Team Rocket’s Ambition: The Great Puzzle Challenge—Solve mysteries on the event website to obtain a serial code for 24 Pack Hourglasses in TCG Pocket

To celebrate the release of Pokémon TCG Pocket's newest themed booster pack, Team Rocket’s Ambition, a special event is now underway on Pokémon TCG Pocket's official website. Team Rocket’s Ambition: The Great Puzzle Challenge is running from August 27th until September 30th, and requires players to solve a series of complex puzzles on the event website to obtain a special code that can be redeemed for a set of 24× Pack Hourglasses.

The challenge consists of multiple puzzles across different levels: two Poké Ball Level, three Great Ball level, and one Ultra Ball level puzzles, along with two secret Master Ball level puzzle available to the ones who successfully complete all the rest. Read on for a summary of the puzzles and their answers, but be warned of spoilers:

Spoiler: Great Ball Level: Puzzle 1 Each fraction points to a letter in that Pokémon's name. When you combine the letters, which four-letter Pokémon name is revealed? Spoiler: Hint The first card, Slugma, has a rarity of ♦. Below it, is a ♦♦♦♦♦♦ denominator.Think of this fraction as “1 out of 6” and pick out the first letter of Slugma’s six-letter name to get the letter S. Spoiler: Great Ball Level: Puzzle 2 Cover up all the Sandshrew by catching them with four Poké Balls. Spoiler: Hint Is there a way you can bring four Poké Balls from somewhere? Spoiler: Answer Aron

Spoiler: Great Ball Level: Puzzle 3 In the grid of cards below, start from Team Rocket's Tinkaton and knock out Pokemon to move left, right, up, and down. Check the HP of the Pokemon adjacent to where you start (left, right, above, and below) and then determine if your current Pokémon can get a Knock Out with their attack. Damage increases if the opposing Pokémon has a weakness to your type. All other effects should be ignored. Move to the Pokémon that was Knocked Out, then click (or tap) and hold on the previous Pokémon to flip it over. Repeat this process until the Team Rocket logo appears on the back of a card. Read the words along the path you created and carry out those instructions. Spoiler: Hint Remember, you only need to pay attention to a Pokémon’s Weakness and attack damage—ignore all other effects. From the sixteen Pokémon cards below, find all the ones whose types differ from these five Pokémon. Read their backs from top to bottom. After completing the challenge till the Ultra Ball Level, players will obtain a unique code for 24 Pack Hourglasses (the website erroneously mentions two hourglasses instead of 24). This code can be redeemed on TCG Pocket's Gift Code website from Wednesday, August 26th at 8:00am (PDT) to Monday, November 30th, at 6:59am (PST). The gift is limited to one use per account. Rewards are limited, and the exchange period is subject to end without prior notice if the limit is reached.
