Sunset in Cherrygrove [A Johto Journey]

Many people like to think that the Pokemon World is the ideal place to live, free of tragedy or destruction. However, this is not always the case. There are people in this world who abuse these creatures' power and potential by using them as weapons or tools of war in order to satisfy their own selfish desires. Pokemon are used to commit crimes or sometimes to achieve and even larger goal. Despite various efforts of those determined to stop these, there will always be evil to counteract all the good in the world. But there are others who choose to travel with Pokemon and battle against others for sport. Some even dedicate their lives to the research of Pokemon, their biology, origins, and the like.

The Johto Region features many diverse landscapes and a rich culture. No matter where you visit, you're sure to find new experiences awaiting there. It is one of the more interesting places to travel about, due to the large population of different species of Pokemon inhabiting the region. The Johto Pokemon League Organization is once again opening up to challengers, after four years under their reigning champion, Gold. Suspicious activity from underground organizations has made the citizens of Johto worry that evil teams will again rise in the region like the ones defeated many years before.

In this RPG, you will play the role of a Pokemon Trainer traveling to the Johto Region in order to start their Pokemon Journey. I'm leaving the story in the hands of the players, as I think that it makes for a more enjoyable experience if everyone gets to affect the plot in some way. During their journeys, the players will have to overcome challenges, make difficult choices, and may even have to say goodbye to some loved ones. But for now just enjoy your journey!

Rules
- No Godmodding/Bunnying/Flaming/etc.
- No excessive swearing.
- Romance is fine, but if it is anything past PG-13, take it to PM.
- Small plot changes are fine to make on your own, but if it is a large change, be sure to message me.
- Be sure to follow all BMGF rules.
- If you are going to be gone for extended periods of time, be sure to notify me.
- No excessive one-liners.
- Any Pokemon in the National Dex can be found as long as the habitat and location are appropriate, although Johto-native Pokemon will be most common.
- I know these RPs usually don't get very far, but I have a lot of faith in this one, so pleas try to stay active.​

Name: Ty Dalton

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Training Career: Trainer

Appearance: Ty is very tall for his age standing at roughly 6'3". He is well-built because he played football all throughout his life. He has short, messy brown hair and large hazel eyes. He has a small scar under his nose that he received when he was scratched by a Rattata as a child. As a result, he has developed a fear of the rat Pokemon. You will often see Ty sporting a plain t-shirt and exercise shorts. He wears a very dirty, beat-up pair of white basketball sneakers.

Personality: Optimistic, serious, seems unfriendly when you first meet him. Has a fear of Rattatas. Hates being alone.

History: Ty was born and raised in Cherrygrove City. Many of his family members had been Pokemon Trainers and two of his three brothers left on a journey together when he was 6. He had always wanted a Pokemon to be like his older brothers. His first Pokemon was a Swinub that he received from his grandparents living in Blackthorn City. He was 12 when he received the Pokemon and they both became very curious about the world around them. Now that the Pokemon League at Indigo Plateau is accepting challengers again, he and Swinub are determined to go out on a journey.

Name: Heather Fish

Gender: Female

Age: 16

Training Career: Coordinator

Appearance: Heather has black hair that goes down to her shoulders. She also has green eyes that are the color of leafs. She stands at about four feet ant eleven inches and is skinny. She likes to wear sun hats and has a variety of different color ribbons that she likes to wear around her hat. She likes to wear sundresses with flower print on them. These also come in many different colors ranging from purple to pink and many colors in-between. She also wears brown shoes and has she also has dark skin.

Personality: Heather is a very happy person and loves sweets. She also has a fear of snakes and snake like Pokemon.

History: Heather was born in Verdanturf Town and lived a peaceful life with her parents. She would often go to the local contest hall and watch contests. Soon she fell in love with contests and making Pokémon moves into works of art. She also wanted to fallow in her father’s footsteps and become a great Coordinator. After many years of living in Verdanturf Town Her family decided to move to Cherrygrove City. They also gave her the gift of a Pokemon a young Snorunt that she named Belle. Not feeling like Cherrygrove was her home, she set out to become a great Coordinator.

Name: Ashlyn Santos

Gender: Female

Age: 16

Training Career: Trainer

Appearance: Standing at 5'5", Ashlyn has a very slim and fit body. Her skin is tan and her dark brown hair is medium in length. She wears a pair of fashionable glasses over her grey eyes. Ashlyn also tends to wear her hair up in a ponytail. The only kind of makeup she wears is some eyeliner, only wearing more if the occasion calls for it. Clothing wise, Ashlyn wears very casual outfits. Her preferred clothing selection is a strange mix of flannel shirts and denim short shorts. She normally wears a pair of beat up black converse.

Personality: Ashlyn is quite full of herself. She has a lot of confidence in her battling skills and loves to show off to other people. Her heart is in the right place, but sometimes it is hard to take note of that.

History: She originally grew up in Hoenn. Living in Slateport City almost her whole entire life, she loved everything about the sea. What really captured her interest the most were the Pokemon living there. This was where she met her starter Pokemon, a Tentacool named Gem. When she turned fourteen, her family moved to Johto in hopes of an interesting change of pace. Ashlyn always visited the library with her younger brother. She has a lot of knowledge on Pokemon and some battle strategies.

Other: She carries around an excessive amount of books in her traveling bag.

Yeah hopefully it will be a fun one that doesn't die out before the first gym. Its all I ever wanted to see here and I've attempted NUMEROUS, though none have ever made it to the third gym. Also I'd probably close things up before the group gets too big 4-5 is usually the best amount of players for this.

Name: Alex Charono

Gender: Male

Age: 14

Training Career: Trainer

Appearance: Alex stands at about 4'11" and he has a rather slender build. He is seemingly underweight for his age, though despite this he appears to be rather healthy. He has a rather light skintone and he has short yet somewhat messy black hair on his head. His face is very child like in a way and he has a set of green eyes. Alex is commonly seen wearing a short sleeved green hoodie over a gray tshirt with a lightning bolt insignia. He also wears a pair of light brown cargo shorts.

Personality: Alex is typically an easy going adventurous teen who tends to be very caring of his friends and Pokemon. He is very eager to meet others and travel with friends. While Alex is usually good-natured, caring, and kind boy, he can be a bit too rash and may even rush into situations head on. He seems to carry a false perception of who he should be and seems to have difficulty letting go of that. He seems to be rather sensitive and won't let things go so easily.

History: Alex comes from a family of skilled trainers. His father was once a league winner, his mother was a top coordinator, and his brother even is a very powerful trainer competing in the region. He grew up in Goldenrod City for most of his life and he had a close attachment to Pokemon in his youth. He always wished to travel the world and someday be as good of a trainer as his parents and brother and he felt like he had a reputation to uphold. He went to a trainer's school in Violet City while he was young and while he was easily able to make connections with Pokemon, his battling skills were rather average. Most people there seemed to doubt him and while he was frustrated, he wanted to test himself to his limits and prove he could achieve what others presumed. When he turned 14, Alex decided to head out from Goldenrod City to get his starter Pokemon from Professor Elm, though little does he know his arrogant and mean spirited brother is traveling through the region as well.

Name: Camille Bernard

Gender: Female

Age: 16

Training Career: Coordinator

Appearance: Camille stands at a whopping 5'10" and had an athletic, fit body one of a model with long legs and a figure to boot. She has medium length classic blonde hair with a tinge of red to give it the appearance of blondish-reddish hair even though it is kind of that. She has stunning features due to great generics that include high cheek bones and clear skin even though she has plain old brown eyes. Her attire will change through the RP due to her personality in a certain degree. As Camille likes to point out, "I have the face for the movies,"

Personality: Camille knows that she is beautiful but doesn't try to play up to it because it always turns out really awkward for her. She doesn't lack confidence but she is not really aware of her capabilities as she is an astute strategist and able to think of the fly. Even though she is quite intelligent, Camille is really klutzy, says a lot of stupid things and pretty sarcastic, actually very sarcastic and tough, independent person with a very big snobbish streak to her.

History: Camille had an interesting childhood which was not actually interesting. Her mother was a bank clerk and her father was in exporting management for the Unova region where they lived (Castelia City). Camille always idolized Elesa for being a model with a tough attitude to boot and also loved the movies. She wanted to be a model and then a bank clerk and then a teacher. So she never had a goal at all, she figured that she might as well give co-ordination a try because it was better than nothing and it could earn her money. So she left along with her father from Castelia City all the way to Johto along with her lone Pokemon to try her luck and see if it leads somewhere successful.

Other: Just go with a Northern French accent and that she changes outfits a lot.

Name: Drew Hale

Gender: Male

Age: 15

Training Career: Coordinator

Appearance: Standing at 5'4", Drew is notably shorter than average height. Although he has a naturally thin build, he has enough muscle mass to not be considered scrawny. Drew's blond hair is medium-length and falls just above his ears, flaring out a bit towards the bottom. Drew's eyes are a brown color, with a subtle amber tint. His skin is fairly tanned, due to years of residing in the tropics of Hoenn. Apparel-wise, Drew is prepared for travel. His normal outfit consists of a simple white tee under a green and grey hoodie, which he leaves unzipped, with a '?' Unown symbol printed on it and black cargo jeans. He also wears a pair of brown hiking boots, in case he encounters rough terrain.

Personality: Drew is extremely selfless and fair-minded, always willing to help out, which makes him generally liked by most people. He is very critical of himself, therefore, he doesn't take losses and insults easily. He finds it hard to stay calm in the heat of battle, which often leads to him making rash decisions.

History: Drew had a fairly normal childhood, growing up in Mossdeep City. His father worked for the Devon Corporation and his mother was a skilled Pokemon nurse at the Pokemon League in Ever Grande City. Seeing their son had an interest in Pokemon training at a young age, they enrolled him at the local trainer school. Hoping that once he graduated he would continue with his studies and then work at Devon under his father, it was much to his parents' dismay that Drew wanted to become a Pokemon Coordinator and participate in the Hoenn Grand Festival, being that he preferred battles more for their strategy than for the sport. His father, especially infuriated, would not allow him to leave home. On his fifteenth birthday, Drew decided that he would travel to Johto to begin a journey, an idea which was not met with acceptance by his parents. However, after much pleading, he was able to convince them to let him go. As a gift for leaving, he received a Riolu from a friend.

Starter: Riolu (Rex)

Other: Drew has a hard time collecting his feelings about his parents and a girl he was close with in Mossdeep, so he often references these things.

Name: Desiderata Mynx

Gender: Female

Age: 19

Training Career: Trainer

Appearance: Desiderata is a very tall female, standing at 6' 11". Desiderata has long, dark red hair with darker highlights. She has somewhat pale skin, and amethyst-colored eyes. She usually wears a loose smoky tank-top and copper jeans, often with black flip-flops and a black grenade belt. However, instead of grenades, she has Poke-Balls in place. Her hair is usually put up in a dutch braid.

Personality: Desiderata is often seen as a sarcastic and rude individual, but as far as she's concerned, she's just being honest. However, she is very serious when someone's life is on the line, or if she cannot escape from a sticky situation. She has a thick Scottish accent.

History: Desiderata came from Blackthorn City, in which she was raised a tough and formidable girl. She hated to lose, especially to her dear brother Flynn. He was, of course, older than her - however, Desiderata always put up a big fight, and never gave up. There often were many occasions in which she managed to beat him, but she also had her fair share of losses. Her parents were killed by a flock of Honchkrow and Murkrow, and since then has vowed to never befriend a bird Pokemon - it brings back memories that are much to painful.

Starter: Absol

Other: Her brother, Flynn, is now a Gym Leader off in a distant region, in which he specializes in Dark types. His Weavile and Desiderata's Absol are best friends.
