  1. He/Him
Master Hand thought to himself. The 8 original Smashers had been cast away to another world. Luckily, he had the foresight to, since the beginning of the tournaments, place a magic charm on the Smashers that, if they were brought back to life, would allow them to return back to this world. This world needs new heroes… the large appendage thought. This may spell the end of our world otherwise.
***
The world these 8 Smashers had been sent to was the real world, where eight ordinary teenagers would wake up to discover a life-sized trophy of a certain Smasher.

Huh? Morning already?

John opened his eyes to see daylight streaming through the curtains of his bedroom window. He rubbed his aching neck, and upon looking down, realized that he was still in his school clothes. When he looked up, John noticed that the small television mounted on the wall at the foot of his bed still ran Super Smash Bros. Brawl on his Wii. Must've fallen asleep while playing. That ten hour Smash Bros. marathon probably wasn't one of my best ideas, he said to himself. John slumped down in his bed, closing his eyes for a moment, then finally racked up the strength to pull himself up. Stepping over bags of potato chips and crushed soda cans, he made his way to the door, where he came eye to eye with a strange figure. "Gah!" John shrieked, louder than he had hoped. He stumbled backwards. John took a moment to catch his breath before turning again to the odd presence that had startled him. "What the heck? Is this some kind of joke?" There, standing in front of him, was a distinguishable trophy of Super Mario. John walked around the trophy, which stood at around 5'0, to inspect it properly. "This is a little strange..." he said, reaching out to touch it.

Waking up to her alarm clock, Valerie rose from her bed. She was still fully dressed… must've stayed up a little too long last night trying to get some of those trophies in Brawl. Rubbing her eyes, her sight fell upon a trophy of a green dinosaur. Yoshi.
Cautiously approaching the trophy, she reached out to touch the immobilized dinosaur. It was in the exact same pose as its Brawl trophy. Valerie suddenly remembered the method used to revive fighters from the Subspace Emissary mode, and touched the trophy's base.
———
Upon touching the trophy's base, there was a flash of light, and the trophy came back to life.
"Mama-mia…" the Italian plumber murmured, holding his head. "What happened?"

John's eyes widened and he let out a small yelp. "Uh....hi there.." he said, approaching Mario cautiously.

The trophy gave a flash of light, and Yoshi came back to life. Valerie didn't know how to react to this, and simply said, "Um…"
The dinosaur sniffed at her, before happily replying, "Yoshi!"
———
"Wait a minute… Who are you?" Mario asked John. "And where am I?"

"I'm John. And this happens to be my bedroom. D-Did you come from in there?" he asked Mario, pointing to the Wii.

"Ugh,shouldn't have played Brawl all night.Just had to get that record. But,it was worth it."He got dressed and ready. He grabbed his pack."Ok,Mom I'm going out for my hike."When he got outside,he saw something in the distance. When he got closer,he saw it was something amazing.A life-size trophy of Link.He touched the base of Link's trophy. He knew this may not work, but he still did it anyway.

"W-where'd you come from?" Valerie asked the dinosaur.
"Hmmm…" Yoshi hummed. At that moment, a portal appeared on the wall of Valerie's bedroom. Yoshi pointed towards the portal, excitedly spouting, "Yoshi! Yoshi!"
"You come from in there?"
"Yoshi!"
———
The plumber glanced towards the console. "No, I didn't come from there…" A portal appeared on the wall of John's bedroom. "…but I did come from there."
———
In a flash of light, the Hyrulian hero came back to life. Shaking his head, he looked around at his surroundings, then at Derek.

His mind was racing. His heart was pumping.Link was right in front of him, alive. He had no idea how this day could get wierder, until a few seconds after when he saw a portal like thing in a tree."Uh,hello?"

John gasped. "W-what the hell?! What is that thing?" He stood, paralyzed by shock and partially from fear.

"Alright, then let's get you back home!"
"Yoshi!"
With that, the pair headed into the portal.
———
"That's my way back home. Let's-a go!" He grabbed John, heading into the portal.
———
Link nodded at Derek, before looking towards the portal.

"I-Is that where you came from, maybe?"He really had no idea what was happening.

Derek thought to himself when he walked toward the portal."I wonder where this will take us,but even more why is Link even here, wherever we're going,I'll figure out."

OOC:Do we meet everyone else when we come out of the portal?

"What do you think you're doing?" John cried as Mario dragged him into the portal.

Valerie and Yoshi ended up on the N64 version of Yoshi's Island.
"Oh wow! I remember this place from the first game!"
"Yoshi? Hmmm…" The dinosaur was looking at the back of her hands. Valerie followed his (she presumed it was a he) gaze. On the back of her hands was a Smash Bros. emblem.
———
John and Mario were transported to, if John knew his Smash Bros well, what he might recognize as the beginning of the Mushroom Kingdom stage from Melee's Adventure Mode.
———
Derek and Link would find themselves in the beginning of the Legend of Zelda stage from Melee's Adventure Mode.

"This place...." John immediately recognized his surroundings as the Mushroom Kingdom. "What's this?" he wondered aloud, as he noticed the strange symbol on the back of his hand.

"Wait,I know this place,to get out we have to find the Triforce.Ok,now what is on my hand?"he wondered as he came though the portal.

"What're these?"
"Yoshi! Yoooshi."
Before Valerie could respond, a red Yoshi dropped out of the sky, and glared at the pair.
"Oh, you want a fight?"
"Yoshi!" the red Yoshi replied.
———
"That's… I'm-a not exactly sure what that is," Mario replied.
A Goomba approached them at that point, clearly looking for a fight.
———
Link gave the symbols a questioning look; it seemed that he didn't know what they were, either.
An Octorok appeared at that point. Considering the hostile nature of the species, it would be no surprise that it wanted to fight.

John turned to face the approaching foe. "Hey, a goomba! Imma stomp on it!" he yelled, leaping towards the small, brown fungus-based creature in an attempt to land on top of it.
