• Hiya, everyone --

Recently we've been noticing there have been a few stories here and there that have been posted without content warnings. As a reminder, we ask that every work published in our Workshop contain content warnings, even if none apply (in which case, you can just mention that no content warnings apply). You can refer to a helpful guide on how to rate your stories here, but if you need any further assistance, please feel welcome to contact a Workshop staff member! We're here to help.

Thank you all for helping us ensure our community is a safe and healthy one, and for your continued patronage in our Library and Workshop.

Once, the world had been beautiful, a place of luxury for all who breathed it's air. Pokemon and humankind alike had lived as brother and sister, never seen by one or another as food or tools or pets, on either side. This peace had been in existence for several centuries, and everyone assumed it would continue for several more. That is, until one unfortunate event had passed. A sickness had spread throughout humankind, leaving their forms unable to be stable on their own and soon, most had died or became one with the earth as plant matter soil or rocks, ridiculously enough, but, others had accidentally merged with their Pokemon bretheren, becoming an odd mish-mash of sorts, but, once these people became one with only a single Pokemon, they had become stable and unable to merge again. They took on the qualities of these Pokemon, and had became a new race, one without a name, though, they just would simply call themselves people, freaks, or some ridiculous term that never caught on. Several generations had passed, and these people soon grew used to the change after some chaos, say, three hundred years of it. But that's normal, right? Right? Who knows.

Because of this chaos, technology had fallen back, but not as far back as one would think. Electricity is a thing, still, but it is something few and far between for most of the world. Throughout the years, cities fell to ruin, rightfully taken back by nature, ironically which, was sped up by those who built the cities, ones who were unable to merge with the long dead race of creatures, and wilderness took over the world once more, outside of the People's settlements. The People had taken to living in small village clusters throughout the world, the only thing stopping them being the oceans, and not even then for those able to safely live in water.

Over the years, crime had skyrocketed, unfortunately, with no official law forces to keep it down. However, they had began to set something up. Once one would reach the age of about sixteen, their community asks of each of them to consider joining the League.

The League is an organization created to not only to stop crime, but to explore lands that became unchartered once more, and it has several other branches, those of science, and many more.

Your Person is a youth who has came of age, around the ages of 16-20 who has considered joining the League, to enlist in one of the branches. I will go into detail of these branches shortly, as well as sign-ups, when I can actually have access to a computer. I'll have sign-ups and rules, and all of that good stuff up as well, also setting stuff, sorry for the inconvienence
