So the last team I post here wasn't at all good. I thought it over and I've got another one sorted - hopefully better than last time. Idea is to encourage switches / stall while still hitting hard.

407.png

Roserade, Natural Cure @ Focus Sash
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Toxic Spikes
- Sleep Powder
- Leaf Storm
- Hidden Power [Ice]

A fast, powerful special lead for first putting enemy to sleep and laying down toxic spikes. Leaf Storm for powerful STAB and HP Ice for coverage

373.png

Salamence, Intimidate @ Leftovers
EVs: 208 HP/76 Atk/40 Def/184 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Dragon Claw
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Roost

Salamence as a powerful and bulky asset to stall with Roost, and set up for a sweep with DDance. Roost is necessary if I want to be able to sweep with Salamence as a result of the Sandstorm damage (From Tyranitar) / entry hazard damage that will stack up.

462.png

Magnezone, Magnet Pull @ Life Orb
EVs: 172 HP/84 Spd/252 SAtk
Mild nature (+SAtk, -Def)
- Thunderbolt
- Flash Cannon
- Signal Beam
- Metal Sound

Magnezone to trap and take on the Steels that'll put a stop to Salamence (Bronzong/Skamory) and as a powerful special attack force.

Scizor, Technician @ Choice Band
EVs: 160 HP/176 Atk/16 Spd/156 SDef
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- U-turn
- Bullet Punch
- Superpower
- Quick Attack

Scizor will force switches, necessary to build up the damage from Stealth Rock, infect more with Toxic Spikes and stall for poison damage and Sandstorm damage. Quick attack to allow damage on Infernape that this team'll be weak to if Tentacreul is chosen over Swampert. Bullet Punch is a must, and superpower for added strength.

Tyrannitar, Sandstream @ Leftovers
EVs: 104 HP/144 Atk/72 Def/188 Spe
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance / Stealth Rock
- Counter
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake

Stone Edge for powerful STAB and comined with Counter and Earthquake should be able to take care of most of what will be encountered. Sandstream acts as another layer on top of Toxic spikes and Stealth Rock for indirect damage. (Stealth Rock to be set up by TTar or Swampert if included in team)

For the last slot not sure between

Swampert, Torrent @ Leftovers
EVs: 252 HP/196 Def/60 SAtk
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spe)
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Surf
- Ice Beam

Or

Tentacruel, Toxic Ooze @ Leftovers
EVs: 252 HP/120 Def/136 SpD
Calm Nature (+SpD, -Att)
- Toxic Spikes
- Rapid Spin
- Sludge Bomb
- Surf

Swampert has Sandstorm immunity and can lay down Stealth Rock. Tentacreul is really just for Rapid Spin / extra Toxic Spikes should Roserade's be spun away, and also as an Infernape counter. If Swampert makes the cut then Tyranitar's Stealth Rock will be replaced with DDance.

So yeah any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Please edit and say what each Pokemon does on your team/how it helps your strategy because all I can do is list threats for the team because I have no clue wtf each Poke's purpose is...

just a hint, swampert has more attack the special attack. Use waterfall over surf, and ice punch/avalance over ice beam.

Done. Hopefully is enough detail to be of some use.

I say go Crunch on TTar in place of counter but thats just me, I dont like having to rely on my opponent damaging me to hit them back. I'd rather just take them out with a powerful STAB attack. but I guess thats just playstyle...

True, Swampert's Attack is higher, but Surf and Ice Beam are more useful, allowing it to be able to KO common physical walls/sponges (Hippowdon, Gliscor, etc).

So whats the opinion on the Swampert v Tentacruel issue?

I vote Tentacruel, since it can provide an entry hazard and Rapid Spin support.

So stealth rock on Tyranitar? Any other opinion on Counter/Crunch?

If you have tentacruel you dont need Roserade. Tentacruel is bulky enough that if Toxic spikes are spun away later, it can set them back up. If you want to use Tyranitar as a lead, use Stealth rock and counter, if you want to use it mid game, use dragon dance and crunch, you dont want a negative priority move on a speed boosting sweeper, generally when your goal is to get enough attack to kill something.

If you want to use Tyranitar as a lead go for it, if not you can still use it mid game and this frees up a set for another pokemon (Roserade isn't needed alongside Tentacruel)
