I also find it interesting that in the Japanese version, the word "MEOWTH" appeared behind him rather than his Japanese name. (also note the M on his outfit rather than N or what have you)

A very nice and well drawn picture. It would look even better in color though, so I think you should color it!

Egh...I decided to take it a step further, and drew Jessie and James in the background and, suffice to say, they don't look all that good.
I guess I could try to colour the original pic on the computer, though.
