Pokémon Masters EX is throwing down the gauntlet to trainers once more, with the Legendary Gauntlet returning until December 17th at 9:59pm (PST). Players finding themselves without the proper sync pairs to take on the Gauntlet will be able to take advantage of a new Scout launching alongside this event, featuring a variety of Sync Pairs suited to these particular challenges.

Epic Battle Event: Legendary Gauntlet No. 10
3 powerful opponents arrive in Pokémon Masters EX with the return of the Legendary Gauntlet. Functioning the same as past Legendary Gauntlets, players will use the sync pairs they have raised to battle through Tapu Bulu, Entei, and Moltres's Legendary Arena battles in succession.

As usual, Players can use as many sync pairs as needed to complete these stages and rack up as many wins as possible. Once a sync pair has been taken into battle, however, they can't be used again regardless of the battle's outcome. Players can earn a variety of rewards by hitting certain win streak milestones, including Battle Points, Move Candy Coins, Guaranteed Lucky Cookie 11 (teaching the Interference Immunity Lucky Skill), and 1★-3★ Deluxe Lucky Cookies. As is now standard for the Legendary Gauntlet, Special Titles have also been added to Prestige Rewards for this Epic Battle Event. The titles obtained from each Legendary Gauntlet will only be available for that specific gauntlet, and will not be able to be acquired in future events.
  • Tapu Bulu is weak to Flying-type moves while on its first and third HP bars, and weak to Poison-type moves while on its second. It activates the field effect of Grassy Terrain at the beginning of each HP bar and each time it uses its Sync Move; Grassy Terrain increases the power of Grass-type moves and restores HP when using a Grass-type move. Grassy Terrain can be countered by inflicting Poison or by using "interference" status conditions, such as flinching, confusion, or trapped, although Tapu Bulu will increase its resistance to the latter each time it recovers, until it becomes immune. Tapu Bulu last appeared in Legendary Gauntlet No. 3, held across August 2024.
  • Entei is weak to Water-type moves. Entei sets permanent field effects, such as Physical/Special Damage Reduction, during the fight. It will also raise its critical-hit rate which can't be lowered due to Steady Aim passive skill, and its attacks will always have secendary effects due to its Hostile Environment 10 and On a Roll 9 passive skills. Entei last appeared in Legendary Gauntlet No. 6, held in April of this year.
  • Moltres is weak to Rock-type moves while on its first and third HP bars, and weak to Water-type moves while on its second. All weather conditions remain in effect until replaced with different weather; Moltres also has a number of passive skills that activate during sunny weather, which it summons at the beginning of each HP bar and the halfway point of the second and third bars. Moltres can be flinched, but its resistance to flinching increases each time it recovers until it reaches 9. Moltres last appeared in Legendary Gauntlet No. 7, held in June of this year.
A Win Streak Leaderboard feature is also available to this event, allowing players to see how well they've done compared to other trainers. Players whose Best Score is within the top 10,000 spots at the end of the event will receive a special Title based on their final standings in the rankings. Final Ranking Results will only be announced after the event has concluded, from December 19th, at 10:00pm (PDT), and will remain available until December 26th, at 9:59pm (PST).

Players should also note the following when playing this event:
  • To participate, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
  • Area info completion data will not be carried over the next time this event returns.
  • The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those players can actually obtain.
  • It may take some time for rankings to be updated, meaning the in-game rankings may not reflect the most recent results.
  • Battles finished after the event period ends may not be reflected in the rankings.
