Hello, everyone! :)

Ever since the 2BA Master album got released, the "Double Trouble" song performed by Team Rocket was my favorite piece of the show-related non-Japanese music. It combined the usual Team Rocket nonsense with some pretty awesome instrumental and catchy lyrics, making it stand out among the other tracks, at least for me.

That's why I've always wanted to hear this song in my native language, which happens to be Ukrainian. Alas, back in the 90s and early 2000s, we weren't really dubbing this kind of media in Ukrainian, being fresh out of the Soviet Union and still maintaining a very close connection to Russia, which resulted in a very interesting development: the Russian language version of the first couple of Pokémon seasons was produced in Kyiv, Ukraine, and was voiced by our voice actors and actresses. Go figure, eh? :D

When the times changed years later, it was decided that a full dub would no longer be financially successful, seeing how it was some 10 years since the first season's release, and the Ukrainian version that came out was voiced by a small team of people in a voice over format, keeping all the songs in English.

But during all these years, I kept trying and trying to find a way to make this little weird dream of mine come true. Decades of search and effort finally paid off when I managed to get all the necessary components and equipment. Then, I translated the English lyrics, found people willing to participate, hired a studio and recorded the song (albeit a somewhat shortened version of it) in my language, voicing James and doing some backing vocals.

Thus, I present to you the result of our work below, and I hope you enjoy it, or, at the very least, find it curious.

Perhaps, one day I will be able to record the full 4 minute version.
Who cares? Why do it now, ages later? What's the point? Who's gonna watch it?
I don't know. It doesn't matter much, I suppose. Some might view this as a waste of time, energy and money. But hey, I love Pokémon, I love Team Rocket, and I can do it, so... why not? :D

Thank you all for reading (and watching / listening), and have a wonderful day!

Best wishes,
Andrew.
