I have been thinking about this for quite some time and decided what the airport on the map (the map that was released/leaked about a week? ago) would be.
Please don't slap me for this idea! Dx
Maybe the airport is like the train station in HG/SS and the other Kanto games.
You would need to retrieve something for a NPC and give it back to them, then they would give you some tickets. There would be a Policeman who stands at the door and checks for your tickets, then whisks you off to the exit after checking.

At first, you would only be allowed to go to the region CLOSEST to Isshu (I believe it's Hoenn or Sinnoh), but then you would have to do something for another NPC and get tickets to all of the regions.

When you get on the plane, you would first be told where your seat was, and then be forced to sit down and rest.
When you woke up, your Pokemon in your party would be healed & ready.
There would be trainers to fight, and the various trainers you would see would be a gym leader, N (the Rival, whom you'd have to battle, and that would be the first time you entered the plane.)
After about 5 minutes (the game will know when 5 minutes are up by the DSi, DSL, or DS clock and one rest on your seat, you will be told your flight is ready and that you can leave the plane now.

How was that idea? C: It took me about 10 minutes to right this out, lul.

It also can be a customised fly gym .

I like tht idea, but all the regions in a game. One can only hope.

I like the idea too. Though I think if that is what it is then it will only be one more region or an extended section of that region to explore. We can dream though. It would be awesome to have such an immense game.

That is a great idea. I just hope we can go to a 3D Hoenn.

I actually think this is how it'll work out imo. But if we do return to a previous region, I think Hoenn is more likely than Sinnoh (thank god).

BW will feature only one region and RS remakes will follow either BW, or their third version.

/thread.

You say that like its fact.

It was intended to sound like that.

No point in stuffing Hoenn into BW if you could put it into a different game (RS remakes) and make twice as much money. That's why we didn't see Kanto in RS. Or Johto in DP.

Thing is, an airport is something pretty big, mentioned pretty early (so it obviously holds some importance), and leaving it only in the game so you can just arrive is a waste of space and memory when something else could have been included. What's the point in designing an airport just for you to see it once?

When you arrive in Hoenn, you arrive in a truck -- something insignificant that disappears in the game after that event and simple to design.

edit: oh snap, airport wasn't confirmed? I thought I was just missing some facts, lol. But since by airplane isn't confirmed, this post can apply to a boat too. Just like in gsc/hgss.

And, how do you know this?
Ending the thread? How do you even know that there's not going to be a airport? I didn't imply that there was ABSOLUTELY going to be a airport, I just gave my two cents and an idea. o3o....

The Isshu region is very far from any other region in the Pokemon world. They would need an airport. I would think it would be for special events, but prefer it to be a way to travel to another region.

Well...

When you arrive in Hoenn, you arrive in a truck -- something insignificant that disappears in the game after that event and simple to design.

There's a reason why. But in actuality, I think the plane will either take you to a post-E4 area - essentially, it'll be replacing the boat from past games - or, to either Black City or White Forest.

And, how do you know this?

Common sense, and from what's happened in the past two gens.

How do you even know that there's not going to be a airport? I didn't imply that there was ABSOLUTELY going to be a airport, I just gave my two cents and an idea. o3o....

I never said there wouldn't be an airport. I just know it won't take you to another region.

While I wouldn't want that to happen, that makes sense too, I guess. I didn't think of that.

Can someone give me a map of this place?

Hmm... sounds like a good thought.

It might also be how you get to this place, I think it is supposed to be an island, but I think the other idea with it taking you to one of the past regions is better.

I just know it won't take you to another region.

But you don't have absolute outright proof. You don't KNOW that it won't go to another region. Has Nintendo or Game Freak told you this directly? Otherwise, you know nothing about what this plane will do.

To be fair, you ain't exactly psychic... none of us are. Unless somebody here is and would like to enlighten me on it, please let me know.

What I'm about to say applies not just to you, but to everybody else, including me. We honestly don't know what purpose the airport will serve. Whether it'll take us to a previous region, a seperate landmass from Isshu, ect.

However, I will throw my 2 cents in... and it's nothing but speculation, so don't get on my case like I'm saying it's a fact, like how certain others are in this thread. The fact that Isshu is far away from previous regions, and that it requires a plane or boat to travel between Isshu and the previous regions, still stands... that's something that we can't deny and has been confirmed long ago. So, of course people are going to speculate that it might take us to a previous region... there's nothing wrong with that.

I don't need to be told the plane won't take us to another region to know that it won't. You two can go on about how GameFreak hasn't told me or how I'm not psychic. Doesn't change the fact there would be no logical reason to include a second region.

*Kanto, Johto, and Sinnoh just appeared last gen.
*Hoenn would be saved for RS remakes, which would make a lot of money
*Black and White are not sequels, which was the excuse GSC had for including Kanto

This can be discussed in the areas outside of Isshu thread.
