Ranked Damage Event: Super Sparring No. 17
Ranked Damage Events follow the same basic rules as the Damage Challenge, while applying some additional special rules to ensure a special challenge for players. The three battles included in this latest Super Sparring event, and their associated rules, are as follows:
- Challenge Blue
- Single opponent, Ice-type weakness
- No special rules
- Challenge Nermona
- Three opponents, Psychic-type weakness
- Special rule: Ally special attack damage significantly reduced
- Reduces the damage allies deal with special attack moves by 80%.
- Challenge Bede
- Single opponent, Fire-type weakness
- Special rule: Ally physical attack damage significantly reduced
- Reduces the damage allies deal with physical attack moves by 80%.

- 75,000: Training Ticket ×10
- 100,000: Strike Roll Cake Coin ×1
- 125,000: Training Ticket ×10

A ranking feature is also available to this event, allowing players to see how well they've done against other trainers. Players whose Best Score is within the top 10,000 spots at the end of the event will be awarded Master Rank, and all players will receive a special Title based on their final standings in the rankings. Final Ranking Results will only be announced after the event has concluded, from January 8th, at 10:00pm (PST), and will remain available until January 15th, at 9:59pm (PST).
Players should also note the following when playing this event:
- To participate, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
- Area info completion data will not be carried over the next time this event returns.
- The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those players can actually obtain.
- It may take some time for rankings to be updated, meaning the in-game rankings may not reflect the most recent results.
- Battles finished after the event period ends may not be reflected in the rankings.
All players who log-in to Pokémon Masters EX between December 31st, at 10:00pm (PST) and January 8th, at 9:59pm (PST) will be entered into a draw to receive a share in a giveaway of 200 million Gems. All players who log-in during this period will receive a minimum 300 gems, with 10 First Prize winners taking away a whopping 60,000 gems each.
The amount of gems and prizes for this 2025 draw are identical to that offered for 2024 and 2023. The prizes available are as follows
- First Prize: Gems ×60,000 - 10 winners
- Second Prize: Gems ×12,000 - 50 winners
- Third Prize: Gems ×6,000 - 7,000 winners
- Fourth Prize: Gems ×3,000 - 9,000 winners
- Fifth Prize: Gems ×1,000 - 10,000 winners
- Sixth Prize: Gems ×600 - 200,000 winners
- Consolation Prize: Gems ×300 - All players who log-in during the period but do not win another prize
