After far too long away from streaming, I'll finally be returning to do a new regular series on the Bulbagarden Twitch channel from Tuesday June 2nd.

This run is a tribute of sorts to how I used to play through Blue & Silver versions back in the day, with the same imposed conditions I put on myself when playing through those games:
  • The primary team can only be Bug Pokémon, my 1st partner (not to be used in battles after acquiring 2 bugs, after which they can remain as a mascot and as a buffer to allow me to flee from wild Pokémon), and any required HM Mules (not to be used in battles at all except as a buffer to allow for fleeing from wild Pokémon, HMs should go to Bugs where possible)
  • The only items allowed to be purchased are Poké Balls.
    • When preparing to challenge the Elite 4 and Champion, it is permissible to purchase healing items so that I can fully heal my party between battles.
  • Non-Poké Ball items can only be used if found rather than purchased
    • This rule is suspended when challenging the Elite 4 and Champion
  • Before I can move on to a new area, I must have every single Pokémon that can be found in that area in my Pokédex
    • A living Pokédex is not required
  • I can't look anything up on Bulbapedia during the run
    • An exception is made for looking up Pokémon availability for each route or area, to ensure compliance with the previous rule
It's been more than 2 decades since I last did a full playthrough of LeafGreen, so I hope you'll join me in seeing just how bad my memory has got after all this time. ^^;;
 
Episode 1 New
Thanks everyone who came to watch the first episode of the new series last night! For those who missed it, you can catch up with the videos below (our stream got interrupted partway through with an internet blip that crashed OBS). This episode was very much a prologue, with most of the time spent grinding up our first two bugs to Butterfree and Beedrill. Now that we've got Confusion, things should go much more smoothly in the next stream!
