badge alongside the first place winners but were ineligible for Best Story/Character.

Congratulations to all the winners! You all truly deserved it and I was really blown away with the quality of work we had this time around. I wish we could have given an award to everyone.

As always, a big thanks to the judges who did an incredible job getting through all these stories. I must highlight @chaos_Leader for reading four stories that each had character judging as well! But they all did an incredible job and deserve a big round of applause.


They will be posting their reviews over the next few weeks. If you have not received feedback in the next two weeks, either let me know or contact them yourselves: the judges for each category are listed next to the category name (character judging was done by story).

And finally, thank you to all those who nominated, voted or took part in your own way this season. These awards are a celebration of this community. It has been a pleasure to read, write and debate alongside you all, and I cannot wait to see what the future holds!
