Yes, I realize before and after posting this that there is also another Kingdom Hearts-related Roleplay up already, but this is....more different to say the least. Or, at least, I will try for it to be. Also it's sort of a work in progress in terms of plot, but I don't really know where I could go with this yet. Maybe somebody interested could assist or contribute? I'd be open for them sorts of things ^u^;
Also, even though this is based on Kingdom Hearts, some changes and introduction to new things is definitely a thing here. Also it takes place in the very very very far back past compared to the canonical games, so no canon characters will show up. If that's not your glass of ice-cold sweet tea, I'm sorry.
Lore:
About the world(s)
The Unnamed Creatures of Mayhem:
The Mystical Energies of Light, Neutrality, and Darkness and Their Uses:
The Key-blades:
Key-blades are strange weapons with several purposes like “locking” and severing links between the worlds. They seem to vary from person to person, and can change by replacing the “keychain” attached to them, either made by someone, or created due to events we don’t yet know that we don’t yet know. All we know is that each keychain possesses an ability unique to each one. These abilities are for the wielder to figure out.

Also, most likely signups for this will always be open, even if the story has already started, if I approve of your character you can just join in any time you see fit.

Lore:
Ages ago, long before the time of the current generation of Keyblade Masters and Wielders, and sometime before the War of χ / The Keyblade Wars, there was once a time that the worlds weren’t so distant. No, in this time, the worlds had only just split apart, breaking away from the fading remains of a connected world. In this time, one could simply wander the borders of their world, and end up in another world. Measures had been taken to map these faint connections that led to the creation of a network between the worlds. Though, those were required to be changed every so often, the borders changing without warning and sometimes closing off a world for a period of time.
In this time and age, individuals had begun to be effected by this change; newborns to elderly and every age in between were blessed with the magical properties of these magical borders, imbuing them with neutral, mystical energy, neither light nor dark. Not yet. For some reason that had no valid explanation, this energy could manifest into the form of various objects, but most commonly keys. The first ones to receive these odd keys, through experimentation, had learned that these keys could “lock” these borders in place, for a very long time as well, or shut the borders completely, isolating the worlds.
These keys, well, they could also be used as weapons as well, the odd objects possessing the same shape as blades, most only lacking sharp edges, though. After more studying, it was soon to be discovered that these… key-blades—as they were jokingly referred as by drunkards at taverns—could be used by the owner of each to channel their neutral energy into the form of the elements, and the many more elements that were made by mixing these elements. Magic, you could say.
All was well for a few decades, no wars, no famine, no destruction. But soon, some of these “Key-blade Knights” or “Linkers” as they were called, grew arrogant with their new powers, and abused them, tyrants taking over their respective world or others, hurting the weak, and various other negative activities. These negative activities resulted in their neutral energies to become corrupt and dark. They would become a general nuisance to the law and governments, shutting off the links between the worlds and evading arrest. They were the first ones to embrace the taint of Darkness. But, not all that follow the Dark path are bad, per say, though it would state that they have been living a rather negative lifestyle.
Others, they were the more normal bunch. They would rather to prefer to use their powers for common uses, or simply do not prefer to use their powers for positive or negative gains. They would be the ones who prefer the Neutral path. These men, women, or whatever these goofy beings identify themselves as, tend to either not be involved with the public and could just be the average person who was gifted, and use their powers for common trades in business, join the police, or is just the “common man” going about their normal life. This isn’t to say that these people are neither bad nor good; they could very well be one or the other, or even both.
And then there the positive bunch. If you could take a guess, these people could be compared to Knights in Shining armor, like the ones who would show up in fairytales. They would rather use their powers to help, or try to help people, the environment and all of that shiz. Generally, those falling under the Light path tend to be more heroic or helpful, pursuing careers as healers, join the legion that was formed to ensure that the links between the worlds are secure, and to reconnect the links severed by those with negative motives. They also, like everyone else regardless of their alignment, fight off any of the strange, unnamed beings that have always been appearing since the worlds split, that are a source of mayhem and corruption across all of the world, making sure that no one will be harmed. None of this, again, is to say that every person who follows the Light path are good, they’ve just been living a more positive lifestyle. Hell, a Darkness-aligned person could be a saint and the kindest and sweetest person ever where a Light-aligned person could be an absolute asshole.
((Also, if you would like to add on to this, or change some things, I’m open for suggestions so just ask away! ^u^))

About the world(s)
As previously mentioned, the worlds were split apart from one single world, though no one can figure out the reason. Maybe it was because mankind, through wars, and general negativity, or maybe some weird shenanigans caused it, like it was a “just desserts” from (a figurative) mistress existence and her cruelty. WHATEVER the case, these worlds are still connected and can be traveled between on foot, not yet distant enough to require space travel. These worlds, also, have not become bizarre like they become centuries before, and grasp onto the reality of the past. At least, that is the case for those worlds that reside at or near where the once together world was. Those further away from where the world was tend to lose their grip on reality, almost becoming fantasy-like and alien, but these are nothing in comparison to the worlds in the times of Sora and co.
((I’m still pondering whether or not there should be like, a hub world larger than the rest, but it is most certain that some worlds are closer and share more bonds than others, like, they’d be close-knitted communities.
There is no set worlds either that your character would have to live in if you don’t want them to. By all means, make a new world or have a world based off of another book, comic, game, tv show, movie, etc. As long as they wouldn’t be too far-fetched, they could very well blend in with the rest of the worlds. But, if they are, I could accept them as one of the further out, not so well connected worlds. Also, most likely NONE of the canon worlds that have shown up in the games are going to show up. Unless you guys would want them to. Sorry. ono))

The Unnamed Creatures of Mayhem:
These creatures, by themselves, do not seem like a threat and can be taken care of swiftly. They can be fast and tricky though, and can possess objects, creatures and very rarely humanoid beings, their minds being too powerful for the weak beings to control. When they possess something, they can be quite a pain to eliminate, and even harder to do so without damaging the thing or being possessed. They come in various sizes, the larger they are the more variety they have in what they have. They’re generally translucent and shimmer in various colors, with a simple × symbol imprinted in their foreheads and abdomens. It is unknown how they came to be, or what their scheme is. Or, who or what is controlling them if there even is. All that is known about them is that they seem to take interest in wreaking havoc and causing mayhem and demise.
That is all the information on them for now. More information will be gathered as they are researched.

The Mystical Energies of Light, Neutrality, and Darkness and Their Uses:
Essentially, all of these energies function the same way, and every living being possesses even just a little of each. It is just that Key-blade wielders have an abundance of the energy and are able to control and manipulate it to their advantage or maybe their own and other’s disadvantages if they mess something up.
Almost every living being can regenerate this energy over time, but if they are burnt up and the person is still trying to manipulate this energy, they will use their own stamina and eventually will burn through all of this and then there are risks of burning up or collapsing, and even dying in some cases.
Fortunately, to avoid this, scientists developed a serum that can triple or even quadruple the regeneration of energy in the living being that consume them. And they were made into drinks, of all things, and in various flavors, the beings favorite flavor possibly allows them to regenerate more, as it’s what they became used to. These are referred to as Ethers, and act much like energy drinks. It is possible to overload on these Ethers, so be careful!
As mentioned, the average being with abundant amounts of Energy is able to manipulate it into the six main elements of Fire, Water, Air, Earth, Time, and Space. These elements can be mixed and matched and can turn into new elements, such as Water and Fire making Steam, and then Steam can turn into Electric ((like Thunder and Thunderga and stuff
)), and so on and so on. A being new to manipulating elements are limited to the main/basic ones, and maybe even a few basic elements at that, for a long time and it takes quite a bit to master, and not even experts are able to do it all. They do have teachers and scholars to help those beginning, but, it costs quite a bit of munny.
Energy manipulation is common for Key-blade wielders, but others can train their energies to become stronger, and there are quite a few non-wielders with powerful enough power manipulation, or, Magic as many prefer it to be called, to match or over power wielders.
((I will list the skill tree/branches from the main elements and the possibilites, or even just make a google doc that anybody can access and add to whenever you guys would want.))

Name: Walter Holloway
Age: 18
Gender: Masculine Male
Race: Human
Sexuality: Nope. Ain’t no one got time for that. (Undecided)
Appearance:
Walter is a young man in his late teens, and rather fit, built lean like a boxer should be. His short dirty blonde hair is usually gelled and combed to the side, he likes to keep neat. Usually wears clothing common to the time of the…1920’s, a time before the world had been split up. Strange. He’s around 5’9, and he weighs around the 180-200 pound range, most of the weight being more muscle though than fat, though.
Homeworld: Columbia, and some of the northeast coast of what used to be the United States (the Bioshock universe, specifically Infinite). Columbia is a city floating in the sky, floating due to SCIENCE. Strangely, instead of hopping ahead with technology, like other worlds, they went back in technology, featuring tech from the nineteen twenties… but with additions that weren’t normal for that time. People also went back to their…rather old-fashioned and strange mindsets, similar to other people of the time, but a whole lot worse in Columbia. In this city, there is also a strange robotic creature called the Songbird that patrols the city, which, as the name implies, is a huge robotic bird that can rip things easily to shreds.
Backstory: Walter is a simple guy; he never made himself stand out. He lives in a less urban area of the floating city with his parents, real nice people. Mr. Holloway here partakes in boxing as a way to relieve stress, also to train himself if he ever needs it. He also had drank Vigors (drinks that permanently gives one powers, but require salts, which also regenerate in this case, for sake of removing complexity) before he even became a wielder. It was a few years ago when he got his own keyblade. He doesn’t know why though, and he would rather use guns as weapons, but, he might find a use. He’s never left Columbia, though, because like all youth, he was raised to believe that Columbia was heaven on earth and no one should ever leave. That is, until those Unnamed beings came and started to attack the city. He finally found a use for the Key fighting these things. He had also learned of other worlds during this first encounter, someone assisted him with slaying the beings, and they looked…odd, not from Columbia, or that time. They explained that they were from elsewhere, and now he’s been pondering exploring the worlds.
While he’s a good fighter and is quite good with guns, he’s hesitant, and slow sometimes with his actions, and he can get frightened easily. Ironically, he also has a fear of heights and has a weak leg that was broke once in a fight and was never healed properly.
Alignment: Neutral
Keyblade: Bitten Bullet (ability: Lucky Shells-as long as this keychain is on, the user gets unlimited ammo with their projectile weapons as long as they have the Energy/MP to sustain it (It’ll eat through his MP reeeeal fast judging by how trigger happy he is. Also his guns are weak :y))

Rules:
1. Don’t be a jerk OOCly. Your character can be a jerk, that’s really fine! Just, don’t be rude to other players.
2. This is a T-rated RP. So, that means swearing can be a thing, yes, as long as they’re not cluster F-bombs (unless the character is a Sir Swears-a-lot or something, we’ll talk about that), kissing and relationship stuff is fine as long as it’s not smut or borderline smut. Take that elsewhere if you really have to RP that far. Alcohol, drinking and cigarettes are somewhat fine, but drugs aren’t. Those ain’t never good and shouldn’t be involved at all.
3. Don’t make a flawless or overpowered character, please. One, not much development can happen with them, and they also get somewhat boring being able to easily do something like take down a boss in one hit compared to others fighting the boss for a good hour.
4. This roleplay will be somewhat serious, but not grimdarkly so. Though, randomness and plain non-explained silliness would have to be kept down at a moderate level to accommodate this seriousness.
5. OOC should be in spoilers or made to be easily distinguished from the IC text, to eliminate confusion.
6. And have fun please! Some more rules may be added depending on what goes on.
