Tales of Legendia

Tales of Legendia is supposed to be out now, but I'm not sure if I should get it
right away. I really enjoyed Tales of Symphonia a lot and thus wanted to look
at the rest of the Tales series.

I don't know too much about it, but I've heard a bunch of good things about it
as well as some negative things in the Japanese version. I know that they
cleaned up Tales of Symphonia before exporting to the North American market
and wonder if they did the same thing for Legendia.

I'm going to look for more opinions before getting this game though. Any thoughts?

The reviews Legendia is getting are favourable, though not entirely outstanding. 75% seems to be the general outcome - so it's a solid title, but nothing omg-spectacular. *nods* In terms of character development and plot (and music - ToL has an excellent score!) it beats out Symphonia, but whether the battle system and graphics are better is up to the player.

(but, I've heard the game is better if you *don't* spend a lot of time comparing it to other Tales titles, so... ;^^)

Personally, I'm holding off on it for the moment. As much as I want to support the Tales series in the US - with the hopes that we'll get some of the other games, such as Rebirth or Abyss - nothing about Legendia really catches my interest (besides the music, I mean XD). I have heard it was very emotional, though, which is nice. I like games that really make you feel for the characters... e-even if I don't really like the ToL characters that much. *laughs*

Hm... but I heard they removed the voice acting from one of the more-interesting NPCs, and that they also got rid of her quirky speech-pattern. Which makes me a little sad, because it removes a lot of the charm her character had...
