The "All Time Favourite Scene" Thread

Speculations aside, which scene throughout the entire anime, you consider as all-time favourite?

PS: That includes both, all the movies as well as the episodes. Also, please try to avoid the "character bashing" and enjoy the memory lane instead.

Musashi vs Habunake. That scene's pretty much amazing.

Pikachu v. Regice. Cue Jirachi Wish-Maker theme. Cue Pikachu finally overpowering Regice's strategy, and taking care of the Rest problem.

Epic. And totally worth it.

I'm not entirely certain that this IS my all time favourite, as I'm sure there are several I'm neglecting to remember. But the scene in which Team Rocket are trying to steal the Moltres flame from Ash in 'All Fired Up' never fails to crack me up. To elaborate;

-It starts with Meowth catching the flame after scratching up Ash's face. The way he grabs the torch has said flame facing directly at him, which promptly sets him alight.
- He begins chasing after Jessie and James, desperately screaming in agony for them to put the fire out, as they yell back at him to stay away.
- James has the genius idea of....sending out Victreebel for whatever reason, which is the first time we ever get to hear it let out the famous bloodcurdling scream.
- Victreebel swallows the still-on-fire Meowth whole. Which sets it on fire too.
-Meowth then sticks his widdle legs out of Victreebel's mouth and starts running around aimlessly, still managing to stay on his team mate's trail regardless, before it reaches the point where all four of them are left writhing around on the ground engulfed in a huge fireball.
-Ash has Squirtle put out the fire, and they all end up lying in a heap, completely charred.
-To finish things off, Jessie becomes so furious at what just happened, that she picks up a dazed Meowth by his legs, almost rips them from their sockets in blind rage and then violently chucks him to the ground.

One of the best slapstick moments in the show, imo.

From the movies, my all time favourite scene would be the one where Tory falls down while climbing those Block Bots... As a result, he throws his passport to Ash, in mid-air, so that he can stop the chaos instead. BEST. SCENE. EVER.

From the anime episodes, I think Ash VS Noland, the entire match, is one of the best things I have ever seen. Not much of a drag and perfectly handled.

Mine would either be in Claydol Big and Tall when Ash and James dress up as aubergines to attract Claydol with May, Meowth, Wobbuffet, and Jessie dressing up as maids, or Once in a Mawile when Lombre and Wobbuffet do that comedy routine.

Probably the end of Holy Matrimony, with Jessie and James in their hot air balloon. The music is one of my favorite pieces in the franchise, and it showed how they're more than teammates, they're friends.

 

[Bouffalant Herdier]

The end of Ash and Paul's final battle, when Infernape finally defeats Electivire and wins the match for Ash. An perfect ending for almost 200 episodes of build-up and the longest battle in the series yet.

Episode 1: where pikachu comes to ash's rescue and shocks the shit out of those spearrow. afterward they lie on the ground and they had there first real codack moment together when they both realized they won.

Pokemon the movie 2000: at the end when Melody plays the song and order is restored to the legendary birds and the beast of the sea thus saving the world

Probably the 'evil' Ash after he was possessed in that Battle Frontier episode. Just for being so absolutely out of character but kinda awesome at the same time.

Though some of my favourite scenes are the Pokemon thinking ones, Bayleef imagining being yelled at by Ash is the best example of that sort of thing, but it's usually pretty funny.

And while it appeared in every episode for ages, the title screen with Pikachu tossing Ash's hat up on to his head is always good to see - I like symbolism in things. It's certainly the most interesting of the title screens over the years.

Come to think of it, I had one whole episode I just loved. Well, it was one of those pre-movie shorts.

The Gotta Dance one. Absolutely the best ever. Of anything. No joke.

Oh!!!!!!! As to my favorite movie scene ever:

The Rise of Darkrai. Ash, Dawn, Brock, and Pikachu and practically bawling on the balcony looking to the mountain. The actually-heroic Darkrai was destroyed to save the town. And then his shadow appears on the mountain. Spin around, look to the arch, and the most epic screen-pan sequence and music occurs. That scene still sends chills up my spine as I write this. Best scene in the history of Pokemon.
