Team Rocket..........still entertaining or annoying?

Ok honestly i've seen every pokemon episode from beginning to end (cause i've been watching it for like 8 years now), and I love all the seasons, but the thing I don't like about the new ones is mainly Team Rocket. Now it's kinda being overused doing the same thing over and over again. I really hope when generation 5 comes along they will go away. Honestly I would like any of the following to happen:

1. They are able to steal someone's pokemon a distance away from the trainers and they realise they should leave Ash alone then they win for once and go away. Then either the bad guys will be a little different, no evil team attacking them, Team Galactic/Team Magma/Team Aqua chases them instead, or Butch and Cassidy

2. They actually invent something unbeatable and actually win

3. they catch a really strong pokemon by luck and actually kicks butt.

idk something. It's just like hearing the same knock knock joke every day for 10 years. It really gets boring by then.
 
Team Rocket=Annoying

Rocket-Dan=Awesome


But unfortunately nothing is going to change. PCI isn't going to magically start dubbing them better. They seem content to make the TRio bland generic Saturday morning cartoon villains.

And I know the Rockets never succeed as villains, but the writers do let them succeed when they play fairly, (Contests being the main example) and I really wouldn't have it any other way. This is probably as strong successful as they're going to get.
 
TR have the best character development on the show right now. Sure, they'll always try to capture other trainers' pokemon, and even the twerps', but that is just what they do. Sometimes, TR does come up with something truly epic, but it ends up blowing up in their face anyway. They even managed to get that Yanma, which is currently Jessie's Yanmega. James has more than once shown skills that could make him successful in other things, even being a decent trainer. Jessie is an excellent coordinator, but we don't know if she will ever do that again. However, within that, she's still the same vain woman we've always known her to be. I honestly don't think there's anything that can keep Jessie from being demented anymore, though. I wonder where it is they can possibly go from here. We've had Jessie have a rivalry with the female lead for almost an entire decade now. There's still hope, although we don't know what B/W's side quest is. Even Meowth has had a chance to shine in a way that I never thought possible. TR? Boring? Perish the thought.
 
I'm only going by what I've seen of the subs here; They've definately seen better days, but, they've aged a lot more gracefully than 99% of the rest of the main cast, who've all lost their mojo thanks to so-called 'development' at one point or another. The three of them are certainly capable of being entertaining when push comes to shove, and as a collective, they're still the best when it comes to yakking with one another in and out of their focus episodes.
 
They are better than they were in Johto... I'm rewatching Johto right now and I want to kill them, stangle them, burn them alive, that's how annoying they are. In DP, they're actually great, especially because of Jessie's contests but it's true that Meowth and James could stand to get something more.
 
They used to be entertaining, but now it's just ridiculous. They need to stop chasing these guys & focus on other things ('Jessilina's contests & what-not). Honestly.

Well in my opinion theure shinenigans have been repeated so many times thats its annoying i really dont like seeing them in the show anymore.
 
I effing LOVE Team Rocket. They'll never get old rofl. Never. xD
 
Entertaining when they are not doing repeated "steal the Pikachu with a mecha" plot(well ok, I still like some of these but w/e).
 
Team Rocket should be cut completely away. They're an insult to Rocket-dan :(

TR's entertaining, alright. Even when they're all "we still Pikachu nao kthnx". They have their better days and their worse days, but all in all, they're one of the best parts of the show. If not the only good part left.
 
TR is one of the best things which remained in the show. They are still funny for me.
 
Honestly? My opinion of the trio is basically numb. I don't care if they stay nor do I care if they leave. If that's what the direction of are they entertaining or annoying was heading

Yes they have their moments here and there, but for the most part...eh. I mean I do dislike it when they are responsible for most of what happens, evolutions and stuff. And sometimes it's really annoying to see them capture the gang's Pokemon (which should be done once every other month).

But as someone said, they are responsible for most of the "twerps" Pokemon battles and experience. In which case, if they have to attempt to steal the group's Pokemon. Could I don't know maybe they use OTHER POKEMON than the ones they have out. It gets tiresome to see Pikachu blast Team Rocket off for the thousandth time, when a Pokemon like Gible, or other neglected Pokemon need the "experience" a lot more.

But if they are here to stay just like Ash, then maybe they should do something. I want their "standalone" episodes to have something leading them up to it. I kind of dislike when the trio gets an episode plopped around something crucial like a known evolution, or possibly a gym that would better benefit having more than a single episode, if there was a better indication of them getting a focus episode, then I'd probably be fine with it, but not when it comes out of the blue like most of the episode. I don't mind if they get one after something important happens, but like I said I dislike it when they get an episode close to something important; if only because it seems like Team Rocket is taking away some crucial development.

Now I don't mean to say that Team Rocket is unimportant. But consider this. Would you rather have a fleshed out important evolution, maybe even involving the new antagonist (like Team Yin, or Team Yang), or possibly a rival? Or do you want some episode where Team Rocket spend 22 minutes trying to figure out what they want to do with their, but then end up doing the same thing they usually do at the end?

The exception of course is if Team Rocket gets new Pokemon, evolutions, or maybe even a contest where Jessie wins. But I mean in general, the general layout of a Team Rocket Episode. Those type of episodes seem to benefit a lot more after an important event episode. because then Team Rocket won't get blamed for the lack of focus on the important event.
 
As annoying and repetitive as they are and have been for many many years, i like how much back-story they've each been given at one point or another. IMO, TR by far has the most character insight in the whole saga. I actually care about James' reasons for being who he is, i understand why Meowth talks and has (sometimes) pushing-it Boss fantasies, and i've been shown that Jessi isn't 100% hollow in that huge hairdo of hers lol. As much as i'd like them to actually win at being bad, i like them how they are :p
 
What the hell would happen to Pokemon if Team Rocket (Roketto-Dan, whatever) were to leave? o_o;

What would you guys do, honestly? That would SUCK. It would be wayyyy too different. Way too much change for me. x.o;;
 
To me, the Team Rocket trio is entertaining, but they can also be annoying because of their tendency to show up wherever Ash goes (even though it's been in almost every episode, and I'm used to it).

I feel like they've fallen a bit flat. They're doing the same jokes, the same interaction and the same chemistry as season 1. I think it's times to spice things up a little.

New human addition to the team would be fun
 
I'll put it this way: I like 'em, but I wouldn't be upset if they got replaced the very next day.

I feel the same way about all the characters on the show.

I really, really hate it. It was best in the originals, bearable in AG, but horrible now. When they had that episode when they "went back to the basics" I almost cried out of happiness when they did their original motto. It would be amazing if they changed it back in the originals in the new season.

Other than that, their newer voices get annoying too. Especially James. I hate how they made him try to talk all "fancy" and rhyme awkwardly. The other two are ok, but overall they have gotten much worse. They were in their peak in Jhoto.
