I've seen the Legion in many forms and they have a different SuperPerson in each one.

Teen Titans comic - Superboy helps the Legion against the Fatal Five Hundred with the help of the Titans. He goes back with the Titans after.

Justice League Unlimited cartoon - Supergirl, Green Lantern, and Green Arrow help the Legion against the Fatal Five. Supergirl stays with the Legion because she likes Brainiac.

Legion of Superheroes cartoon - I haven't seen this in awhile so my info might be a little off. Anyways, Superman is just discovering his powers when he's brought to the future. He helps the Legion fight someone (can't remember who) and decides to stay.

It's weird how they do that. Any other characters anyone know that this has happened to?

Valor/ Lar Gand who was a Daxamite (Very similar to Kryptonian in physiology) was from the current timeline and eventually ended up in the future with the Legion of Superheroes in the comics during the 90s. At the time he was also responsible for seeding the various planets that each member eventually comes from based on their abilities. This was during the period when there was no Superboy in DC canon due to the revamp of Superman and no multiverse.

Mon-El, too. Basically Supergirl . . . except as a boy.
