I was wondering why even the talk pages on Bulbapedia are locked from editing. I read the message (the one that displays when clicking "view source") and I understand that pages are protected because of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, but I don't understand why talk pages need to be protected as well. I haven't seen a message about the protection anywhere--I've checked the main page, twitter, Bulbanews, anything I could think of--but maybe I'm just missing it. I also have been checking the recent changes to make sure it wasn't just a fluke for me, but I've only been seeing admins making edits. That also made me notice that a lot of the edits that are being made aren't even about the new games, so I was kinda wondering if the protection was even necessary this early (but I'd understand if it is. I just maybe thought I could bring that to attention. I'm sure the admins know what they're doing). Even so, I thought that in the past (though I may be mistaken) even when a new game was about to come out, the talk pages were still open to editing so users could post edit requests for admins. I just wondered if there was a reason for the site-wide protection on the talk pages.
