Hello. I'm (once again) doing an UltraSun playthrough using leftover eggs as my teammates. The reason why I'm doing this instead of continuing my previous one is because that one got corrupted and I lost the data. So I had to start fresh. As such, after selecting my Starter (Litten this time) and doing all the early game stuff I'm now just before the "mandatory tutorial level" that is the Trainers' School (joy...). Because I selected a bunch of different eggs by their Poke Balls and just finished hatching all of them, but it gives me 8 total choices (well, 7 if we ignore my Starter). So, now, I want some feedback on which of these Mons would be best for the playthrough. They are as below (again, not counting Litten).

Rowlet (female, Overgrow, Naive, Egg Moves: Defog, Haze)
Bellsprout (female, Chlorophyll, Naive, Egg Moves: Power Whip)
Wimpod (male, Wimp Out, Jolly, Egg Moves: Spikes)
Jangmo-o (male, Bulletproof, Rash, no Egg Moves)
Pikipek (male, Skill Link, Rash, Egg Moves: Brave Bird)
Mimikyu (female, Disguise, Jolly, no Egg Moves)
Pichu (male, Static, Timid, no Egg Moves)

So, which of these Mons should I use for the playthrough? Wimpod, Jangmo-o, and Pichu are definite since I need a Water and Electric type and Jangmo-o becomes a powerful Dragon/Fighting type (the latter type is also useful). But that leaves the other four. I'm leaning toward Rowlet as my Grass type because of Haze being able to completely shut down the Totem Auras (and the one Necrozma has that makes it so infamous), but Bellsprout would be an interesting pick, too, since it's not native to the dex (plus there's the fact that Sleep Powder is a tool in its arsenal). But then that leaves Mimikyu possibly overlapping with Decidueye's Ghost typing. While Pikipek will possibly tack on an extra Rock weakness and since you battle Olivia twice that might be a hinderance (on the flip side, Skill Link Bullet Seeds can make short work of her Rock types, even ones with Sturdy like Probopass). But I'm open to suggestions. Which ones should I choose? Thanks in advance.

So, here is my opinion:
Litten should stay on the Team as your Starter. Plus, its final form is fantastic. Wimpod, Jangmo-o, and Pichu are great. Mimikyu and Rowlet are both very good. This is the Team I would build in that situation. The only really bad (more than 3 Members weak) situations are Flying and Ghost, which you will only majorly have to deal with in the Elite Four.

I think this Team could carry the game much better than Pikipek and Bellsprout. Just my two cents.

Litten should stay as your starter. Although I personally go Popplio all the way, Litten is still a very good Pokémon. Incineroar's good bulk and strong offense comes in handy. Just make sure to teach Incineroar Fire Punch as soon as possible at one of the beach move tutors because it's gonna be a long road to Flare Blitz.

Looking at your eggs, Wimpod and Jangmo-o are pretty good, they might be tough to raise that early in the game because of their poor stats or movepool. Jangmo-o only gets Dragon Tail for STAB by level up. While that Pichu is very good, it might be difficult to raise it because Pikachu only gets Thunderbolt at level 42 and its poor stats might make it hard to reach that level.

Rowlet is definitely good. Use Haze to negate totem auras. Bellsprout can be good if you want a good Poison type attacker. However, be wary about the level you evoke your Weepinbell at. Since at level 32, Victreebel gets Leaf Storm and level 44 gets Leaf Blade. If you're worried about Poison type attacks. You can buy the Venoshock TM and you can easily find the Sludge Bomb TM.

Pikipek is pretty good, especially with Skill Link, but it might be a little lacking as a Toucannon because outside of its attack, it doesn't have the best stats. Mimikyu can also be quite solid. Disguise is a good safety net that affords it essentially a free turn. It will especially be handy against Ultra Necrozma.
