*ahem*
Well, now that I have your undivided attention...
8D

I'll...just be showing my custom stuffs for now, and only that...since I really only have access to DeviantART right now.
My better stuff's kinda on DA, anyways.

First of all, my DeviantART-- Jirachi-the-Chao

And some stuffs.

http://jirachi-the-chao.deviantart....4483?q=gallery:Jirachi-the-Chao/2331911&qo=43
Froslass Chao. This is very, very old...and I honestly don't like it anymore. But, people are still fav'ing it on DA for some reason. o_O;

From last year. It's just a Flygon plushie--pretty self-explanitory.

More of them plushies. I went on a rampage, kinda. The Cubone was the very first one I made.

Okay...as goes for this, I have no idea why I'm really posting this one up. A filler, maybe? Ugh. So. Many. Flaws.

http://jirachi-the-chao.deviantart....6253?q=gallery:Jirachi-the-Chao/2331911&qo=20
Caterpie.

http://jirachi-the-chao.deviantart....1157?q=gallery:Jirachi-the-Chao/2331911&qo=17
Lickitot fake--concept was revived. The pose was actually by a different user--we unintentionally ended up collaborating on it.

This is really my only show of my try of isometric pixel art that I have posted on DA. It was some type of project.

GSC-styled Skitty and Delcatty.

http://jirachi-the-chao.deviantart....84284?q=gallery:Jirachi-the-Chao/2331911&qo=8
GSC-styled Electrike. The Manectric exists somewhere in the following deviation.

This is just so danged big, so just click the link and hit the download button.

Bulba x Chikorita line. Wow, that Venusaur's green looks terribly bright on this monitor. Perhaps the brightness setting is too high....

http://jirachi-the-chao.deviantart....31545?q=gallery:Jirachi-the-Chao/2331911&qo=4
Type icons. You can use these, but you absolutely must credit me. Permission would also be nice.

http://jirachi-the-chao.deviantart....37745?q=gallery:Jirachi-the-Chao/2331911&qo=3
Kirby Air Ride sprite project. This idea of mine has been around since 7th grade, so this WILL most likely be continued soon.

http://jirachi-the-chao.deviantart....38555?q=gallery:Jirachi-the-Chao/2331911&qo=2
Some miscellanous Chao stuffs. I was kinda wanting to make a customizable Chao-based Flash game (based solely on the SA2B Chao), but I really don't know whether this will be revisited or not.

This was for some odd adoptables site. Best to read the description and whatnot.

Eh. I liked this and all, but I dunno if I'll recontinue this, either. We'll just have to see.

That's all I prefer to show for now. Enjoy, I guess. *shrugs* :p

Erm...everything needs to be in link form, since all I'm getting for the preview is a load of broken images. >__>
Sorry. You're just gonna have to visit the links. I know, it makes the post look VERY unattractive. I'm afraid y'all are just gonna have to endure that. DX

Hmm. Apparently my humble disposition just won't cut it. *slyly glances at edited title*

I couldn't resist. Anyways, this is BakaMichi (of DeviantART)'s avatar base. I just vamped it up...quite a bit. It took a long while.
Due to the fact that BakaMichi featured this as a free, editable icon, this will also serve that same function. However, I will ask that you credit Baka-Michi for the original base...AND credit to me for spicing it up...if you wish to edit/use this.

You really like chaos! :3 You combine two very popular franchises beautifully and adorably with the froslass chao! It brings back memories :) *sigh*

The shading, lines and expression of the plushies make them look very lifelike and, again, adorable! If they were in shops I would buy them.

The improved detail on the licky will most likely be very useful for beginner licky-makers. I don't know why, but that added detail to the tongue of it is brilliant and really adds to it, giving it a somewhat more 3d effect, imo.

And lastly, you should really, if you can't already do it yourself, get those flash-game-based images animated together by someone like you did with the licky, because I would really like to see that!

Keep up the great work! ^^

You will make Bb scream if he comes here with that Lickie.

I really like the consept of the sprites. Most of them I have seen on your Da, and all of them I like. I think the de-vamps could use a bit more green on the outline, or pink. Otherwise, the sprites are the best I have seen so far.

So.... this thread is solely for you to showcase your artwork that you have on DeviantART? Am I the only one that thought that The Spriter's Sanctuary was for people who specialize in making and creating sprites, usually for other people and for money? Please correct if I'm wrong, but this really looks like you've created this thread to showcase your art on DeviantART on Bulbapedia.
~MP, HSF1, and Liz

Hm. That's funny, because did you even bother to click any of the links?

Nonetheless, I do need to update this more often, but anything I may post here and then deviantART is obviously not with the intention of the two linking together. Besides...even bother reading my little note?

Yes, while I did show a link to my DeviantART itself, I also link too specific deviations that, if you TRUELY bothered to look, you would be aware that it is all pixel art.

Sorry, but try again. :/

Oh, right, almost forgot; if it WERE my intention to just "solely showcase my artwork that I have on DeviantART," then you should be highly aware that all I really would have mentioned was, "hey gaise, heres my deviantART account. Enjoy browsing aimlessly through it."

Hmm...well, while I'm at it, why not update?

Tinypic2.png

This general concept was inspired by a few TCG pixel overs by of DeviantART. His TCG Pixel Overs are here, here, here, here, here, here, and here. Also inspired by a couple other DeviantART users who followed along with the concept--Diggeh and 44tim44.

This took me a little while. However, the only thing that's really a direct pixel over was the Torchic itself--everything else was just heavily referenced off of. Not much of a difference between the two, no, but I just thought I'd mention that.

Despite being rather tedious, this little guy was pretty fun. I may end up doing more. Dithering in this was heavily used due to the fact that, compared to its counterpart, this was very small; I also wanted to limit my colors as much as I could (even though there's still quite a few, but that was a tidbit inevitable, in my case), therefore, dithering was used moreso than I would usually use it to effectively blend the colors together. It was really only used on surfaces that are more likely to have a ruffled texture, though, such as the trees, grass, and Torchic's fluff (feathers. Hey, baby chickens don't actually grow their feathers until they become older, so...yeah.). I really need to try to get rid of some of it, though, because in certain areas it is rather overly-excessive. *goes to do that*

I lurves Kouki Saitou's Pokemon TCG artwork. I just love the overall feel and consistency of it~ <3

I love your lickys!
The detail is very good.
Also, your flygon plushie is cool too.
But, one question, what are all those wooper emoticons for?
My little brother loved them because wooper is his favorite pokemon.

Thanks. ^^

Actually, I don't have any idea anymore. I think I was intending to make a few different Pokemon emoticon sets, but...well, that never turns out happening as planned. XD

Oh, really? Glad your little brother likes them, then. ^^b

I really like the look of that Torchic, I think I'll give TCG pixel-overs a go sometime... :D Can't find any flaws, fantastic work. :D

You're easily one (if not THE) best pixel artist I've seen in these forums O_O I just had to look closer at the pixel-over Vulpix with zoom, just to soak in all the detail. Your work is incredible. I'm jealous X3!! I wanna draw like you when I'm older D:

Buizel: you should try it out sometime. Pretty fun. :3

Aori: Thanks. ^^; Well, do you draw currently? Being able to take a pencil to paper is about 25% of art--knowing correct anatomical proportions and several other things is the majority of it. The latter can take a bit to learn, but I'm sure that if you're dedicated, you'll eventually get the hang of it (I can't say much though, for I don't really know what your artwork is like; and I actually don't have the time to take a quick look at the moment. ^^;; ).
Improving artistically, in my point of view, is basically all trial and error, and of course, effort.

qnwvg3.png

I has a new one. This one actually didn't take as long as that Torchic did.

Wow, your torchic and pelipper are amazing. they're cute and awesome :D
I can only do miniscule things..

You're a great pixel artist~

OMGZ SUPER VAMPZ.

THAT is adorable. No, not adorable. PRECIOUS. NO! NOT EVEN! THAT IS THE BEST THING EVAR!

It's almost as cute as my baby brother. And THAT is a compliment.

It's all smooth and shady and the tongue is just perfect... how did you do that?!

Raikou: Thanks. ^^;

Mew: a lot like how they do in the Sonic Advance 1-styled pixel art (ending screen) with the lightsource, except they don't contrast from each other too excessively. And thanks. ^^'

qp4dw1.png

Combusken. Flames turned out satisfactory, but the background = eh.

Hey! I have that card xD

Your art is incredible! There is just so much detail with each of the pixels, it is amazing.

Just wondering, do you use anti-aliasing on your TCG pixel-overs? I've never really understood it...

Red G: Lulz! Which one? And thanks. xD

Buizel: Yes, I do indeed--especially on the lineart (reverse anti-aliasing). That, and dithering to help the colors blend and give texture where it's needed.
And as goes for understanding it....
This tutorial made by Gas 13 should help greatly. ^^
Anti-aliasing can be your best friend in pixel art; just try not to overuse it, though.

Decided to get back into isometric pixel art for now.
picture.php

I'm not exactly a veteran in isometry or anything, but I'm making pretty good progress as to getting a handling of just what the hell I'm doing.

The shading style was supposed to give it a cartoony look, yes, but yet was ALSO meant to show much detail in the "innards" of the exterior border (black outline.).

This technique, depending on how it is used, tends to make things "pop out at you" a bit more.

No matter how much I had fixed the font, I still despise how it turned out. Meh, I suppose I can work on that tomorrow.

Wow, I've been working on some isometric stuff lately too, if it turns out anywhere near as good as that, I'll be delighted. ^^ The only problem I can see is the letters 'PC' but I understand that it's probably impossible to write detailedly at that angle. xD
