So, how do I take pics from those? I've tried using "print screen", but when I paste it it shows the image as it is in the media player, and when I close the player the pic goes away!

*Shrug* You can try making it full screen, then press "Print Screen", then crop the image.

Hm. For Window Media Player, you might want to try... uhm. Tools > Options > Performance > Advanced, and turning off the "use overlays" option under "Video Acceleration". I don't know about RealPlayer, but maybe it has a similar option?

And if that doesn't do anything (or if it's already unchecked), then, uh. *shrug*

To take pictures from WMP, you pause on the picture you want them hit CTRL+i.

...That is, if you're talking about the non-net file thinger. If you're talking about taking a picture from an internet WMP thing, such as those found at Comedycentral.com, I don't know. CTRL+i doesn't work there, just as Print Screen doesn't.
When it comes to [not] getting pictures from those things, I hate them.

Or you can go the easy route and download Media Player Classic, open the video, go to the particular frame that you want, then go to File > Save Image, and save it as a JPG or BMP.

I use Paint Shop Pro myself. You can download free for 30 days; after that, you have to pay for the full version.

Paint Shop Pro has a screenshot function? Which version would that be?
