i searched for magnemite on bulbapedia and it said swarm at fuego ironworks , but what does swarm acctually mean ?

how and when can i catch a magnemite or any other swarm pokemon for that matter

1. You posted in the wrong forum.

2. A swarm is when a pokemon usually not found in the region appears in great numbers, as if they were from the region. The swarm of the day is a random thing, so you'll have to wait until Lucas/Dawn's little sister tells you Magnemite is swarming. She'll tell you also which route the pokemon swarming that day is.

You also need to have the National Dex before swarms will appear.

does anyone know how often they will swarm there then ? or is it just random ?
