So I travel a lot for work, and being in hotel rooms for nearly the whole day, I always have the TV on...Usually my channels stay locked at Cartoon Network and CNN. Needless to say, I know the line up of current Cartoon Network shows pretty well. lol.

Anyway, I've been loving the humor of Teen Titans Go! It's pretty silly and no real plot, but the individual episodes are pretty funny. (even for a 27 year old man) Anyone else loving this show? I do wish there were more continuity between eps, but it's a light hearted fun show!

Cyborg ftw btw

That's what I like about the show actually, that it's all light hearted fun.

I really enjoyed "Dude Relax", "Hey Pizza!", "Girl's Night Out", "Super Robin", and "Colors of Raven" to name a few. It's a nice change of pace from anything plot-centric I watch.

I am biased on the show. Some of the humor is pretty crude in episodes like "Boys vs Girls." Though, I do not hate the show. It is better than many shows in Cartoon Network.
I think it has too much publicity, but it is an okay show for children. The humor can get good at times, I see why it has fans.

Animation:
The animation is fair, it doesn't use too much gross out humor, and the characters run pretty smooth.
7/10

Plot:
It has better plot than some shows. (I'm looking at you, uncle grandpa.)
The plot is mostly episodic and there is little story. The ideas for most episodes are fairly bland. Though the plot can get very good on the better episodes. I didn't care for the plot much when I watched it
6/10

Characters:
Ech. This is where it goes bad..
The characters are mostly flat, the only one who had any good comedic lines was Raven. Most the characters were made to follow a specific trait. Robin has an Ego. Beast Boy is lazy ETC.
Most the characters don't have much of a personality.
4/10

Humor:
The humor is alright. A couple episodes made me grin if there was a good reference or joke. I hate any of the jokes that are based around something gross. Starfire has a pimple... Robin has a handsome face... The good humor makes the show worth watching if you're into comedy.
9/10

I give the show a 7/10 all out, but I don't reccomend it to people who like strong, serious plots

I love this show a lot more than the original Teen Titans. =) I mean, I loved the original, but c'mon, it's nice to know it doesn't take itself massively seriously with a show like this. It's just fun, plain and simple. Fun. It's a nice throwback to an era where plot didn't mean anything and it was just there to make us laugh. I like that. Raven has always been my favorite, even in the original. I love her because despite her brooding character, she is always the one to make me laugh with her quips!

"Some of the humor is pretty crude in episodes like "Boys vs Girls.""

^^^ Yeah, I will admit that episode was cringeworthy, but I'm not going to dismiss a show like this just for one bad apple. I just skip it whenever it comes on. =)

I need a time machine to take me back to 2002. When the GOOD series existed.

WARNING: RANT AHEAD!
As Scar from The Lion King once said...

Can you legitimately look at me straight in the eye and say "Waffles", "The Return of Slade", "Boys vs. Girls", "Video Game References", and "Leg Day" could truly be considered anything even remotely close to "funny", or "hilarious"? IMO, Star and the Forces of Evil does everything this show doesn't, which is "actually be entertaining".
Also, I cannot believe CN had the AUDACITY to claim this was "your new favorite show" despite all the negativity thrown, no, LAUNCHED at it.
This show is just a disservice to people like me who liked Young Justice and Green Lantern the Animated Series, both of which were awesome shows that were cancelled to make room for this dreck.
I am done now, carry on.

MOD NOTE: I'm just going to leave a quick note here saying it's fine to say why you prefer the older series, but provide good reason beyond the fact it's simply good. This thread is about Teen Titans Go; not it's predecessor so do not insult the people who watch Go, or post to complain how much this show sucks. This is not what the thread is for. If you wish to critique certain episodes do it in a constructive manner.

I really love so hard this new animation! My favourite is Raven! x3

I really love this show! Its light hearted and funny. It doesn't need to have a serious plot that carries across the season because it's just for fun.

I think my favorite episode so far is "Video Game References". Cyborg and Beast Boys section of this episode made me cry with laughter!

Edit: Also I'm really enjoying seeing everyone's voice actors on in the commercials. :)

I usually don't watch TV very much, but Teen Titans Go! is one of the few shows I actually watch when I don't have anything to do. That alone is a huge acomplishment I'd say. And I didn't even watch the original series before or anything. It's just really funny.

I don't like this show at all, to put it bluntly. Four out of the five main characters are jerks who act like 4 year olds (contrary to the name), the plots are annoying (like that one episode that revolved around the word waffles being said over 100 times, and I am not even exaggerating), and the show has done blatant rating traps (Return of Slade) and sexist morals (Boys vs. Girls) that Family Guy wouldn't use. Mr. Enter was right on the money when he called this show Toddler Titans.

Except Teen Titans premiered in 2003.

Anyway, I came here to say practically the same things Paul said. Teen Titans Go is unfunny, solely existing to appeal to the "LOL SO RANDUMB XDDD" crowd who don't know what true humor is. Throwing mindless jokes at people at a hundred miles an hour, like this show does, isn't going to make them laugh. What will make them laugh is humor that, while it may not be very blatant, is well thought-out and done in a fashion that makes it believable. This is why I love Seinfeld so much. [sigh] If only every show was Seinfeld...

The show is ok. It is trying to appeal to a new generation that is completely different from the people that watched the original. I personally think the old show is better but I get what CN is doing. The old show was targeted at a older audience because of the tone. And gradually CN has been shifting to a younger audience scince the sudden cancelation of the old show. That is all I have to say on the matter.

I don't really like this series that much. I get that the series was dumbed down, because they want to target a younger audience, thus explaining the dumb and gross humor. What I don't like though is how they did this with the characters. They've taken the complexity of the characters and thrown it out the window, to simplify them and focus kinda on a specific trait or two. They turned them into stereotypes kinda. Its kinda like how Beast Boy is just lazy and goofy, or how Robin just has a huge ego and needs to be dominant. Or even how Starfire's primary trait seems to be how she's so naive about the Earth and its customs. The complexity of their original series counterparts just isn't there and it just turns me away from the show.

I think the series works as a parody of Teen Titans, the characters have exaggerated personalities and tend to act opposite of real heroes. But beyond that there's nothing to really enjoy about it.

If it's a parody, it's a rather shallow one considering all the jabs against fans of the original series.

I love this show. It comes on after I get home from school and I always watch it. I don't really understand all the hate it gets, then again I haven't seen the original series. I find the humour in this show funny, and I love how it doesn't really take it self seriously. It's probably one of the only DC cartoons that I really enjoy, which is a huge deal in my books since I'm more of a Marvel fan. The character Raven is another reason I love this show. She is just so badass.
