Welcome the Pokemon Anime room! My name is Gotpika!

If you're not familiar on how to play this game, basically a group of people sit around each other in a round formation and spin a bottle. Whoever the bottle points to must be asked a question (truth) or told to perform a certain task (dare), depending on what the person chose to do. That person then spins it where another victim is chosen and asked the same question. It repeats until everyone gets bored of playing.

Tweaking the game to fit with the forums, you must respond to the member above you. If they ask for a truth, you ask them a question. If they ask for a dare, you must assign them a task to perform. Everything must be related to Pokemon Anime. You can become devious and give them a mind-boggling truth/dare for them to answer or not. Be creative!

Here's a rough example of how we'll play:
Member Z: I choose truth.
Member 9: Okay do you prefer Drayden or Roxie as the eight Gym Leader of Unova? I pick dare!
Member T: I dare you to draw a picture of Paul's Electabuzz. I pick a dare too.
Member G: I dare you to put “____shipping is the best!” on your sig for Z hours. I pick truth.
Member C: Have you ever ran into a Pokemon fan in your whole life?

Here are the rules and restrictions of playing:
  • General Anime Forum rules and Bulbagarden Community rules apply at all times. This means no spamming, flaming, multi-posting, etc.
  • Bold your option when posting.
  • While posting, you must respond to the user above you.
  • Keep truths and dares PG. So no porn drawing, etc. Of course Shipping and all that jazz is okay.
  • For the sake of this being a Pokémon community, keep your truths and dares Pokémon-related. If you know the user well enough, then you may give then a non-Pokémon dare.
  • Avoiding a truth or dare given to you is against the rules. Doing this will equal in you getting dares every time you post.
  • Questions or concerns can only be reported via PM or VM to me.
  • Have fun and go wild!

Options You can Pick
Truth
  1. A question will be handed to you and you must answer it honestly.
  2. Try not to kill the game by choosing truths all the time. Mix it up. ;]

Dare
  1. These are the types of dares you can give the user:
    • Draw a sketch, doodle, or fan art of a certain shipping, character, Pokemon, etc.
    • Write a one-shot (1000 words or more) or drabble (500 words or less) on a certain thing.
    • Design a banner, icon, wallpaper, etc graphic of a certain Pokemon thing.
    • Write a certain message you want on their signature and they must keep it there for either 24-72 hours depending on what the darer said.
    • Locate fan art or a screenshot or take a screenshot of a certain scene, it can be a battle scene, shipping scene, etc.
    • Leave a Poke-like message on a participant's profile.
  2. You cannot avoid your dare so try to get it over with as soon as possible. It's understandable if you can't do a certain dare however.
  3. Telling a participant to make a thread is against the game rules so do not give this to someone. We don't want a thousand threads to spam the forums.
  4. Posting messages on users' profiles is allowed but the users must be actual participants in the game. I'll try to keep a list of whom they are here.

Gotpika, I dare you to write a Comashipping drabble

Truth :)

@CommanderPigg; Do you think Paul was given a weaker team at the league just so Ash could be given a realistic win because he might have been too OP by that point?

Gotpika, I dare you to write a Comashipping drabble

Done.

Worth
Coma-Drabble

"Electabuzz, ThunderPunch!"

The rather-bulbous Electric-type charged Monferno with one hand holding the many volts of electricity that Electabuzz could conjure, making a somewhat impressive leap-of-fate toward the incoming Playful Pokemon. The thunder-charged move collided with Mach Punch, bringing out a magnificent explosion so powerful a large cloud of dust covered the whole battlefield. As the debris gradually subsided it revealed both Pokemon still standing, not for long though as Electabuzz let out a cocky smirk and Monferno hit the ground. As time went by, Paul saw Ash walking over to comfort his newly evolved Pokemon for its well-fought battle, he was definitely broken after that fight.

As Paul walked with purpose toward his next destination he replayed the scenario in his head several times. Who was Ash to challenge Paul's philosophy for training and his Pokemon? He wasn't entirely, heavily bothered by Ash at first. Only seeing him as a rather average trainer, a pathetic trainer was more like it. That all changed when that traitor joined him. Paul didn't know why he suddenly cared about Chimchar or rather now, Monferno. The Pokemon he had released during the Hearthome Tag Battle Tournament, he hadn't meshed well with him at all as the same could be said with Ash. Though had Ash Ketchum done what he couldn't? Taken Chimchar and brought out its true power?

It bothered him so much, especially when Monferno jumped around upon evolving. Staying true to the species' name, playing and acting giddy. Even sending a gust of wind toward him that rustled through his hair with the newly-learned Mach Punch, as if it was flipping Paul off. Electabuzz had maintained a near-flawless defensive battling style the whole time, as did most of Paul's Pokemon. It was an easy way to deal with Ash's Pokemon which focused more on speed. Had Ash managed to control Blaze as well?

As Paul continued his trek, he realized his opinion on that always-cheerful trainer was changing. He was beginning to recognize there might be some worth in Ash, there might be some worth in Monferno now. Paul had managed to make the battle a blow-out, winning by a nicely-sized margin. So, why did he care so much? Why did he feel a bit of a threat in Ash? The stoic young man stopped as he pulled out a red-and-white, ping-pong-sized capsule. Pressing a button in the middle he enlarged the metallic red-and-white sphere and tossed it.

"Electabuzz, standby!" The Electric Pokemon appeared from the burst of light in a battle stance but was surprised to see no opponent and Paul simply facing it.

"Monferno," Paul said sternly. "You saw the strength it showed after evolution."

"Eleele." The black-stripped Pokemon concurred.

"You are not to lose to Monferno, I am not to lose to Ash Ketchum. Do you understand?"

"Ele." The Pokemon responded as he continued to stare down his Pokemon.

Paul had recognized Ash now, he was rival. Monferno was Electabuzz's rival as well. The strength of both of them, it couldn't be ignored. If Ash had battled with a clearer head and less emotion, maybe that would have changed things? Paul had learned that from battling Pyramid King Brandon at the Battle Pyramid back at Snowpoint City. If Ash Ketchum could do something with Chimchar, he couldn't did that mean he had the means to defeat him? Did it mean Ash had more? Did it mean Ash had something he didn't to bring out Chimchar's latent strength? Paul could have worked himself into a coma pondering. For once, he had felt like he had a rival in Ash. The emotion and compassion of Ash and Monferno was the same and was mirror image of him and Electabuzz.

"Electabuzz, you better not fall behind." The Electric Pokemon silently nodded as Paul returned it to its Pokeball. He didn't believe in leaving Pokemon out for things like walking and traveling in the same way Ash did with his Pikachu or that diminutive Coordinator did with her Piplup. Believing that would be the way to spoil them and make them weak. There was no room for that on Paul's party.

"Ash." Paul frowned but somehow felt a burning fire in his stomach. His fire had been ignited, he had found someone of worth.

I pick truth.

@Karamazov; I have not ever had a physical crush on an anime character. :p

Karamazov I dare you to post a KodakShipping AMV on CommanderPigg's wall.

Also, I probably should make this clearer. The prior challenge does not have to be done for another person post XD

I pick dare

I dare you to compose a positive essay on Cabernet. uvu

I'm going for truth.

A Comashipping drabble would just be this:

Ash: Paul what you're doing is bad!!!
Paul: Pathetic. Bye.

OH THE ROMANCE

I pick truth.

@HumanDawn; You should have given me a dare. Since you didn't, I guess I don't have to do anything!

Anyways, for you: Which ship involving two Pokémon is your favorite?

Let's try dare again.

@Berrenta; I suppose I have a few, actually. What I did for Love! is one of my favourites, because it gave Brock some spotlight and proved to be a very engaging and hilarious episode. The last time I saw it, I was kind of upset over something, and it cheered me up immensely. I also like the entire Grand Festival Arc, and I found the Anabel-focused episodes quite fun and fascinating in addition. I need to rewatch a few, though.

I dare you to sketch your feelings on an episode in BW of your choice.

I'll risk a dare this time 'round.

@Mielikki; I dare you to... write about your favourite location in the Anime so far, any saga.

@Chiplet;
KenyanCrossDressing2-2_zps9ca40b32.jpg

Eh, it's Kenyan in a 50s cocktail dress (or something that was based on one, at least). I wanted him on a piano, so I added in Masaomi for the heck of it. Hope you like it, sorry it would've been digital, but I can't find my tablet currently. Masaomi's bubble says "What is wrong with my life", btw and this picture above is the outlined version of the original sketch.

I'll choose truth now.

I dare you to compose a positive essay on Cabernet. uvu

Cabernet

I think Cabernet is possibly the fourth or third best rival of Pocket Monsters:Best Wishes and she has a rather unique goal and design. The writers really went for something different with having a failure rival. Sure, we've had characters like Harley and Urara who have talked a big game like Cabernet but have ultimately ended up being outclassed often by their respective rivals. Cabernet is different since I feel as though she's just like the one we're meant to root for in-regards to winning. Even though she and Dent have had a stagnate rivalry since the show began, I still think there's time to do something with her. I don't think we've ever had a rival who simply decided to learn a whole new occupation just to spite their rival.

I simply relish her interactions with Dragon Buster and Iris' rival, Langley, partly because I ship them in a platonic friendship, ship, known as SourGrapesShipping. They're both unique in design and both have some pretty interesting Pokemon in their arsenals. I simply enjoyed the way in the World Tournament Junior Cup & Donamite they talked among-st each other and were so clung together compared to the more energetic Kenyan and Bel. Her Futachimaru is easily my favorite Pokemon of her team, then again, I love the Mijumaru line quite a bit in-general and I loved the way it knew how to use Revenge, get it, REVENGE. Her calling card in life is just to get back at Dent simply for giving her Mijumaru a sour evaluation, though if Dent was anything like he was with Satoshi's Mijumaru I wouldn't be surprised if she was angry.

I actually really thought Cabernet was at her best in her first episode, she suggested Satoshi get a Chlorophyll Kurumiru over a Swarm Kurumiru and it makes sense, Satoshi has a very sweeper battling style in which he seems to mesh best with Pokemon that are speedy and strong, Pokemon that are big and bulky have had pretty crappy win-records under his ownership, Gantle, Cotoise, Dodaitose etc. Even the very lazy Kabigon has shown to have somewhat decent speed for Satoshi to abuse. Cabernet's evaluation actually made sense, especially when you consider she gave a spot-on evaluation of Pikachu before she was attacked by Kurumiru and then went off the deep-end to loony town, giving a crappy evaluation to just about every Pokemon in future appearances, Doryuuzu, Gamagaru, etc.

I like how she's named off a type of wine which is a nice throwback to the whole Sommelier goal. I actually would have loved for her to be the resolution to the Pinot Noir and Momochii episode plot, it would have been excellent. I thought Cabernet would have stood by and watch the two A-Class Sommeliers do battle and would whisper into the little girl's ear what Pokemon would fit best for her and she would take it, giving Cabernet a nice comedic success for once, since she is a joke characters and yet she could succeed to an extent in a way. I'm disappointed that she's been used as a rag-toy most of the time. Only appearing for others to beat and as a foil to the more level-headed Dento.

I'm still waiting for the writers to finally have Cabernet abuse Dent's Choroneko racism for her own benefit, sadly I doubt it's gonna happen. In fact it seems like the whole Choroneko thing is more of a gag now and meant to be a reference to the real life black cat superstition. Cabernet is a okay character in her own right, I just really hope some development is waiting in the wings for her since she's on a pretty beaten path right now.

Likeitornur, what is your honest opinion on Urara?

truth for me this time :p

Gotpika: is it true that your opinion about Cabernet has changed a little after writing that essay?

I go for...dare.

@Likeitornot.;
I don’t have certain favourite location, so I improvized and picked one of that I liked.
From the deepest underground of the Virbank City was soaking a loud, strange noice to the nearest surroundings. From time to time, passerby elderly people glared to the direction, the music was coming from, disgusted. The entrance of the building was seemingly worn out. The paint on the metal door was falling away, revealing big spots of rust. A few young people – mostly dressed in dark colours were stepping in, exited, in anticipation.

A couple of young trainers were shuffling nervously in front of the entrance. Is this really the local gym? Both of them were too afraid to step into the lair of dangerous-looking rockers. Finally, they took a deep breath and found the courage to enter. As a future pokémon masters, they shouldn’t be afraid of such things as the ramshackle building.

The noise was getting louder and louder. The trainers’ doubts were now so intense, that they were thinking of returning back to the Pokémon centre. Maybe they should ask Nurse Joy for proper directions to the gym. But then one of them suddenly noticed a poster. There, with the giant blood red letters stood: „Today, with our special guest, Sidney from the Hoenn Elite 4! “ The announcement continued with smaller font. „Virbank City gym“.

The faces of two trainers widened in surprise. The gym in a music club? What‘s coming next? Gym placed in a volcano? Reassured, they are coming the right way, they went through an arrow corridor to the club itself. The music was deafening now. The youngsters wondered, how can someone come here and listening to this willingly.

They approached to one of the black-dressed girls there and asked where they´ll find Roxie. The girl smiled and pointed to young woman with white hair nearby. The gym leader has apparently noticed the gesture and came to the challengers. “Sorry boys, challenges only after gig. But you can stay here and enjoy the show if you want,” she smiled mischievously when she saw the looks of both trainers, each one seeming to rather jump out of the cliff than listening to this any minute longer.

“It will be a long night, “ she nodded as she turned to the stage and saw there a middle-aged man with greenish hair, holding her guitar and playing well-known tritone. “It seems we have one more support band this time. I hope, they‘ll play I‘m perfection again.”

Sorry for the ending, I just wanted to add something insane.
And... I don´t share the opinion of the trainers.

@CamyPSyrup; Draw/sketch/paint/whatever Turtwig on its birthday party
Now I´ll go with truth

Gotpika: is it true that your opinion about Cabernet has changed a little after writing that essay?
Not really, that's just the simple positive opinion I've held of Cabernet for most of her run. I still find her reasons for hating Dento to be pretty selfish and petty overall, but she's better than the likes of Bel and Shooti. My main problem with Cabernet is she's made out to be a one-dimensional creep whose sole purpose is to antagonize Dento and has zero development. Though she's still a good character in my eyes, especially when she's around Langley XD

Let's shake things up with a dare :>

@Gotpika; I dare you to draw Barry and Dawn and his reaction when she takes him to one of her favorite places. :sweatlol:

@Likeitornot.; A bit of delay, some thinking, and a few scanner troubles later, I give you this:

My overall feeling about the first BW episode.
BW001_feeling.jpg
To be honest, I felt sorry for Ash's Pikachu and what he went through there. That poor guy...

I'll do truth this time.

@CamyPSyrup; Write a drabble as to what would happen if Brock and Cilan meet each other.

To answer: Not necessarily, but I do have a few faves Ice-type-wise: Glaceon, Spheal, and Froslass.

For now... dare.
