I'd like to note before-hand that this rpg has some elements of a pokemon game that I posted about on pokemon community. It's not a rip-off since I'm the author of both. I even use the same screen name. This post is also a lot more detailed from the short plot I posted in the RPG thread, so it's going to look a lot different at first.
Description: The pokemon world is in trouble again. It seems the line to try to rule the world is forever long. This time, though, it's going to take a lot more than one protagonist to save the pokemon world, because whoever's doing it has his hands in a lot of cookie jars, so to speak.
The pokemon world has been hit with a new strain of pokerus, only this one is far from helpful. The new strain has the same effects on pokemon as the Poison status does, only it effects all pokemon, even wild ones, and is so contagious that only a few minutes of exposure can infect a pokemon with it. While a pokemon CAN be healed at a pokemon center to full health after being infected, the pokeflu (what the new virus is being called) doesn't go away and will evenually wittle the pokemon's health down again. The virus has spread all across the pokemon world in record time, with only a few remaining uninfected do to isolation. It won't remain that way for long though, because even people can carry the virus (they only suffer mild effects though). The worst part is, it was man-made, but nobody knows that part yet. So who made this atrocity?
Well, that's up to the players to find out. But upon their arrival in Pallet Town, they find out why. Each player has been teleported from their respective normal lives to the pokemon world, and the good Professor Oak knows that the only pokemon capable of doing something like that is Palkia, Master of Space, and that the only reason Palkia would do something like that is if it was in grave danger and wasn't capable of returning to his own dimension to escape it. Some human must be behind it. The players must travel to Sinnoh to find the man and stop him to get back home...or not.
Sign up here if you want to play. More plots to follow for players who want to stick around in the pokemon world.
Notes: in case the pokedex is mentioned at any point, both Nidoran have the same pokedex number now. I see no reason to keep them seperate. Since the only way pokemon develop is through evolving (i'm not talkin about getting bigger, i mean stuff like changing shape) it follows that Kangaskhan should have a baby-type since there's no way "small and purple" becomes "huge and brown" without evolving in the pokemon world. Kangaskhan's baby form is Ghengy (Ghengis+Joey, a baby kangaroo, named in the same fashion as Kangaskhan, kangaroo+Ghengis Khan). It evolves through friendship.
New regions and new pokemon aren't allowed unless they are fully developed and their use is unanimously agreed upon.
