Seriously? Was it necessary to get an uber n00b in the anime? We watched this saga for 4 YEARS. And it had TREMENDOUS buildup leading to the Sinnoh League. And then we had an epic showdown with Satoshi and Shinji which lasted multiple episodes. Then, against Takuto, there was one episode for this battle, which didn't even last the entire episode! Really? Takuto and the writers trolled us, big-time.

I don't care if the Black and White games are coming soon, you don't have to screw the anime because of it. It should have been planned out better and actually have an epic match with Ash and another trainer. Even Takuto. But don't slap Ash in the face after watching him for 4 years.

I guarantee that the writers did this to get to the BW saga. Sadly it seems like the anime has become a total marketing tool for the games.
 
After playing Battle Revolution and having to battle a massive amount of people who like to load up their teams with legendaries, I appreciate Ash finding himself in the same situation. It seems more like a meta-joke, really. Kind of like how Dr. Yung was a Sharker and Paul a hardcore EV trainer.
 
Its not that big of a deal, get over it. Putting all of "the buildup" aside, the battle was fun to watch, and thats what really matters.

Agreed. And it's just another challenge for Ash to face. He's never faced anyone with legendaries in league matches before. Now he did.
 
The battle was terrible. Were we seriously watching the same show?

Takuto is a troll and is worse than an UberNoob.

It really just depends on how you look at it. I just judge an episode on how it appealed to me overall. And this one appealed really good, because seriously, when would you ever get to watch a trainer using LEGENDARIES? It was awesome!

You have to remember... the show is aimed at kids, and kids don't really care if Takuto was a noob for using legendaries, or if the build up for the league was "ruined". They only care about how the battle appealed to them.
 
I don't care about what kids feel about the series, I care about how I feel. And I feel like this was the biggest cop-out in the entire anime and a complete gamebreaker.
