Well yes and no, because he's not actually credited for creating any part of the song itself :p (Likewise Danka before anyone else goes there).

The character song thing ended up feeling like a bit of a vanity project but I was nevertheless only indifferent until I realised that that Tyltalis guy from the League is meant to be him. Talk about egomania!

True, but the Meowth song is a part of the character song project which makes me think it wouldn't have come about had the project not existed.

LOL, I don't think this is the first time someone from the staff had a character based on them. :p (also how much of a vanity is it when the character supposedly based on him is basically a bait used to glorify Ash and Greninja lol)

I don't care much for him either. I was hoping they'd drop him for SM but oh well. Song sounds great though!
 
I expect a bright, upbeat theme song like Getta Ban Ban or Volt, I hope the opening gives us spoilers ;)

I'm looking forward to hearing the new song :) I've heard about him since he was ShounenT and his songs are pretty - the lyrics he writes are cute. I'd prefer him writing/singing songs for Pokemon instead of choosing someone who sounds horrible without autotune *reminded of Volt's live performance*
 
You know, I have very mixed feelings with the fact that the region, hello and goodbye is all "Alola". I don't imagine an actual country would last without everyone going insane.

Even the first OP is called Alola, my goodness.
 
I really hope the word "Alola" isn't run into the ground because of Pokémon Sun and Moon. I could very well see this being the next "best wishes" phrase in the dub since it was used on a few occasions as farewells with certain characters.

As for the opening, I'm very psyched to see the level of animation in it and how perfectly synced it is with the music.
