I had put this before in the normal forum, but I prefer this sub-forum better for this topic.

Well, I've just realized this thing about Togekiss and Mr. Mime. Its a supporting moveset that (I think) only those two can hold (with the obvious exception of Smeargle):

- SAFEGUARD, SWAGGER,PSYCH UP,BATON PASS.

It appears easy to break, but it's not that easy.
Now, let's say you have a Bastiodon and Togekiss with that moveset. Bastiodon uses Iron Defense and Togekiss uses Safeguard. Then Swagger to raise attack but not confusion and Bastiodon uses Rock Polish. Then Bastiodon uses another sharply raising move (RP or ID) and Togekiss uses Psych Up. Then you can make Bastiodon again use RP or ID and Togekiss uses Baton Pass. You transfer those marvelous stats to the Pokemon you want and you've got great defense, attack and speed for both of your Pokemon.

It looks pretty basic, but it can deal serious damage. Special Sweepers like Mewtwo can easily break it, so you have to be careful about that.

It can also be used for single battles but just to copy attack, and with no need for Safeguard.

Taunt.

It will ruin the whole set.

And Mr. Mime's Defense is not that impressive.

Yes, I know Mr. Mime's defense is poor, but is one of the two who can learn it.

Besides, this strategy is for common teams with sweepers such as Scizor which rarely have Taunt.

3 turns of setup in doubles is not a consistently good strategy. It will work sometimes, but it'll be pretty easy to break. Also, Taunt.

The fact that you include Mewtwo as a breaker tells me you're thinking random PBR and not real competitive battles.

From what I read in Smogon, double battles are usually more offensively oriented. It's actually more difficult to use set-up moves there.

Well guys, by what you tell me, my setup is a failure...

Can anyone suggest me any moveset for my Togekiss and Bastiodon then? So at least I can stand a chance against real battles before getting beaten...

This isn't a team, and therefore shouldn't have been posted as its own thread.
