That link option...

Just a curiosity that I fail to understand - the link option when I go to my User CP. My partner and I thought it was a thing for linking your account with someone else who you were really close to, but then when I clicked on my username at the top there there, it gave me the option to switch to their account.

I'm presuming we did it wrong? Is the way we've decided to utilise the feature breaking any rules or incorrect in any respect?

The link option is used to merge with another account~ which, gives you a more quicker way to switch from profile to profile, so, no, you're not breaking the rules~ lol...

However, I am presuming it's more designed and geared towards people with more than one accound rather than two people who are just really close?

So basically you both have access to each other's accounts.

Generally linked accounts are used for sockpuppets used for the Halloween party thread. Outside of that (and maybe a couple others) sockpuppets shouldn't be used.

Any two accounts can be linked. I'm saying the purpose is for a user to link multiple accounts that they own. Such as Halloween sockpuppet accounts.
