Tabitha's Name

Did NOA know Tabitha was a girls' name when they named him? I've been RPing him (shameless plug: in the RP linked to in my sig) and this has been bothering me for some time.

(I'm pretty sure that was his name in the games. If that was just a dub error, feel free to correct. Still, just as puzzling, given they OBVIOUSLY gave him a male voice.)

Yeah, he was called Harlem incorrectly by 4kids (as well as Shelly being called Isabelle), and then they changed him back to his game name, Tabitha (now the error is even worse...).

I think Tabitha has something to do with fire...and I do know men have that name.

We have a big foofy cat named Tabitha, so consequently, I prefer the name Harlan for the Magma agent.

And according to my name book, Tabitha means "gazelle".

The first time I encountered him, I thought he was female, but now the name Tabitha seems more fitting for guys than for girls.
