Hi all! I've been thinking about my beloved favorite little guy, Spriggy, tonight.

Whenever I need comfort, or I'm happy, or anything of the sort, I'll reach out to him and cuddle him for a while. It brings me great joy and comfort and it's been a grounding force in my often chaotic life.

Anyway, it got me wondering; do any of you guys have a comfort item? It can be anything; a plush, a book, a piece of clothing, a game system, a perfume... as long as it makes you happy to have or use, it counts! I'd love other neurodivergent users' input on this in particular. Let's celebrate the small things we love in our lives! ^^

What a great topic!!! Omg!! I’m glad you and Spriggy have each other!! ;w;

Back when I had a desk I had a whole little tray just dedicated to a bunch of little guys that mean a lot to me. Various trinkets and pieces of jewelry and stuffed animals and figures that have been with me through a lot. I don’t think I have any photos of them, but when I get them back (they’re currently across the country) I’ll try to revisit this thread. A great number of plushes as well!

I used to have an enormous reflective blue marble that I carried with me everywhere as well but I think it was lost, unfortunately.

My favorite bag, my favorite black lipstain, my favorite denim jacket, a small gay flagging clip that I always have attached to my jacket, and my favorite centipede necklace were all things that got me through a lot back when I had a more regular and established routine that involved being out and about. I had all of these with me at basically all times no matter what.

oh I'd love to see your guys when you get them back... shame about the marble though. I've lost so many trinkets to time myself and it's always kind of a bummer. time goes on though, and nothing is eternal, so I try to let go when I can

...that being said if I lost Spriggy I would be inconsolable though lmao. whenever I take him out I always make absolutely sure I didn't forget him anywhere

this is kinda corny and very gay, but my partners screen name is plague so i bought myself a little plague doctor plushie to cuddle at night a couple years back since we're long distance. now it's gotten to a point where i can't fall asleep at night without it haha, probably my main "comfort item" rn. that and my little Steven Stone plush that i keep in my bag as it brings me comfort to have my favorite character with me wherever i go in case i get anxious about something he's there to support me.

okay now that I'm more rested I can respond to this efldkhedjmlfqdlde

I totally get your comfort items!!! I had a friend make plushies of me and my girlfriend of four years (at the time) since we live on different continents. It was nice to have a piece of her with me, hehe

I also have a Uika plush (the girl in my profile picture) that I take out with me when I don't take Spriggy. Having your favorite character with you is really nice somehow...

This thread is so heartwarming, I love all the responses :bulbaLove:
My recent comfort item is probably my pokewalker. I started a pokewalker challenge run last year where my starter, Wish the totodile, went right into the pokewalker, and I made my team with pokemon from the pokewalker routes. I have brought Wish everywhere with me since, he got to level 100 a while ago, all from walking with me! I love him

I have an old and beat-up Sonic the Hedgehog plushie that I keep on my bed. I've had it since I was a teenager and I cannot sleep without it!
This one is kind of a weird one but something else that I have is the "New rule: never trust how you feel about your life past 9pm" Super Sonic image printed out and pinned to my wall LOL.

You’re a damn genius for this tbh

Right now it’s my gray bunny plushie, she’s hugging a smaller white bunny plushie so when i hug them it’s a triple hug! Their names are Heather and Cotton respectively!

All my plushies. All of them.

They include (but not all):
A Teddiursa Squishmallow.
A Silver Charmander
Magdalena (Squishmallow)
Carpio (I think that's what he's called, Squishmallow)
Buzzy The Buzzard (ty franchise),
Leafeon and Sylveon Plushies (Leafeon is by a fan and can't find who made it, Sylveon is official)
Mitch (Squishmallow)
Elliene (squishmallow)

Lately the some of the things that are helping me feel more at peace are burning incense, looking at my lava lamp (when it's turned on) and the birds visiting my bird feeder for a quick bite. So mostly feeling comfort when I'm using these items instead of only their presence. The lava lamp also consumes quite a bit of energy so I don't turn it on very often. Listening to music and cycling are the most comforting activities for me, but they are more involved despite requiring equipment. I dunno if my CDs/mp3 files and my bike would count as comfort items ¯\ (ツ) /¯
