Does anyone else here enjoy the Redwall series? I think the author is great at story telling and description (his description of foods makes me drool), even if some of the words and things confuse me. But seeing as how I've never been in a castle or abbey, it's understandable. ^^;;

I have read Redwall (the original), Mossflower (the prequel) and Mattimeo (the sequel), though I'm not sure if I finished Mattimeo, it's been so long. There are many others, but none of them involve Matthias, his predecessor or his son. Well, there is one called Martin The Warrior, but I'm not sure what that's about.

I own every Redwall book up to Lord Brocktree.
Martin the Warrior is the first book that introduces Redwall's patriot. He's actually in three books and the first one is when he starts his heroic acts but not in Mossflower. Its pretty interesting actually, lots of travelling though.

I've got quite a few "Redwall" books as well.

As for "Martin The Warrior", that was published nearly ten years ago and has Martin and his friends fighting an evil stoat named Badrang, who enslaved many creatures including Martin. Martin has a sweetheart in this story, but sadly she is killed in the final battle.

I love that book series ^.^ But you shouldn't have told about Martin's girlfriend, because that spoils the ending... Of course, she never should have died. Martin should have had kids, and they could be warriers, and...*wanders off ranting*
