The 2nd Hunger Games

In the Year 2012 Pokémon rebelled against humans. Mankind, with their superior technology, vanquished their elemental cousins and separated them into Twelve Districts so that they wouldn't rebel again. In addition they created the Hunger Games, where two Pokémon from each District were picked and they would all fight to the death. The 1st Hunger Games have already been a massive success and now the second ones are being held.

Terrain:

The Terrain for this year is Desert. Like last time there are six areas.

Area A: The Cornucopia. All the tributes start here, on a circle of metal discs equidistant from the Cornucopia, a giant metal horn filled with useful items. The setting is on a sand dune.

Area B: The Desert. The Desert lies just North of the Cornucopia. Besides a few shrubs this is a vaste wasteland with very little prey.

Area C: The Outcrop: High rocky cliffs cut off the desert and are directly East of the Cornucopia There is some prey here along with nesting birds. Plant life is minimal.

Area D: The Savanna: This area is South-East of the Cornucopia. It is an area dominated by grass. Prey is most plentiful here as are plants. Small trees dot the area. There is a small stream running through here.

Area E: The Oasis: A smal lake attracts wildlife from all around. This is the only large supply of fresh water in the games. This area is South-West of the Cornucopia.

Area F: The Salt Lake: A dried up salt lake lies in this area West of the Cornucopia. The area is mostly devoid of sand and very rocky. There are small pools of salt water.

BlazeMaster is in control of Areas A and D

Leavanny is in control of Areas B and E

SquadalaGuy is in control of Areas C and F

This first part of the RP is public. However, once you leave Area A (or you are the last in it (or in the last group in it)) everything is private. Unless you encounter someone you get one post per 12 hours. In those 12 hours you can move area once to an area adjacent to you (including the Cornucopia)

For your first post the Character Count is at a minimum of 200. After that it goes down to 100 (not including spaces)

At the Cornucopia there are:

50 Energy Bars
30 TMs (I decide what they are, just say that you picked one up)
20 1/2 litre bottles
10 Coils of Rope
10 Loaves of Bread
10 Cans of meat
10 Backpacks with varying contents (again, I tell you what they are)
8 Sleeping Bags.
5 BM-Inducers (gives a Pokémon one BM of your choice)
5 2 litre bottles
2 Tents
1 Dream Inducer (Gives a Pokémon their Dream World ability)

Tusk, Crunch and Fisher are approaching the Cornucopia as a pack. They are prepared to work with anyone from District 1, 2 and 4
Spidey, Clicker, Cheryl, Scratch and Sniffer are also approaching the Cornucopia.

In the Cornucopia if you want an item you do 2 posts. The first is to get an item, the second is you fleeing the Cornucopia. You have to wait 6 hours (or until another person has posted) before you do your second post.

OOC: This writing represents Lee This colour represents Hearth.

Lee's plate started to vibrate as he moved his way up to the Cornucopia . Bright sunlight shone into his eyes as he came up over the lip. Shielding his eyes from the Sun, he looked around. He was in a desert, full of brown-yellow sand. Before him was the shining Cornucopia, with items scattered around. The sixty second countdown had begun and soon they would be able to step of their pedestals and kill each other. He gave a nod to Crunch, his nearest Career. They had agreed to do what the Careers did every year and take the Corncopia, destroying any opposition. A horn sounded. The Hunger Games had begun. Lee jumped off his platform and made a sprint to the Cornucopia, picking up items in his way.
 
He ticked.

He also tocked.

This was a rare occurrence for him, making a sound. Normally, his mechanism was smooth. Nervousness had its toll on his whirring, however, as he was whirring in overdrive. He needed the energy for this game, so he continued to whir onward. His energy levels rose up, higher and higher. Finally, he was at the ready. His bottom gear re-positioned itself, becoming horizontal and right below the top. He took this chance to listen to the countdown.

"10, 9, 8, 7..."

His mind also whirred in overdrive.

what am i supposed to do, am i really supposed to kill everyone else here, is this what they expect of me, i must do my job, i must kill everybody else, no matter what it takes, then my district will be proud

"... 4, 3, 2, 1!"

The horn tooted, and most of the contestants sprinted to the cornucopia. 5 seconds passed, and Gachigachi finally released his hold over the bottom gear. It zoomed out, quicker than the eye could see. It was a whirling shuriken of death, headed towards the nearest contestant. It flew. Closer, closer, closer. And... it missed entirely. It crashed into the pile of items, and destroyed a good few of them. Gachigachi was dismayed that he had messed up so bad this soon in the first game. But he would make up for it. Somehow. His bottom gear stopped rotating, and flew back to join the other one. But, a backpack was stuck on it. This was pretty lucky, but how was he going to carry it without tearing it in shreds? He couldn't risk rotating, he decided. Already, his energy was dropping. He had to get away, and fast. The other Pokemon were already noticing him, some of them shooting attacks at him. He floated away, as quickly as he could.

When he finally began to pay attention to his surroundings, he could see that he was at the bottom of a gigantic cliff. He he was awed, and drew back a bit. He put the backpack down and, now thoroughly exhausted, began to whir, as quietly as he could. He didn't think anyone followed him, but he couldn't be sure. After his energy was back up, he delicately attempted to open the zipper of the backpack. His gears closed in on the zipper, and he whirred. It tore off. Whoops. But at least he could see inside of it.

Okay, he's in Area C: The Outcrop now. I'm not sure if I did this right, this is my very first RP post here, and I'm not sure what's expected of me.
 
Sarlaac went towards to where Garagahic (sorry, im bad at spelling) is in The Outcrops. Eariler we found TM Rock Tomb and a sleeping bag. But unforturnly, we found a magnet, but not gears. Magnenite. It was a toughie, but Sarlaac killed it and found some materials: "gunpowder" and metallic flint. We then find some driftwood and some cracked Sandile eggs. But Sarlaac looks tired enough, but he's feeling fine. We reached our denstination: Area C.
 
NOTE: Maria is represented by this color while Splash is this one.

Maria has set toward the Oasis, with 5 energy bars, a bread loaf, two cans of meat, 2 half-liter bottles, a tent, and a TM. She heard the horn two hours earlier; the Games were on.

Splash left, grabbing a sleeping bag, a loaf of bread, and a backpack with stuff in it towards the Desert. He was going to kill Maria if he lived. If not, Maria would kill the other.

Sparks waited patiently for the horn to sound the start of the games, occasionally looking over at Hearth. It was a shame to have to kill someone from his district, but it had to be done. The horn sounded and everyone but sparks flew off their pedastals. Some ran towards the Oasis, some to the Cliffs and rocks. Sparks spotted a backpack that had been droppped, and dashed for it, weaving as he did. He grabbed it and threw it over his back, before noticing a Bottle on the floor. He grabbed that and ran towards the savanna, avoiding incoming attacks.

**AREA D**
 
60: Hearth stood on the plate, waiting for the Hunger Games to start. Around her the desert stretched for miles. 48: The Pokémon around her looked scared, arrogant, or simply dazed. She hoped that she could win. 22: She looked at the display above her, she only had another twenty seconds left. Soon the ten second countdown began. 5...4...3...2...1.

The Hunger Games had started and a claxon went off. Hearth started to run towards the Oasis when she saw a Sewaddle struggling away from the Cornucopia, struggling to carry all of her items. Sewaddle were Bug-Grass Pokémon and very weak against Fire Types like Hearth, especially with the powerful Sun boosting her attacks. She curled up into a ball, coated herself in flame and flew towards the Sewaddle.
 
Maria bowled over, and responded with String Shot. All she wanted was to go to the Oasis, and a Vulpix sidetracked her. She had almost verified the Vulpix as an idiot, but then, she used a quick succession Bug Bite!

Meanwhile, Splash carried his belongings easily- until he saw easy prey. He saw a Riolu- easy catch- and quickly Tackled it.

Maria was busy fleeing. The added speed boost from Chlorophyll kicked in as she picked her stuff up and ran.

Hearth watched as the heavily laden Sewaddle sped along at a surprising speed. She had her own weapons, though. She glowed white as she used Quick Attack, steadily speeding towards the Sewaddle. The Bug type, looked tired. It didn't look like she could last much longer. However, if Hearth attacked, she might destroy the items.

"Hey, you're looking a little tied up there. Do you want to team up?"

Lee watched an Oshawott attack one of the other Careers. How dare he. He ran over and swung his legs at the Water type, excecuting a Double Kick on it. He turned over to the Riolu.

"Hey, should we sort this jerk out?" he asked.
 
Maria was shocked. Say yes you dolt. sge thought to herself. "Uh, yes, I would like to team up with you. I'm Maria. I was headed towards the Oasi-" she heard someone in trouble, and realized it was Splash! "Hey, Sawk, come get some of my string shot!" she used her string shot on the offending sawk.

Splash was in deep trouble now, and then he used Brine, and picked up his stuff, then ran for the Desert. "Later, suckers!" he yelled behind him.
 
Maria had seen her way to the Oasis easily. "I made it." she said.


Splash had made it to the Desert. He decided to oped his bag. He carefully opened the zipper and saw what was in it.
 
Hearth raced along with Maria to the Oasis, taking hold of some of her items so that she'd go faster. Once they arrived they dumped the items on the floor.

"Wait, you brought a tent! How are we going to use that?" Hearth looked desparingly at the cans. They were going to be almost impossible to open too.

"Anyway, how are we going to get shelter. Nights are cold in the desert and I'm sure that the Gamemakers will do something about that too."

Lee looked at the fleeing Pokémon. They'd lost the tent and the odd sleeping bag but it wasn't the end of the world. What really bugged him had been that Oshawott. What a jerk, abandonning the Careers in favour of fighting alone. He'd pay the price and soon. But their first priority was getting some food and water. There was no point staying here really. They needed to pack up and leave.
 
Maria had managed to open up the tent and crawl inside, taking the supplies with her. She settled down to a half liter and half a sandwich before she settled down for the night.

Splash had set up the sleeping bag and ate some bread as the sun set. He was sure that Sawk was going to kill him. He just knew. But then he went on a border patrol to make sure the Sawk wasn't chasing him at all.
 
After sleeping for a few days, Sarlaac and I was awaken by Mandibuzz. It seemed sorrow, as Sarlaac noticed she is missing her baby. We see some footmarks, leading towards a Vullby. And ONE, ANGRY, TAUROS! Sarlaac started to whip up a Sandstorm to hide using it's body.

I've told you before, Trainers are not featured in the Games.

OK, people, the Cornucopia is over! The rest of Day 1 is happening. From now on everything goes on PMs. I'll put up a death list later.
 
NOTICE:

I'm going to try doing things not by PM. I think that this'll encourage more activity from you guys.
 
After killing and feasting on Tauros, Sarlaac was full. The Vullaby found it's mother and later being EATEN by it's "mother". Mandibuzz was really...a CANIVORE! Sarlaac noticed it used Fake Tears to make him kill Tauros for nothing, (except for food) so Sarlaac threw a rock to weaken the Mandibuzz to escape. But soon, it was chasing up to him. Until Sarlaac used Take Down to hit it's wings. It was so powerful, it was critical to Mandibuzz's wings. It was beaten to death when Sarlaac grabbed the boomerang from it's head in order for Mandibuzz to die. Sarlaac hurried off to Area B with the boomerang.
 
Maria had suddenly turned and used a Leaf Tornado on Hearth. "I hope you die, sucker." she said.
