I Attempted to beat the Poke'mon league on Firered asoon as i had defeated the final Gym. When i arrived at the league i had no pokemon above level 45 and i managed to pull through by trying out diffrent leads and figuring out how the computer would react to what i sent out first. I managed to beat My rival first turn. I cant remeber the there levels when i started but i put the levels they have now after defating the league?
My team -
Charizard - level 46 - Fly, Scarey face, Flamethrower, Blast burn
(just used him for 1-hit KO's with blast burn and switched out).
Vaporeon - level 51 - Toxic, Water pulse, surf, aurora beam.
Toxic and Spc def walling
Dugtrio - level 42 - Cut, sand tomb, Magnitude, Dig.
Death fouder and a quick sand tomb for extra damage
Golbat - level 44 - Wing Attack, Mean look, Confuse Ray, Bite.
Out speeding the enemy and landing super-effective attacks.
Snorlax - level 43 - Body slam, Strength, Rest, Sleep talk.
Taking hits and out lasting the enemy after a toxic from vaporeon
Butterfree - level 42 - Gust, Safegaurd, Stun Spore, Psybeam.
Para hax on the speedy pokemon.
Sooo luck hacks or Am i just brilliant??? :XD:
 
Nice, but I prefer my Wattson win with a level 16 Nincada and level 20 Shroomish. XD it was crazy. How did you feel?
 
I don't know about your case, but I once made it all the way to my rival's final Pokémon (I don't remember what it was) in FireRed before he swept my team. It took me almost 20 more tries before I was able to beat the Elite Four, and I never made it past Bruno any time until I beat them. It makes no sense to me that I managed to get all the way to my rival's final Pokémon the first time through, but wasn't able to get past Bruno any time after that.
 
One of the best fight I've had was in my last game of Gold, where I swept Whitney and her deadly Miltank of doom using only a Pineco, who was about lvl 17 I think.
 
On Firered, I beat my rival just because my Chansey kept getting repeated critical hits... (no lucky punch)

And that was the only time she was ever really lucky, other than when i found her with a lucky egg
 
Luck has been on my side other than in GenIV inwhich im constatly getting paradused etc. But yeah i tried 4 times against drake, and forgot to save it before advancing i had a toxic on vaporeon and alot of full restores :)
 
My luck had to be when I was in Battle Castle in Platinum and forgot to heal my pokemon and had only heatran with 1hp left against a magmortar. I used flash cannon and got it down to 2/3 HP. It used focus blast but missed, oh yeah! The I used flash cannon again, got a little more HP down. Magmar uses sunny day, whew! The I use flash cannon but it misses!

I then used flash cannon again, got magmortar down to 1 hp then it used sunny day again, but fails and I used dark pulse, bye bye magmortar. Could have been all over in one hit.

I got 28 wins in Battle Castle this way.
 
My luck was beating the Elite Four in Firered with only a Pidgeot with a level somewhere between 50 and 60, and a Venisaur around the same levels...
