Hi,I really need help in training pokemons.I can't seems to get the highest stat possible for my pokemons.I did everything I know.I love to train pokemons from LV1.Usually I'll breed them in my diamond and trade it to my platinum so I can get the EXP boost.During LV 1,I'll usually do 2 things.

First, give them Pokerus. Then,I'll give them the vitamins till maximum for the stat that it's good at.

For example,I gave my Lonely Bagon the vitamins for Atk,Sp.Atk and Spd.Then I'll let it hold Power Bracer and train it until LV30 or smethg and giv it EXP-Share and fight the Elite 4 until it evolved into Salamence(where it can win a battle by itself). After it becomes Salamence,I once again give it Power Bracer. But still, none of my Salamences possess high stats.please teach me how can I train a powerful Pokemon!!

My Adamant Salamence

Atk 375
Def 177
Sp.Atk 259
Sp.Def 184
Spd 244

My Lonely Salamence

Atk 356
Def 166
Sp.Atk 278
Sp.Def 175
Spd 256

Please help!!!and can tell me how can I calculate my Pokemon's EV or IV??

Okay, first of all you usually want to calculate IVs before you start EV training. Otherwise, you need to remember or write down how many EVs you earned. I recommend using an IV calculator around level 50 for the most accurate results.

Each Pokémon has its own amount of EVs that it yields (check [bp=List of Pokémon by effort value yield]here[/bp] for more). If you have Pokérus or you Pokémon is holding Macho Brace, multiply the EVs that would normally be obtained by 2. If it has both, multiply it by 4. If it is holding a Power item, it will gain 4 in that particular stat, plus whatever EVs it'd normally get.

And don't train your Pokémon against others unless you have a lot of EV-reducing berries (at most 11 of each).

You can't calculate EV. You can always use EV-reducing berries to start over if you lost count. For calculating IVs, use an IV calculator. Just Google it since I'm sure there's a bunch of them.

oh,ok.hey, thanks,by the way!!i used the EV-reducing berries and suddenly my LV90 Tyranitar gained +10 atk when leveling up!!

Also, you probably want to finish the EV training before trying to fight the Elite Four.

For example, if you want to train a Salamence in Attack and Speed, give it the vitamins, Pokerus and the Atk. Power item (forgot it's name) and fight 42 Machops. Then give it the Sp. Power item and fight 42 Magikarps. Give it the Macho Brace and fight 1 or 2 Geodude (or Tentacool depending on what defensive stat you want to raise.)

Then go to Sunyshore city. In the little market where you buy the seals there's a lady who'll give your Pokemon a ribbon if it's finished it's EV training.

Once you obtain that ribbon then you can concentrate on evolving and leveling up your Pokemon and battling the Elite Four

(with the given EV spread, you'd have a physical sweeper Salamence by the way)
