The Ash and Pikachu Show-Season 1



ANP [HASHTAG]#001[/HASHTAG]: The Dynamic Poke-Duo!

(Cue OP-On Our Way-as the song plays, we see various shots of the Pokemon cast in the backstage area, getting ready for a show: Misty walks past one member of the lighting crew, making her trip and drop her paints, which color some of the notes on Brock's sheet music. He tries to clean the music, only to get walloped by a basketball in the face (thrown by May) Pikachu runs past all of this, down a hallway, and through a door with a star on it marked "Ash". He cries "Pika!" and points at a clock, which is ticking dangerously close to "Show Time!" Ash notices the time on the clock and ducks behind a screen to get ready, when he finishes, he's now decked out in a red top hat (with the same design as his cap) and tails. Ash then runs head on at the camera and makes a flying entrance onto a stage as the song concludes)

Female announcer: And now, it's time for the Ash and Pikachu Show!

(Pikachu climbs onto Ash's shoulder and smiles as the title card flies in from the right, a short clip of "On Our Way" in the background)

(Applause as Ash (this time in his normal attire) jogs onstage and waves to the imaginary crowd.)

Ash: Thank you! We have a great show planned for you tonight...we've got thrills---

(Ash is cut off by a scream backstage)

Ash: Uh, I didn't mean those kinds of thrills...::ahem:: We've got chills--

(We see the backstage thermostat-a mysterious hand turns the knob down, making the temperature in the theater drop to the point where Ash is a human ice cube)

Ash(shivering): I d-didn't m-mean those kinds of ch-chills, either...Who's m-messing with the thermostat?

(The answer of course, is Pikachu...he playfully turns the knob all the way to the right, making the theater so hot, Ash melts into an amoeba made of sweat. He crawls backstage to see Pikachu turning the temperature knob back and forth, making the theater's environment change accordingly)

Ash-amoeba: Pikachu? Could you stop messing with the thermostat? You're making it uncomfortable for me and the audience!

Pikachu: Chu! (he resets the thermostat back to normal, making Ash appear in his original form)

Ash: Now come on! We have a show to do! (returns to the stage, Pikachu in tow) As I was saying, we even have a few surprises for-- (a trapdoor suddenly opens under Ash) YOOOOUUUU!!!! (A splash is heard)

Pikachu: Pikapi? (looks down the trapdoor to see Ash in a puddle of water)

Ash: Just start the first cartoon, would ya?

Pikachu: Pika! (he bounds up to a projector and starts it, making the lights in the theater go down)

(CARTOON-Pokemon, I Choose You!)

(When the cartoon ends, Ash trudges back onstage sopping wet, to the cheers of the audience.)

Ash: I wonder why we even HAVE that trapdoor....

Misty(offscreen): Beats me! (Misty appears onstage with a drawing board, paper, and a chair)

Ash: What's all that for?

Misty: I thought I might show the viewers at home how certain things are done here...lights!

(On Our Way interlude plays as title card appears-'Back to the Drawing Board' with Misty". Misty's face appears in the o in "Board")

(A white screen appears, presumably to simulate a blank piece of paper.)

Misty(voiceover): Ah, a fresh piece of blank paper...let's see what sort of mayhem we can make here....but before that, we need a character to undergo our adventures!

(A pencil appears on the screen and begins drawing and coloring Brock)

Brock: Hi! (looks around the blank screen) I could use some scenery here...

(The pencil draws a line behind Brock, making a very simple scene)

Brock: Not much of a scene...

Misty(voiceover): Then be specific!

Brock: Okay...how about...the beach? (the pencil draws in a crowded beach) and I'm surfing to impress the ladies! (the pencil draws a surfboard and water under Brock, before it starts to erase him!) Hey, what the...?

Misty(voiceover): I'm just dressing you accordingly...(the pencil draws swim trunks onto Brock) There. Happy surfing! (the scene begins moving--Brock weaves and swirls on the waves, to the point of making silly poses on the board) But, watch where you're going, Surfer King! (Brock crashes into a palm tree, making "The End" appear on the screen)

(Back in the theater-Ash looks over as Misty finishes making the finishing touches to her "Brock surfing" comic)

Ash: Nice comic...

Misty: Thanks...

Ash: While she's cleaning up, here's another cartoon...(the lights go down)

(CARTOON-Stage Fight!)

(In the theater, we see Ash seated at a grand piano--Pikachu snoozes nearby Ash's sheet music)

Ash: Now, it's time for the musical part of the show...that is, if we can find Brock and tell him he's on...

Pikachu: Pika! (he bounds off the piano, runs past boxes of props, costumes, and other items, past the light/sound booth, down the dressing room hallway, and into an open dressing room, where we see Brock practicing on an acoustic guitar) Pipika! Pika pi! (gestures to clock, which is blinking "Show time!")

Brock: I'm on? Okay... (grabs guitar and follows Pikachu onstage, where Ash is waiting oh-so patiently)

Ash: Bout time...ready for your musical number?

Brock: Why yes...(to the audience) And now, for your listening pleasure, I'm going to sing the blues...or is that the greens? (Ash rolls his eyes at the corny intro) You see, this little number's called the "Green with Envy Blues"!

Misty: This had better be good...

Brock: Maestro...(Ash just plays a simple piano chord, while Brock prepares to give his guitar a mighty strum) That's the whole introduction? You're supposed to do it in a light key, too!

Ash: Okay, okay... (plays a bouncy blues intro, while Brock strums to the beat)

Brock: I'm...blue as I can be! (Brock's spotlight turns blue, every time he mentions a color his spotlight changes accordingly) Green with jealousy! Look what you've done to me!

I got those green...with envy blues!
I mean those red...with anger blues!
And there's the purple with passion blues,
Over you!

Orange...you're gonna squeeze me...neath the mellow, yellow moon...
So I can lose these green with envy, red with anger, purple passionate blues...

Oh! Oh-oh-oh-oh! (gags)

Misty: Methinks you need to practice that...

Brock: Purple with passion blues...over you! Oh! Whoa-oh-oh-oh!

Orange...you're gonna squeeze me...neath the mellow, yellow moon!
So I can lose these green with envy, red with anger, purple passionate blues!

And that's the green with envy blues! (applause) Thank you! (bows and acknowledges Ash, who also bows)

Misty: Here's another cartoon so you can recover fom all those colors... ::starts projector::

(CARTOON-Air Time!)

(Back in the theater, Brock is still singing the "Green with Envy Blues")

Misty: Somebody make him stop! One time's enough!

Ash: You tell him we're out of time for tonight...

Misty: I think I will...(gets pencil and draws a cane from the wings, which yanks Brock offstage, guitar and all)

Ash: Now that that's out of the way, Pikachu and I want to say thank you for coming to see us tonight!

Pikachu: Pika pi! (waves goodbye as the curtain closes and the ending credits roll over a reprise of On Our Way)

(Cue OP-On Our Way-as the song plays, we see various shots of the Pokemon cast in the backstage area, getting ready for a show: Misty walks past one member of the lighting crew, making her trip and drop her paints, which color some of the notes on Brock's sheet music. Female announcer: And now, it's time for the Ash and Pikachu Show!

(Pikachu climbs onto Ash's shoulder and smiles as the title card flies in from the right, a short clip of "On Our Way" in the background)

(Applause as Ash appears onstage in a spotlight)

Ash: Thank you...I'd like to take a minute to say a few thank yous...for without their help, the show wouldn't be possible!...

(Meanwhile, in a Team Rocket base, Jessie, James, and Meowth are watching "The Ash and Pikachu Show" on a TV, fascinated.)

Meowth: Just look at'em, tankin' all da little people at home for dere support of da show...if only we were the ones on da stage rather than da twerps!

Jessie: I can see it now..."The Team Rocket Show..."

(Jessie's dream sequence-A messed up version of "On Our Way" plays as various Rocket grunts get ready for a show, in a clever parody of our show's opening, culminating in James making a flying leap onto the stage in a purple top hat and tails, clearly parodying Ash. A female announcer calls "And now, it's time for the Team Rocket Show!" Meowth makes a jump into the air as the parody title card flies in from the right...but a familiar face pops up after the title card...)

Wobbufett: WAAAAA-BA-FETT!

Jessie: Who said you could be in our dream show? Now, shoo! (Jessie shoves Wobbufett off the couch as she gets up)
Let's go pay the twerps a visit and see if they'll let us be on the show! (Jessie rushes out the door, James and Meowth in tow)

(Back in the theater, Ash is winding up his sponsor spiel)

Ash: ...and so, to all our sponsors, I say, thank you! (a crash is heard) Huh?

(The lights come up on Team Rocket)

Jessie: To protect the viewers from desvastation...

James: And broadcast our own show throughout our nation...

Jessie: To announce the the evils of truth and love,

James: To extend your knowledge far above...

Jessie: Jessie!

James: James!

Jessie: Team Rocket! Broadcast at the speed of light!

James: Surrender now, or see black and white...

Meowth: Meowth! Dat's right!

Ash: Wait a minute! Who said you could be on the show?

Misty: What's wrong, Ash?

Ash: Team Rocket's trying to crash the show here...

Misty: WHAT???

Jessie: We thought we'd try out running our own TV show for once!

Ash: Not on my show, you're not!

Jessie: Well, we're here, and that's that!

(Backstage, Brock is listening to the arguement from the wings, all the while tuning his guitar)

Brock: And I thought May and Jessie arguing was bad...

Misty: Why do you say that? (follows Brock to the projector room, where the projector is waiting)

Brock: Maybe this cartoon will help you understand... (starts the projector, which makes the lights in the theater dim...)

(CARTOON-Which Wurmple's Which?)

(Backstage-Misty returns to the drawing board, wincing at the arguement going on onstage. Just as she's about to get comfortable, May enters and tries to look over Misty's shoulder.)

May: Drawing one of your Brock comics again?

Misty: Why not, It'll be a perfect timewaster while--

(Suddenly, Team Rocket runs backstage and down the dressing room hallway, chased by Pikachu)

TR: We're running off agaaaaainnn!!!!!

Pikachu: Pika pi chu!

May: Thanks, Pikachu, why don't you sit here and watch Misty draw one of her comics? (she invites Pikachu to sit on her shoulder as Misty begans to work.)

(On Our Way interlude plays as title card appears-'Back to the Drawing Board' with Misty". Misty's face appears in the o in "Board")

(A white screen appears, simulating a blank piece of paper)

Misty(voicever): So, what kind of adventure shall we make Brock have today? (A pencil appears and draws Brock on the screen)

May(voiceover): Ooh! Draw him playing his guitar!

Misty(voiceover): All right... (the pencil draws an acoustic guitar in Brock's hands...but when he plucks one of the strings, no sound is heard)

Brock: Sound, please... (plucks one of the strings, making a Pikachu cry be heard....he tries again, only a train whistle is heard...the third time, wind whistling is heard) Okay, GUITAR sound, please... (plucks the string again, this time a guitar note is heard) That's better. (He starts playing a simple melody)

May(voiceover): Can I draw some people listening to him?

Misty(voiceover): Sure! (The pencil draws Officer Jenny and Nurse Joy listening to Brock's song...but not before he changes his tune!)

Brock: Jenny, oh Jenny...Joy, oh Joy...A one woman man's what I wanna be...

Misty: Oh please... (the pencil draws a cream pie in Nurse Joy's hands, which she hurls at Brock with a SPLUT!, making "The End" appear over Nurse Joy)

(Meanwhile, Team Rocket crawls into the projector room, exhausted from their run in with Pikachu.)

James: Did we lose them?

Meowth: Oh, lookie here! (He runs over to the projector) Now we can show da viewers at home one of our greatest moments! (He starts the projector.)

(CARTOON-Holy Matrimony!)

(Back in the theater-Ash sits at the grand piano, Pikachu sits nearby, ready to turn the pages)

Ash: Since we got Team Rocket out of the way, let's have a musical number, shall we? (A spotlight appears on Brock, who has his guitar in hand)

Brock: Thanks, Ash...I'm gonna enlist the help of the house band on this one...I call it "Teardrops From My Eyes".

(The piano, bass and drums lead Brock into the song)

Brock: Every time it rains,
I think of you...
And that's the time
I feel so blue...

When the rain starts a-fallin',
My love comes tumblin' down!
And it's rainin...
Teardrops from my eyes!

Well, if you see clouds,
Here in my eyes...
It's just because,
You said goodbye!

Jessie: What's the matter?

Meowth: Dat song...it reminds me of my dear Meowsie! (cries again)

James: There, there...

Jessie: Maybe this cartoon will help? ::starts projector::

(CARTOON-Go West, Young Meowth!)

(In the projector room, Meowth sniffles as he turns to leave)

Meowth: Tanks guys...dat helped a little, but I still need some time to tink of Meowsie...(exits from the stage door. Jessie and James follow, also teary eyed)

(Back onstage, Ash addresses the audience. Brock, meanwhile, is still singing "Teardrops From My Eyes)

Ash: Well, that's about all the time we have for tonight...

Misty: I'll tell Maestro here... (draws a cane from the wings, which yanks Brock offstage, guitar and all)

Ash: Thanks...as always, Pikachu and I want to thank you for being with us tonight--even if Team Rocket tried to spoil it!

Pikachu: Pika pi! (waves goodbye as the curtain closes-On Our Way reprise plays as the credits roll)

Ash: Thank you! Tonight, I want to pay tribute to the Kanto Trio... (a picture of Ash, Misty and Brock is unfurled next to Ash) No, no, no, not THAT Kanto Trio! The OTHER Kanto Trio! (the picture rolls up, then unrolls agin, this time with the correct picture: Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle) There we go...as I was saying, these three have helped my a lot, so I felt it would be fitting to give than each their own show. With that in mind, allow me to introduce my Bulbasaur.

(A spotlight appears at stage right, but nobody enters)

Ash: I said, let me introduce my Bulbasaur...

(The spotlight reappears at stage right, but nobody enters)

Ash(through gritted teeth): Let me introduce my Bulbasaur...

(The spotlight reappears at stage right, but nobody enters. Before Ash can storm offstage to look for Bulbasaur, he finds Misty waiting for him in the wings)

Misty: Ever thought of whistling for him?

Ash: I think I will... (whistles in the direction of stage right, making Bulbasaur's head peek out from the wings)

Bulbasaur: Bulba?

Ash: Come on out and say hi to the audience!

Bulbasaur: Bulbasaur! (Bulbasaur trots onstage behind Ash, prompting a few cheers from the audience)

Ash: Here he is...he's helped me a lot, mostly on rescue missions...but I'll never forget when I first got him...(starts projector, making the lights dim)

(CARTOON-Bulbasaur and the Hidden Village)

(Backstage, May is playing with her own Bulbasaur. Misty sees this as she gets the drawing board in order.)

Misty: Aww...how cute.

May: Thanks...I named her Bulbette.

Misty: Bulbette, huh? Would she like to watch me make a comic?

Bulbette: Bulbasaur! (climbs on top of a box to watch as Misty goes to work)

(On Our Way interlude plays as title card appears-'Back to the Drawing Board' with Misty". Misty's face appears in the o in "Board")

(A white screen appears, simulating a blank piece of paper)

Misty(voiceover): Okay...let's draw Brock really quick...

(A pencil appears and draws Brock on the screen)

Bulbette(voiceover): Bulbasaur! (the pencil suddenly draws a mustache on Brock, followed by a red shirt, overalls, white gloves and a red "M" hat)

Brock(in a Mario-esque voice): It's-a me, Mario!

May(voiceover): Bulbette! This is Misty's drawing, not yours! (the pencil erases all the Mario attire off of Brock)

Misty(voiceover): Anyway... (Suddenly, Brock's mouth opens, making a whole desert, complete with cacti and cow skulls, appear)

Brock: So thirsty...

Misty(voiceover): Here. (the pencil draws a drink machine in the sand)

Brock: It's not a mirage, is it?

Misty(voiceover): Nope...try it!

(Enthralled by a drink, Brock tries to insert some coins in the machine, only to discover that it IS a mirage)

Brock: Wait a second, I thought you said this wasn't a mirage! (gasps when he sees another drink machine, yet this one is a mirage too, as is the next one, and the next, and the next....)

May(voiceover): Come on, Misty, aren't you going to be nice and let him have a drink?

Misty(voiceover): Well, it is fun watching him run around looking for the real machine.

(Brock is suddenly confronted by rows and rows of drink machines sitting in the sand...he hesitantly tries to insert coins in the first one...and this one is real! He enjoys his drink as "THE END" appears over him)

(Backstage, Bulbette watches Misty finish the comic)

Bulbette: Bulba! (she jumps off the box and darts onstage)

May: YIPE! (runs onstage after Bulbette, nearly crashing into the film screen)

Ash: May? What's your Bulbasaur doing here!

May: I heard you were doing the show on them tonight, so she decided to come!

Ash: Think you can behave while you watch this cartoon?

Bulbette: Bulbasaur! (starts the projector before Ash can)

(CARTOON-Grass Hysteria!)

(We return to the theater to see the grand piano--only Brock is seated before the keys this time.)

Brock: I thought I'd do something different tonight; a solo. (He begins to play "Fur Elise")

(May and Bulbette are listening from the wings)

Bulbette: Bulba?

May: That's just a pretty song that a lot of people can play on the-- (suddenly realizes Bulbette is gone) HEY!

(Brock continues to play, until the song "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" breaks his concentration. He looks to see Bulbette next to him, playing the song with her vines)

Bulbette: Bulb!

Brock: Not now, Bulbette... (shoos Bulbette off the bench, then resumes playing)

(Bulbette, meanwhile, notices the bench's adjusting pump...she starts raising the bench until Brock is towering over the piano, his arms stretching far enough to reach the keys...then lowers the bench to normal, making Brock land with a thud! (and still with stretchy arms). After a particularly expressive strain, Brock is literally fit to be tied. After untying himself (returning his arms to normal), he's about to resume his song until a boogie bass line catches his attention--and it's Bulbette playing! Brock decides to forget about his planned solo and jams along with Bulbette...when they finish, both take a bow.)

May: I didn't know you could play the piano so well, Bulbette! (hugs Bulbette)

Brock: Oh well...I'll try again next show.... (exits)

Ash: As a reward for a great song, let's watch this! (starts the projector)

(CARTOON-Hokey Poke Balls!)

(Back in the theater, Ash, Pikachu, and Bulbasaur are on stage)

Ash: Well, we're about out of time for tonight...

May: Bulbette had fun too!

Bulbette: Bulba!

Ash: Well, Pikachu and I thank you for coming to see us tonight!

Pikachu: Pika pi! (he and Bulbette wave goodbye as the curtain closes-On Our Way reprise plays as the closing credits roll)

Ash: Thank you! Continuing with our tribute to the Kanto Trio... (a picture is unfurled of Ash, Misty, and Brock) Ahem, wrong Trio...(the picture rolls up and unrolls again, this time depicting the correct picture: the Kanto starters) That's better....tonight, we're going to take a look at the second member of this terrific trio; the firey Charmander!

(A spotlight appears at stage right...and a Charmander nervously peeks out onstage)

Charmander: Char?

Ash: Come on out...we're not going to hurt you.

(The Charmander hesitantly walks over to Ash, who cradles him in his arms)

Misty: How cute...reminds me of your first one.

Ash: I know...it amazes me that my first one is now a mighty Charizard...much less that that fire dragon is born as such a tiny lizard.
(rocks the Charmander lovingly in an attempt to calm it down) But I can tell this little guy's nervous...

Misty(to the Charmander): Want to watch a cartoon?

Charmander: Char!

Misty: Okay, then! (starts the projector, making the lights go down)

(CARTOON-Charmander, the Stray Pokemon; part 1)

(Backstage, Misty holds the Charmander still while she gets the drawing board in order. May walks by, interested.

May: What's with the Charmander?

Misty: Ash is doing the show on them, so this one came to participate--that is, if I can keep him still! (struggles to hold Charmander still and organize her supplies at the same time)

Charmander: Char! (He darts over to a red paint tube, dips a claw in the paint, and writes "CHARMANDER WUZ HERE" on the paper. Misty, meanwhile, just grabs another piece of paper as May picks up Charmander and holds him.)

(On Our Way interlude plays as title card appears-'Back to the Drawing Board' with Misty". Misty's face appears in the o in "Board")

(A white screen appears, simulating a blank piece of paper)

Misty(voiceover): All righty, draw Brock here... (a pencil appears and draws Brock on the screen)

Charmander(voiceover): Char! (The pencil draws a green tunic, a matching hat, gloves, white tights, and boots onto Brock)

May(voiceover): Oh you're drawing Link this time?

Brock: Yeah, but how can I be Link without the proper gear?

Misty(voiceover): Just a sec... (The pencil draws the Hylian Shield and Master Sword in Brock's hands)

Brock: Okay, now I need a place to go adventuring...

Misty(voiceover): Can do! (The pencil draws an exotic looking temple background behind Brock)

(Brock starts exploring the temple, but after going down corridor after corridor, he starts getting a little bored.)

Brock: Some adventure this is...I wish I could have a monster to fight... (The pencil draws a Stalfos before Brock)

Misty(voiceover): Here you go...now, fight!

Brock: ::gulp:: (a dustcloud ensues in the temple as the fight begins...the cloud ultimately escapes the paper and spills out into the real world!)

May: Go, Brock!

Charmander: Char mander! (waves a flag with Brock's face on it)

(Brock peeks out of the dust cloud, now in his normal clothes)

Brock: Mind if I borrow this? (grabs the pencil and erases the Stalfos)

Misty: If only the real Link had it that easy... (starts cleaning up)

May: While she's doing that, here's some more of Charmander's story... (starts the projector)

(CARTOON-Charmander, the Stray Pokemon; part 2)

(We return to the theater-Brock is before the piano again)

Brock: Now to do that musical number I never finished... (starts playing "Fur Elise" again...unbeknownst to him, Charmander is snoozing on a particular key, and when Brock presses down on him...)

Charmander: CHAR!!!

Brock: Huh? (plays the passage again, but when he gets to that particular key...)

Charmander: CHAR!!!!

(Perplexed, Brock unknowingly continues poking Charmander, until a CHOMP! is heard)

Brock: YIPE! (winces at his throbbing hand)

Ash: That's what you get for poking a Charmander!

(Charmander closes the piano on Brock's hands, then darts off)

Brock: Why you... (runs after Charmander)

Ash: In lieu of the musical number, here's the rest of Charmander's story... (starts the projector)

(Back in the theater-Ash, Pikachu, and Charmander are onstage)

Ash: Well, we're about out of time for tonight...(Brock tiptoes up to Charmander)

Brock: Look, I'm sorry I poked you, okay? (Charmander thinks about the apology for a moment, then shakes Brock's index finger as approval)

Pikachu: Pika....

Ash: On that note, Pikachu, Charmander, and I want to thank you for coming tonight!

Pikachu: Pika pi! (waves goodbye as the curtain closes; On Our Way reprise begins as the credits roll)

(Cue OP-On Our Way-as the song plays, we see various shots of the Pokemon cast in the backstage area, getting ready for a show: Misty walks past one member of the lighting crew, making her trip and drop her paints, which color some of the notes on Brock's sheet music. He tries to clean the music, only to get walloped by a basketball in the face (thrown by May) Pikachu runs past all of this, down a hallway, and through a door with a star on it marked "Ash". He cries "Pika!" and points at a clock, which is ticking dangerously close to "Show Time!" Ash notices the time on the clock and ducks behind a screen to get ready, when he finishes, he's now decked out in a red top hat (with the same design as his cap) and tails. Ash then runs head on at the camera and makes a flying entrance onto a stage as the song concludes)

Female announcer: And now, it's time for the Ash and Pikachu Show!

(Pikachu climbs onto Ash's shoulder and smiles as the title card flies in from the right, a short clip of "On Our Way" in the background)

(Applause as Ash jogs on the stage and waves to the crowd)

Ash: Thank you! Concluding our look at the Kanto Trio, (a picture unrolls of the Kanto starters) let's meet the water type of the bunch, Squirtle!

(a spotlight appears at stage right, allowing for not one, but two Squirtles, to enter. One of them is slightly smaller than the other. Ash picks up the elder Squirtle while the younger Squirtle decides to gawk at the imaginary audience.)

May(offstage): See all those people, Squirtelle? They came to see you!

Ash: Squirtelle?

May: I thought the name was cute...Misty seems to think so too.

(Suddenly, Squirtelle hears the rustling of paper offstage, and hurries off to investigate.)

May: And there she goes again...

Ash: Curious little girl, isn't she?

May: She's getting to be quite the contest competitor...here's the footage to prove it! ::starts projector::

(CARTOON: Squirtle's Web)

(Backstage, Misty is getting her drawing board in order when she notices Squirtelle admiring her pencils.)

Misty: What is with her fascination with pencils?

May: Beats me... (Squirtelle uses a pencil to draw a berry, which she consumes)

Misty: Okay...now to draw a comic...(Squirtelle climbs on May's shoulder to watch, still eating her berry)

(On Our Way interlude plays as title card appears-'Back to the Drawing Board' with Misty". Misty's face appears in the o in "Board")

(A white screen appears, simulating a blank piece of paper)

Misty(voiceover): Let's draw Brock really quick... (The image of Brock starts to appear on the screen....)

Squirtelle(voiceover): Squirtle! (The pencil adds on Geodude arms, a Hitmonchan's body, a Raichu's feet, and Vulpix tails to Brock's head)

May(voiceover): What IS that?

Misty(voiceover): Not what I wanted to draw! (the pencil erases the various Pokemon parts and draws Brock's real body in its place.) There we go.

Squirtelle(voiceover): Squirtle! (The pencil draws an outlandish racetrack in space before drawing a hovercraft around Brock. Closer examination reveals the hovercraft to be the Blue Falcon)

Brock: When I said I wondered what being in F-Zero was like, I didn't mean I wanted to find out!!! (The hovercraft takes off at blinding speed, squishing Brock. Once he peels himself off the back and settles in the cockpit, he discovers just how easy the craft is to pilot, unaware that the pencil is ahead of him, drawing the track in as he flies)

Squirtelle(voiceover): Squirtle! (the pencil draws a jump in the track...Brock notices the jump up ahead and braces himself as the craft goes flying...only to have him crash into the track with a BLAMMO! Brock emerges from his battered craft, miraculously unharmed)

Brock: Now I know how Captain Falcon feels... ("The End" appears as Brock rubs his head in pain)

(Back in the drawing room, Squirtelle watches as Misty writes "BLAMMO!" into the panel with the crash)

Squirtelle: Squirt-tle! (laughs as Misty finishes the comic. Ash walks in, piqued by Squirtelle's laughing)

Ash: What's so funny?

Misty: I just drew a comic of Brock as a spaceman riding in a hovercraft, and she liked the sound effect I picked for the crash. (starts to clean up as the elder Squirtle joins the giggling Squirtelle in the room)

Ash: While we wait for this gigglebox to calm down, watch this! (starts the projector)

(CARTOON-Here Comes the Squirtle Squad!)

(Squirtelle draws another berry for herself as Ash walks back onstage to find Brock in the process of finishing "Fur Elise". When he finishes, the audience applauds.)

Brock: Thank you! (is about to take a bow when a boogie bass line catches his attention--and it's Squirtelle playing!)

Ash: I'll handle this! (leaps atop the piano bench and jams along with Squirtelle. The audience applauds again.)

Misty: Look at it this way...at least you got that solo done....

Brock: Yeah..but Squirtelle's doing great out there! (a different boogie bass line begins, prompting Brock to lead the clapping)

May: She must've learned from Bulbette...

(Back at the piano, Ash and Squirtelle are still jamming. Pikachu joins in by adding a harmonica part to the piano.)

Brock: While they jam, here's another cartoon... (starts the projector)

(CARTOON-The Fire-ing Squad)

(We join Ash, Squirtelle, and Pikachu in the theater. Squirtle and Pikachu rest on the piano while Ash addresses the audience.)

Ash: We're about out of time for tonight...Thank you for coming...

May: Taking five, Squirtelle?

Squirtelle: Squirtle! (a piano chord is heard)

Ash: Okay, Pikachu...take us out of here!

(Pikachu leads Ash and Squirtelle into a jazzed up version of On Our Way, which can be heard through the closed curtain as the credits roll.)

Brock: Wow...my very own show? I just so happen to have a few songs planned for just such an occasion--and a few friends to help me out. (whistles in the direction of stage right, where various Pokemon appear. A Chikorita steps out to center stage.)

Ash: A Pokemon band?

Brock: Not just a band--they sing too!

Ash: This I have to see... (pulls up a chair as Brock shepherds the Pokemon into a semi-circle position behind the Chikorita)

Brock: Let me introduce everyone here...Saria... (a Bulbasaur waves hello), Ariel...(a Vaporeon waves hello)...Wings... (a Butterfree flies into its place in the semicircle) Phoenix (a Torchic chirps a hello)....Lita...(a Pikachu waves hello)...and Peach. (the Chikorita waves hello, to the audience's applause)

Ash: Nice to meet you all...

Peach: The pleasure's all ours...(brushes her leaf back)

Brock: You guys have a song you want to do?

Peach: Uh, oops...forgot about that...Poketones, huddle! (the Pokemon huddle together, discussing song ideas)

Ash: While they're doing that, let's watch this...(starts the projector)

(CARTOON-The Song of Jigglypuff)

(When the cartoon concludes, the Pokemon are back in their formation again.)

Brock(to Peach): Here's your note...(blows a pitch pipe, Peach hums the note back to show Brock she's in tune.)

Peach: Okay...one, two, three...(she begins singing as the other Pokemon back her up) Sittin' in the mornin sun...

Peach: Oh! Draw us in our rehearsal hall!

Misty(voiceover): All right, describe your rehearsal hall for me...

Peach: Well, it's a simple room...(the pencil draws in four walls), with pretty blue carpet (the aforementaioned carpet appears with a POOF!) and red Poke Balls on it (Poke Balls appear on the carpet with a *ping*). There's a mock stage against the back wall... (The stage appears in the mentioned spot) and Brock directs us facing the stage. (The pencil draws tails and a white wig on Brock)

Brock: No, not THAT kind of conductor...a little less formal... (The pencil erases the wing and tails and draws a suit and a tie onto Brock) Little less... (Misty grumbles in the background as the suit and tie are erased and Brock's classic outfit is drawn on him.) There...perfect.

Misty(voiceover): Any lesser and I'd have you in swim trunks! (draws a music stand with sheet music in front of Brock) Now, rehearse!

Lita: We kinda need our instruments for that...

Misty(voiceover): I'll at least give Brock his guitar... (draws an acoustic guitar sitting on a stand in a corner; Brock takes the instrument, steps on the stage, and starts tuning up) You'll have to tell me what other instruments there are.

Brock: I'll do it... (starts a catchy intro) Old MacDonald had a piano.... (Misty draws a grand piano, which Peach starts playing via dancing on the keys) Old MacDonald had a wife... Misty(voiceover): Okay, I suppose you're wondering why we're here at the drawing board and not out in the theater with Ash...the main reason being that Ash decided to let me host the show tonight. That being said, what sorts of adventures shall we make Brock get into tonight?

(A pencil appears and draws Brock on the screen)

Brock: How about some company? (the pencil draws Peach next to Brock) It's a start, but having Peach here is nice. (smooths Peach's leaf back for her)

Misty(voiceover): Okay, so what kind of adventure do you guys want to go on? I've got the magic pencil to make any adventure you want come to life!

Peach: Any adventure we want, huh? (She thinks for a moment). How about...riding in an airplane? (the pencil draws an airplane sitting on an airstrip, then draws pilot's attire on Brock, and a small flight attendant's outfit on Peach)

Misty(voiceover): You guys are cleared for takeoff. (At this, the propellor on the plane begins to spin. Brock and Peach climb aboard the plane as the pencil draws the runway. Before long, they are airborne.)

(Peach looks down at the sight of the theater below)

Peach: I can see the theater from here!

Brock: Neat, isn't it? (Suddenly, he gets an idea; and starts writing "Pokemon Gotta catch'em all!" in the sky, by the time he finishes the exclamation point, Peach has swirly eyes due to dizzyness)

Peach: Warn me before we do any more looping, okay?

Brock: Relax, I've got everything under control...

(No sooner does he say that, do they fly into a rainstorm.)

Peach: You were saying?

Brock: ::gulp:: (He veers out of the way of a thunderbolt) Quick, make it sunny again! (the pencil obliges and erases the storm clouds.) That's better. (The words "The End" appear over the setting sun as Brock and Peach fly off into the sunset)

(Backstage, Misty puts the finishing touches on the comic. Ash sees the skywriting in one panel and raises an eyebrow, impressed)

Ash: So? How does it feel to be the host for a change?

Misty: It's different, but I do appriciate the fact that you let me host tonight's show...

Ash: Okay then, happy drawing... (heads off to another part of the backstage area as we enter the blank paper again)

(A white screen appears, simulating a blank piece of paper)

(Brock and Peach are redrawn on the screen)

Misty(voiceover): All right, what's your pleasure for your next adventure?

Peach: Nothing that involves looping...

Brock: How about us as sailors? (The pencil draws a Sailor Moon style outfit on Brock, while the first few notes of "Moonlight Densetsu" play in the background) No, no, not THAT kind of sailor! The boat kind of sailor! (The pencil erases the previous costume and draws a captain's outfit, complete with an elaborate rapier; on Brock and a sailor outfit on Peach)

Misty(voiceover): Here's your boat... (the pencil draws a boat and sea backgound) and a few cannons in case you run into pirates....(The pencil draws a few cannons on the side of the boat)

Brock: Not that we're going to run into any pirates... (The pencil draws a pirate ship approaching the boat)

Peach: You and your big mouth!

(an epic sea battle breaks out on the paper, even spilling out into the real world! The noise is enough to send Ash running to see what all the explosions and splashes are.)

Ash: What's all the noise?

Misty: All I did was draw a pirate ship for Brock and Peach to duel...I didn't expect it to make this big of a mess!

Ash: Erase it, quick! (Misty obliges)

(Back in the comic's world, Brock and Peach watch as the pencil erases the pirate ship)

Peach: Thank you, Pencil! (hugs the pencil as the ship sails away, prompting the words "The End" to appear in the sky)

Ash: Good thinking, Misty...that battle was getting the floor wet...not to mention my clothes. (squishes off to the dressing room to dry off)

Misty: I've got time for one more comic...(gets a fresh piece of paper)

(A white screen appears, simulating a blank piece of paper)

(Brock and Peach are redrawn on the screen)

Brock: Next time, don't get the real world so messy...

Misty(voiceover): I'll try...let's send you into space this time! (draws Brock and Peach aboard a spaceship. Peach is enthralled by the concept of zero gravity, and is soon bouncing off the walls)

Peach: Whee! This is fun!

Misty(voiceover): Let me know when you want a planet to explore....

Brock: Just make it with friendly aliens, okay? (some hostile alien ships appear) ::gulp::

Peach: Here we go again...

(a dogfight ensues...Brock manages to shoot down several fighters before plunging into the mother ship's trench)

Peach: Why does this look familiar?

Brock: Trust me, okay? I saw this in a movie once... (After weaving through a barrage of lasers, Brock gets a lucky shot!)

(The ship explodes...but our heroes emerge unharmed!)

Brock: Yeah! Thanks for coming along with us!

Peach: See ya next time! (our heroes jump to light speed and a techno version of "On Our Way" plays as the credits roll, Star Wars style)

(Cue OP-On Our Way-as the song plays, we see various shots of the Pokemon cast in the backstage area, getting ready for a show: Misty walks past one member of the lighting crew, making her trip and drop her paints, which color some of the notes on Brock's sheet music. He tries to clean the music, only to get walloped by a basketball in the face (thrown by May) Pikachu runs past all of this, down a hallway, and through a door with a star on it marked "Ash". He cries "Pika!" and points at a clock, which is ticking dangerously close to "Show Time!" Ash notices the time on the clock and ducks behind a screen to get ready, when he finishes, he's now decked out in a red top hat (with the same design as his cap) and tails. Ash then runs head on at the camera and makes a flying entrance onto a stage as the song concludes)

Female announcer: And now, it's time for the Ash and Pikachu Show!

(Pikachu climbs onto Ash's shoulder and smiles as the title card flies in from the right, a short clip of "On Our Way" in the background)

(Applause as Ash runs onstage to greet the crowd)

Ash: Thank you! Tonight's special guest--

Todd(offstage): Smile!

(A flash comes from stage right, taking Ash by surprise. Todd comes onstage, laughing at the panicked Ash picture)

Ash: At least give me some fair warning before you take my picture, okay?

Todd: Okay, okay...although you do look cute when you're panicked.

Ash: ::sigh:: Anyway, this is Todd...Pokemon photographer extrordinaire! (applause)

(Pikachu peeks onstage, piqued by the applause)

Pikachu: Pika? (He notices Todd onstage) Pikachu!

Todd: Okay! Smile! (Pikachu makes a silly face as the flash goes off)

(Before long, a line of other Pokemon appears on the stage)

Todd: Good thing I packed lots of film...(snaps a Bulbasaur's picture as Ash starts the projector)

(CARTOON-Pokemon Papparazzi!)

(Later, Todd explores the backstage area)

Todd: Nice place Ash picked for the show.... (Suddenly, he sees Misty getting the drawing board ready) Smile! (Misty
smiles as the flash goes off)

Misty: While we're on the subject of pictures...you just gave me an idea...

Todd: I did? (pulls up a chair to watch as Misty goes to work)

(On Our Way interlude plays as title card appears-'Back to the Drawing Board' with Misty". Misty's face appears in the o in "Board")

(A white screen appears, simulating a blank piece of paper)

Misty(voiceover): Okay, draw Brock here... (a pencil appears and draws Brock on the screen)

Todd(voiceover): Won't he get lonesome without a companion?

Misty(voiceover): Okay, you talked me into it... (draws Ariel next to Brock, then draws safari attire on them)

Brock: How do you expect us to go on safari if we don't have anything to get around?

Todd(voiceover): I'll fix that! (The pencil draws a camera on Brock)

Ariel: Like a camera's going to help... (flicks her tail)

Misty(voiceover): Here... (The pencil draws a safari jeep against a background reminiscent of an African savannah)

Brock: Now THAT's more like it! (starts the jeep and invites Ariel aboard, they drive off onto the plains)

(an hour or so of driving later...)

Ariel: Some safari we're on...

Misty: This help? (The pencil draws various Pokemon romping about. Ariel snaps a picture of each one...until the ground
begins to rumble...)

Ariel: Uh oh...

Brock: I have a bad feeling about this... (No sooner does he say that, does a herd of Donphan trample them. The words "The End" appear over the flattened Ariel and Brock)

(Todd laughs as Misty finishes the comic)

Todd: That was hilarious...(giggles some more...until Brock passes him in the hallway) Huh?

Brock: The Poketones are on in a few minutes...you'll love their latest number...

Todd: Singing Pokemon? I've got to see this! (starts onstage until Ash stops him)

Ash: Not yet...you can watch this while you're waiting...(starts projector)

(CARTOON-The Breeding Center Secret)

(The lights come up on Ash seated at the grand piano, the Poketones are nearby in their semicircle. Todd takes a seat by stage left to watch)

Ash: Ready guys?

Peach: You got it!

(a piano intro begins, then Peach sings while the other Poketones back her up)

Don't leave so early this time!
Come stay here and relax with me!

(Harp and flute rendition of "On Our Way" plays in the background as Erika walks onstage and shakes hands with Ash before sitting down in a chair by him.)

Erika: Thank you so much...it's a pleasure to be with you tonight, Ash.

Ash: The pleasure's all ours.

Erika: I'd like to start tonight's conversation with a little observation of mine...although I do not mind facing male trainers in the Gym; the girls are reluctant to let them in...yourself included.

Ash: I know...dressing up as a girl was REALLY embarrassing... (the audience laughs as Ash blushes)

Erika: I know, but one of the girls told me yesterday about one male trainer that was very determined to get inside...he and his Raichu tried everything in their power to get in, but to no avail.

Ash: Like?

Erika: Fire powered skates, climbing in the windows...even disguising themselves as plants! (Ash chuckles at this as Erika
presents Ash with a reel of film) Here's the footage...direct from Kari; who was on camera duty that day.

Ash: Looks interesting...(to the audience) Wanna watch this?

(The audience enthusiastically cheers)

Ash: Okay, then...(loads the film in the projector and starts it)

(CARTOON-No Gym For You!)

(Later, a tour guide is showing Erika around the backstage area)

Guide: ...and here is the studio, where Misty's drawing board is located...it appears that Misty's about ready to go to work.

Misty: Sure am! (grabs a piece of paper as the guide departs. Erika decides to pull up a chair and watch)

(On Our Way interlude plays as title card appears-'Back to the Drawing Board' with Misty". Misty's face appears in the o in "Board")

(A white screen appears, simulating a blank piece of paper)
Misty(voiceover): All right, we'll draw Brock here... (a pencil appears and draws Brock on the screen)
Erika(voiceover): Won't he get lonely all by himself?

Misty(voiceover): Okay, you talked me into it... (the pencil draws Saria next to Brock) And...all the mayhem in your Gym gave me an idea...

Erika(voiceover): It did? What is your idea?

Misty(voiceover): Well...Brock loves this pretty lady... (the pencil draws a girl by Brock and Saria, making Brock gain heart eyes) ...but she's inside a mansion... (the pencil draws a mansion around the girl, leaving Brock dejected) ...and there's a Growlithe guarding the door.... (the pencil draws a Growlithe by the mansion's front door) ...and the Growlithe doesn't like him. (The Growlithe growls and chases after Brock and Saria, until they come to a stop by the mansion gate, breathing heavily).

Erika(voiceover): I see...

Misty: So the problem is: How's Brock going to see his lady without letting the Growlithe know he's there?

Erika(voiceover): A most excellent question.

Brock: (pant pant) How about...(pant pant) using Saria...(wipes brow) to launch me up to the window?

Saria: I can do that!

(A few minutes later, Brock is atop a tree branch that's directly in line with his lady's window, clutching a vine from Saria)

Brock: Here goes! (jumps off the branch) Geronimo!

Saria: Watch out for that--(winces as Brock slides off the window) window...(hears growling close by) Uh oh...

(Pandemonuim ensues as Brock and Saria run from the Growlithe)

(A few minutes later--Brock's standing under the balcony in his Paradaisu attire)

Saria: Here's your music, Senor. (hits 'PLAY' on a CD player)

(intro of waves and calm music)

(music picks up into a samba beat)

Brock: La-la-la, la la la, it is so wonderful!

Ash: No, please, not on national TV! (Brock ignores Ash's pleas as he loads the film in the projector and starts it)

(CARTOON-Make Room For Gloom!; part 1)

(Ash's face is Charizard red when we return backstage)

Ash: I can't believe it...humilated on national TV...

Erika: Calm yourself, Ash...that disguise isn't what I remember the most...

Ash: It's not?

Erika: No...I remember when you rescued my Pokemon from the fire Team Rocket set...and that's what everyone at home needs to see. (loads a reel in the projector)

Ash: Hmmm...(to Brock) Okay, I'll forgive you from showing my girl disguise...just don't show any more of that without asking me first.

Brock: All right...I don't think we have any more footage like that...(disappears in the film vault as we enter the screen)

(We join Ash, Pikachu, and Erika in the theater)

Ash: Well, we're about out of time for tonight...and thanks again, Erika, for joining us.

(Ash is piqued by the giggling, so he checks backstage to see Brock reading a book to his siblings)

Brock(as a girl): "What a fool!" (as himself again) said Allison. (the kids laugh again)

Ash: What'cha reading? (he tries to get a look at the book's cover, but is blocked by the children)

Brock: It's just 'Sideways Stories from Wayside School', Ash...anything wrong with that?

Forest: Brock does all the voices, even the girls!

Terra: It makes the story come alive! (the other kids nod in agreement)

Ash: Well, I just came backstage to tell you that they're here. (the kids look at Ash as if he's nuts.) I'm not fooling you, the entire Wayside gang is here!

Forest: Really? (he leads the charge to the wings, where sure enough, they see Mrs. Jewels and the class milling about onstage. Utter pandemonium ensues as Brock's siblings scramble to talk to their favorite book's characters)

Ash: While they're doing that, let's watch this... (he starts over towards the projector, just before Dameon peeks out from the mass of kids)

Dameon: Just don't let it be about Squirtles. (Brock's siblings laugh at this, Ash just rolls his eyes and starts the projector)

(CARTOON-Dameon's Movie Madness)

(Ash leads the kids backstage, where Misty is preparing the drawing board. Forest runs on ahead.)

Forest: Misty! You're not going to believe this! The characters from my favorite book came to visit us!

Misty: You're kidding me...Wayside School only exists in the...(looks to see the whole class watching her.) realm...of...fiction...

Forest: Now do you believe me?

Misty: I do now! (Everyone watches as Misty goes to work.)

(On Our Way interlude plays as title card appears-'Back to the Drawing Board' with Misty". Misty's face appears in the o in "Board")

(A white screen appears, simulating a blank piece of paper)

Misty(voiceover): Okay...to draw a comic, you first need a character to undergo the adventures you draw. (the pencil draws Brock on the screen)

Dana(voiceover): It'll be a little boring with just one character...

Misty(voiceover): I'll fix that. (draws Lita next to Brock) Now, what sort of adventures shall we make Brock go on?

Jason(voiceover): How about he rescues a princess? (the pencil draws Brock in a suit of armor staring down a Dragonite. The Dragonite proceeds to Hyper Beam Brock to a crisp.)

(Misty erases the scene and redraws Brock in his normal form)

Allison(voiceover): How about he's in a jungle? (the pencil draws in a jungle scene, then draws an Indiana Jones-esque outfit on Brock. He cracks a whip for effect)

Calvin(voiceover): No! He's a detective, solving a mystery! (the pencil draws a dark city street over the jungle, then draws a detective outfit on Brock)

Brock: DECIDE!!!!

Mrs. Jewels(voiceover): Class! Let Misty draw what she wants to, please!

Misty(voiceover): Thanks...anyway...for our purposes, let's say Brock's going to deliver you guys a present. (The dark city street is erased, then Brock's normal clothes are drawn on him. Next, a wrapped present appears next to him) As you all know, the only way to go at Wayside School is up! (Brock looks up at a giant starcase and begins climbing the stairs.

(after a while, Brock is still climbing, but he's getting tired)

Brock: Now I know how Louis feels! (The words "The End" appear as Brock continues upward)

(The kids watch as Misty cleans up her work area. At the same time, Mrs. Jewels does a headcount to see if all the kids are present before they continue the backstage tour)

Mrs. Jewels: That's odd...we're missing Jenny and Joy...

Misty: I think they're fixing to get a song...(gestures to Brock onstage, singing as Jenny and Joy listen intently)

[piano chord]

Brock: A one woman man's what I wanna be....

[another piano chord] Stay by her side SO faithfully...

[and another piano chord] I would if I could, but it's just no good!

[one more piano chord] Cause there's two perfect girls for me-hee...
(laughs) All right! (starts playing guitar as the music picks up)

(applause) A word of caution: We're not sure if all the bugs are worked out yet, so what better way to find out than to test it out on the show? (As Ash is talking, Brock comes onstage and sees the Transporter)

Brock: Nice computer, Ash...I wonder if you can surf the Web on this thing? (starts typing random numbers and letters)

Ash: Brock, don't!

Transporter: Coordinates entered: 062390 Destination: Mobius. (A swirling blue portal appears between the Transporter's two antennae, Misty rushes onstage to see what's going on)

Misty: Brock, what did you do?

Brock: All I did was type some numbers into the computer here... (gestures to the Transporter, whose portal is growing larger)

Ash: That's no ordinary computer, that's our new Trans-World Transporter! Who knows what monster you probably summoned here after you typed in that mess?

Transporter: Contact with Mobius established...Now calling Team Sonic into this world...

Misty: Mobius...Team Sonic...did Brock just summon Sonic the Hedgehog here?

Ash: Oddly enough...I remember traveling with them and one of the other teams when a portal between here and Mobius opened on the Battle Frontier...

(Sure enough, not only does Sonic come flying onto the stage, but Tails and Knuckles too!)

Sonic: Whoa...rough landing... (he groggily glances around the theater) Funny...why are all these people here? But more importantly, where are we?

Knuckles: Hey...isn't this the Pokemon world? I vaguely remember coming here when Robotnik smuggled the Chaos Emeralds into this world....

Tails: Yeah! I can see Ash here! (frantically points at Ash)

Ash: At any rate, um...welcome to the Ash and Pikachu Show, you guys. (applause. Team Sonic takes a bow for the audience, just as May appears with a tray full of chili dogs)

Ash: And some entertainment... (starts the projector)

(CARTOON-Bokkun's Apple Pie)

(Backstage, Misty just prepares the drawing board as Team Sonic stuffs their faces.)

Misty: What is their fascination with chili dogs?

Ash: I'll go tell Brock to make some more while you draw...(heads offstage as Misty goes to work)

(On Our Way interlude plays as title card appears-'Back to the Drawing Board' with Misty". Misty's face appears in the o in "Board")

(A white screen appears, simulating a blank piece of paper)

Misty(voiceover): Okay, you three...any suggestions for a comic here? (a pencil draws Brock on the screen)

Sonic(voiceover): How about we give Don Brocko here a little dose of my speed? (Brock's shoes glow blue as Sonic's power flows into them)

Brock: Huh? (looks down at his glowing shoes) I feel a whole lot stronger in my feet! (He suddenly takes off at Sonic speed--for about three seconds.)

Knuckles(voiceover): Need some help? (the pencil draws a spatula, which peels Brock off the rock he crashed into. Brock has tiny Sonics spinning around his head)

Tails: I wanna draw some too! (The pencil draws a Mobian landscape as a background) Go to it, Mr. Squinty!

Brock(thinking): I've never been called THAT before...but it's not worth strangling the little guy over. (He takes off at Sonic speed as the music from the Chemical Plant Zone plays in the background.)

Tails: I'll draw this...(the pencil draws a fork in the road) and this...(the pencil draws a loop) and this...(draws another rock, which Brock crashes into. The words "The End" are imprinted in the rock)

(Backstage, Misty laughs as Tails hovers over the drawing board, finishing the comic)

Misty: I will admit, Tails, you draw beautifully!

Ash: Better hurry, it's time for Brock to sing!

Sonic: I've got the perfect song for the occassion! Maestro...

(spotlights come up on Brock and the house band)

Brock: Whoo!
All right!

(Cue OP-On Our Way-as the song plays, we see various shots of the Pokemon cast in the backstage area, getting ready for a show: Misty walks past one member of the lighting crew, making her trip and drop her paints, which color some of the notes on Brock's sheet music. He tries to clean the music, only to get walloped by a basketball in the face (thrown by May) Pikachu runs past all of this, down a hallway, and through a door with a star on it marked "Ash". He cries "Pika!" and points at a clock, which is ticking dangerously close to "Show Time!" Ash notices the time on the clock and ducks behind a screen to get ready, when he finishes, he's now decked out in a red top hat (with the same design as his cap) and tails. Ash then runs head on at the camera and makes a flying entrance onto a stage as the song concludes)

Female announcer: And now, it's time for the Ash and Pikachu Show!

(Pikachu climbs onto Ash's shoulder and smiles as the title card flies in from the right, a short clip of "On Our Way" in the background)

(We join Ash on the stage as he tunes an acoustic guitar. Pikachu is nearby, clutching a harmonica)

Ash: Oh, hi! I didn't see you there! Tonight we're going to do another musical episode, so Pikachu decided he wanted to play a duet with me. (applause as Ash tunes some more) You ready, Pikachu?

Pikachu: Chu! (puts on a small black hat and sunglasses)

(a rousing harmonica and guitar duet fills the air, prompting Misty to peek onstage and listen)

Misty: Woo! Go, Pikachu! (leads the clapping while Ash breaks off to solo, but before Pikachu can solo, a loud, low pitched note makes the theater rattle.) What was that?

Ash: Beats me....(to Pikachu) Let's start your solo again... (plays the conclusion of his solo, but the same loud note distracts Pikachu)

Pikachu: Pika pika chu? (pockets his harmonica)

Misty: I'll go check and see what that noise is...(disappears offstage for a moment)

Pikachu: Cha... (he slumps to the ground, bored)

Ash: I know, Pikachu...maybe this cartoon wil cheer you up...(starts the projector)

(CARTOON-I'm Your Venusaur!)

(We join Ash and Pikachu on the stage, Pikachu is practicing "On Our Way" on his harmonica, when the theater rattles again.)

Pikachu: Pika!

Ash: I thought Misty was checking what that noise was...

(At that moment, a "KA-CHUNK!" is heard, followed by cries of "Help! Get me out of here!" Misty returns to the stage with a smug look on her face.)

Misty: That ought to keep Brock busy for a while!

Ash: What will?

Misty: Getting the tuba he was playing off of him after I chunked it over his head!

(Pikachu pictures a mental image of Brock stuck in a tuba...making him double over in laughter!)

Ash: ::sigh:: Now you have Pikachu all wound up...

Misty: Come on, Pikachu...you can serenade me while I draw. (starts
backstage, Pikachu in tow)

(A white screen appears, simulating a blank piece of paper)

Misty: Okay...how do you suppose Brock even found a tuba, anyway? (the pencil draws Brock on the screen)

Pikachu(voiceover): Pika chu pika... (the pencil draws a huge pile of musical instruments by Brock) Pipika pika chu...(Brock starts digging through the pile, making various instruments go flying in different directions) pi pika pi chuka. (Brock surfaces from the pile holding a tuba over his head, while the Zelda 'got item' fanfare plays)

Misty(voiceover): Hmm... (the pencil draws Brock in a cheesy marching band uniform standing on a football field. Pikachu giggles in the background) You think he looks silly performing at halftime? (the band starts marching and playing a medley of Pokemon songs)

Pikachu: Pika... (the band starts forming such shapes as a Poke Ball, a Beautifly, and Ash's hat...but before Brock can play anything else, he's buried in football players, prompting the cheerleaders to cheer "The End!"

(A "THACK!" is heard as Misty finishes drawing)

Ash(offscreen): You're not getting me to play one even if you paid me to do it!

Brock(offscreen): Please?

Ash(offscreen): No.

Brock(offscreen): Please?

Ash(offscreen): No.

Brock(offscreen): Please??

Ash(offscreen): No....

Brock(offscreen): Please?

Ash(offscreen): NO!!!! (Misty rushes onstage to see Brock and Ash arguing)

Misty: What's going on?

Ash: Brock wants me to play tuba with him! (gestures to a second tuba, plus a smaller tuba, nearby)

Pikachu: Pi pika... (starts projector as Ash, Misty, and Brock continue fighting)

(CARTOON-My Father's Song)

(We return to the stage to see the Trio now holding the tubas from earlier. May peeks onstage and giggles)

Ash: Don't ask, okay?

May: I bet you guys are going to sound like the sewage duct! (laughs some more)

Ash(to Brock): You owe me 1000 credits when we're done...

(The Trio proceeds to play a surprisingly good sounding rendition of the "Sabre Dance". May's eye's widen, impressed, as the audience applauds)

Brock: Your 1000 credits. (offers a 1000 credit bill to Ash)

Ash: Gee, that wasn't so bad...(pockets the credits) In fact, let's play some more!

(The lights go down and the credits roll as a tuba version of "On Our Way" plays)

May: I still don't get why she does this... (attempts to shoo Beautifly off her head, but Beautifly returns after a few seconds)

Ash: Maybe she likes the view up there? (Beautifly just flits her wings in approval. Suddenly, her interest is piqued as Brock dances onstage, apparantly practicing a routine)

Brock: ...Ai-yai-yai, I'm your little Beautifly, Green, black, and blue; make the colors in the sky. (claps) Ai-yai-yai, I'm your little Beautifly, green black, and blue, make the colors in the sky. (claps) Ai-yai-yai, ai-yai-yai, ai-yai-yai, where's my samurai? (claps)

Ash: Brock, what are you doing?

Brock: Practicing tonight's musical number, why? (resumes dancing) Ai-yai-yai, ai-yai-yai, ai-yai-yai, where's my samurai? (claps. Ash shakes his head and starts the projector)

(CARTOON-All Things Bright and Beautifly!)

(Meanwhile, Beautifly explores backstage, interested in all the props and costumes. Just as she rounds the corner, she sees Misty preparing the drawing board)

Beautifly: Beauuu-tifly! (She snatches a pencil in her wings and draws a flower, which she begins sipping the nectar from)

Misty: Huh? Oh, hi there, Beautifly....

May: There you are! (Beautifly abandons the flower and perches on May's head)

Misty: Behave and I'll draw you all the flowers you want! (Beautifly just watches as Misty goes to work)

(A white screen appears, simulating a blank piece of paper)

(Brock walks out onto the screen)

Brock: Okay, Misty...what have you got up your sleeve tonight?

May(voiceover): Oh! Draw him as a Beautifly! (the pencil obliges and draws Brock in a Beautifly costume. Upon flapping his arms a few times, Brock discovers he CAN fly in the costume)

Misty(voiceover): Here's a sunny day and some flowers for you. (the pencil draws a flowery field, which look larger to Brock because he IS the size of a Beautifly)

Brock: So...I'm the size of a Beautifly..let's go enjoy a nectar break. (he flies over to a red flower and starts sipping on the nectar inside...)

Misty(voiceover): Don't get too comfortable, my little Beautifly. (Brock looks up to see a giant Pidgey looking down at him)

Brock: ::gulp:: (he darts away, the Pidgey in hot pursuit! He ultimately ends up crashing into a Spinarak web, rebounding him back towards the flowers. The Spinarak sighs, annoyed at the broken web)

May(voiceover): Brock, one, Pidgey, zero...(Brock flies off, making the words "The End" appear in the clouds)

(Beautifly draws another flower as Misty cleans up)

May: I'm going to go see if Brock's still doing that weird dance...(peeks
onstage)

(music begins and Brock appears in a spotlight)

(opens the soda and prepares to take a drink, until...)

Brock(offstage): Surf's up! (hurries onstage and makes a flying leap into the pool, splashing Ash in the process)

Ash: Oh great...

Brock: Come on in, the water's fine! (starts swimming laps around the pool)

Ash: In a minute, all right? (starts backstage, leaving wet footprints as he walks. Misty appears in her bikini, clutching a Master Ball beachball)

Misty: What happened to you, Ash?

Ash: Brock splashed me, that's what...Could you start the cartoon while I dry off?

Misty: Okay! (starts the projector as she climbs in the water)

(CARTOON-The Pi-Kahuna!)

(We return to the pool as we focus on Misty in her beach chair, watching Brock and May play with the Master Ball beachball in the pool. Pikachu climbs on the table, insterested in the sketchbook lying by Misty's drink)

Pikachu: Pika?

Misty: What, you want me to draw a comic? (reaches for the sketchbook and a pencil) I don't suppose I could draw while I dry off. (goes to work as Pikachu watches)

(On Our Way interlude plays as title card appears-'Back to the Drawing Board' with Misty". Misty's face appears in the o in "Board")

(A white screen appears, simulating a blank piece of paper)

(Brock is drawn on the screen in his normal clothes)

Brock: Okay, pencil...what are you going to draw this time?

Misty(voiceover): How'd you like to go diving for buried treasure? (the pencil draws Brock on a boat, looking down into the water.)

Brock: Well...I can't hold my breath for very long, so how can I find treasure if I'm constantly coming up for air?

Misty(voiceover): Oops...(the pencil draws scuba gear on Brock.) Good luck! (Brock gives Misty an 'OK' sign, then dives under)

(Some Goldeen watch as Brock swims along, scouring the ocean floor for any treasure. He suddenly spots a few pearls buried in the sand, so he swims over and picks them up)

Misty(voiceover): Careful, my dear diver. ("Jaws" theme plays in the background as some Sharpedos approach. Brock suddenly realizes what's coming and frantically swims to the surface, all the while defending his pearls from the Sharpedos.)

(After surfacing, he scarmbles aboard the boat as the Sharpedos dive back in the water. Once he's sure the Sharpedos are gone, Brock removes the scuba gear and counts all his pearls)

Brock: At least (pant pant) I got...(pant pant)...the pearls...(collapses in a chair and groans. We see that the pearls spell "The End")

(Back by the pool, Pikachu watches as Misty finishes the comic, then puts the sketchbook back on the table.)

Misty: There...done. (she notices that Brock and May are drying off by the pool) Now what shall we do?

May: Watch this cartoon, maybe? (starts the projector as she sips her drink)

(CARTOON-"Pikachu's Summer Vacation", part 1)

(We return to the theater as Ash returns to his chair, now dried off)

Ash: Ah...all dried off...(sips his drink, until Pikachu decides to turn the waves on in the pool.)

Pikachu: Pika, Pikapi! ("Wipeout" plays in the background as Pikachu proceeds to surf for the audience)

Ash: Wow!

Brock: Nice surfing!

May: Yeah! Hang ten, Pikachu!

(The audience cheers as Pikachu rides the wave all the way in, prompting the applause of the audience)

Pikachu: Pi-ka! (more applause)

Ash: Wow! Very good, Pikachu! (Pikachu takes a bow before bounding to the projector)

Pikachu: Pi pika, chu pi pika pi pikachu... (loads a reel in the projector and starts it, climbing on Ash's shoulder to watch)

Like how we decorated the stage? (Gestures to the stage, which is decorated to resemble a living room, complete with a Christmas tree and a fireplace, with stockings for the cast hanging up over it. The audience cheers, just as Pikachu appears with a plate of Christmas cookies.)

Pikachu: Pika? (offers the plate to Ash, but not before he bites into a Stantler cookie)

Ash: Aww, how nice of you, Pikachu.... (He eats an angel cookie before setting the plate aside)

Brock(offstage): If you like those, I can make more!

Ash: Okay! (stretches and reaches for an acoustic guitar lying by his chair) Time for me to practice... (Pikachu starts the projector as Ash tunes up)

(CARTOON-Stantler's Little Helpers!")

(Backstage, Misty listens as Ash plays "What Child is This?" on the stage, preparing her drawing board all the while. May sits in the wings with Torchic, listening as well.)

May: He sounds beautiful out there, eh Misty?

Misty: Yeah...those guitar lessons Brock's been giving him are paying off...

(Torchic flits over to observe what Misty's doing)

Torchic: Tor chic?

Misty: You want me to draw you something? All right, I'll draw a comic of my personal favorite Christmas carol. (goes to work as Torchic flits up to watch)

Brock: Um, Misty? What IS your favorite Christmas carol, anyway?

Misty(voicover): This one! (sings) On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me; a Pikachu for my journey! (the pencil draws Lita next to Brock)

Brock: (gulp) I think I know where this is going....

Misty(voiceover): On the second day of Christmas, my true love gave to me; two of Ash's hats, (Both of Ash's hats fall to the floor before Brock; he picks up the classic one and puts it on, admiring himself in a mirror) and a Pikachu for my journey! (Lita puts on the AG hat and admires herself)

Brock: Do I look good? (strikes a pose)

Misty(voiceover): On the third day of Christmas, my true love gave to me; Three Pokeblocks, (three red Pokeblocks fall to the ground before Brock) two of Ash's hats, (the classic and AG hats appear before Brock again, he hangs them both on a hat stand) and a Pikachu for my journey!

Brock: Uh, Misty, I hate to interrupt, but ths is going to take a while, and we really need to get on with the show...

Misty(voicover): You're right...so why not draw you caroling instead? (the pencil draws a snowy town square, then draws winter clothes on Lita and Brock before giving them carol books)

Brock: (blows a pitch pipe) La--(coughs a bit, then blows the pipe pipe again) La...(singing very flat and off key) What child is this, who laid to--(a snowball slams Brock in the face, making the words "The End" appear in the snow)

(Torchic giggles as Misty draws the last scene)

May: Oh come on, Brock doesn't sing that bad...

Misty: I know that...(snatches another Christmas cookie as she cleans up)

(Back onstage, Pikachu is helping Ash decorate the Christmas tree)

Ash: Okay, Pikachu, take the balls and the lights and hang them on the tree.

Pikachu: Pika pi! (takes the box of lights and ornaments and hurridly decorates the tree...or so we think)

Ash: You missed... (We see Ash has the lights, ornaments, and tinsel wrapped around HIM)

Pikachu: (sweatdrop) Pi... (takes the decor off of Ash and puts it on the tree. Misty stands nearby, at the projector)

Misty: Who's up for some home movies? (starts the projector)

(CARTOON-"Pikachu's Winter Vacation", part 1)

(Back onstage, Ash is checking the lights on the tree)

Ash: This one works....this one works...this one works...

Brock: Join us now, in our not-so-traditional holiday search...

Misty: Which is?

Brock: Finding the one bulb in the string of five zillion that makes all the others go out.

(No sooner does Brock say that, is a light zap is heard that makes all the lights go out, including the lights in the theater)

Misty(voiceover): He found it...

Ash: Thank goodness the projector has battery backup! (Ash(we only see his eyes) makes his way over to the projector and starts it)

(CARTOON-"Pikachu's Winter Vacation", part 2)

(After a few seconds of blackness, the lights come back on, and we see Ash seated on the couch with his guitar. Pikachu is nearby, admiring the now decorated tree)

Ash: Boy, it feels good to have the lights back on...and we're about out of time for tonight.

Pikachu: Pi...

Ash: Yeah, I know...so here's our holiday wish for you and yours...::guitar chord::

And so, I'm offering this simple phrase...
To kids from one to ninety-two...

Although, it's been said, many times, many ways...
Merry Christmas...to you! (As Ash plays the last chord, the scene fades out to show the words "Season's Greetings" in an ornate script against a black screen. The credits roll in silence)

ANP [HASHTAG]#016[/HASHTAG]: Storm the Gale of Darkness!

(Cue OP-On Our Way-as the song plays, we see various shots of the Pokemon cast in the backstage area, getting ready for a show: Misty walks past one member of the lighting crew, making her trip and drop her paints, which color some of the notes on Brock's sheet music. He tries to clean the music, only to get walloped by a basketball in the face (thrown by May) Pikachu runs past all of this, down a hallway, and through a door with a star on it marked "Ash". He cries "Pika!" and points at a clock, which is ticking dangerously close to "Show Time!" Ash notices the time on the clock and ducks behind a screen to get ready, when he finishes, he's now decked out in a red top hat (with the same design as his cap) and tails. Ash then runs head on at the camera and makes a flying entrance onto a stage as the song concludes)

Female announcer: And now, it's time for the Ash and Pikachu Show!

(Pikachu climbs onto Ash's shoulder and smiles as the title card flies in from the right, a short clip of "On Our Way" in the background)

(Ash jogs onstage to greet the crowd)

Ash: Thank you! Tonight we want to feature a couple of trainers from the mysterious land of Orre...that saved it from becoming breeding grounds for Shadow Pokemon once again. (a picture of Shadow Lugia unfurls next to Ash, prompting some curious murmurs from the audience.) Rather than me telling you about their adventure, why not get the story from the Ponyta's mouth? So, join me in welcoming Michael and Jovi to the stage. (leads the applause as Michael, his Eevee and Jovi come onstage and sit down in a couple of chairs arranged in a semicircle.)

Jovi: Jovi is honored to be in the presence of her favorite TV star. (pets Eevee as she settles in her chair. Eevee jumps on Michael's lap)

Ash: Really?

Micheal: Yeah! It has the top rating on every channel; and EVERYONE and their Eevee watches it, even the reruns!

Eevee: Eev!

Ash: Is that so?

Jovi: Jovi has a lot of your merchandise...hats, (models her own AG hat), DVDs, (proudly displays a DVD; the cover of which reads "The Best of The Ash and Pikachu Show, Vol. 1"), plushie toys... (hugs a mini Ash plushie)

Ash: I get the idea....so how hard is it to snag Shadow Pokémon, anyway?

Michael: Well, it depends on what kind of Pokémon it is, if it is easy to catch in the wild it is easy to snag. On the other hand, if the Shadow Pokémon is Legendary; it's really hard to snag.

Ash: And what did you use to snag the Shadow Lugia?

Michael: A Master Ball, natch. (mild laughter)

Ash: Okay, Jovi; it's your turn for a few questions...why do you like to bother Dr. Kaminko?

Jovi: Bother? Jovi thinks Jovi is just keeping Dr. Kaminko company. Also, Jovi likes to see what "useful" inventions Dr. Kaminko comes up with.

Ash: I see...dosen't that jumpy Chobin think you are a burglar? (a picture of the creature unfurls next to Ash)

Jovi: No, Chobin knows Jovi and lets Jovi in.

Ash: Okay Michael, back to you...I hear there is a new Pokémon in Orre, what is it?

Michael: It's a baby tree pokémon, it's called Bonsly. (he is about to elaborate on Bonsly when an odd thumping is heard backstage) What's that?

Ash: Beats me...anyway, is it true that wild pokémon are back in Orre?

Michael: Yes, it is true, but they are shy. The only place to reach them are Pokéspots, using Pokésnacks.

(Before Michael can elaborate on this, the beginning to "Beautifly" is heard...and we see Brock is dressed in a Beautifly costume!)

Ash: What in the...

Brock: Ai-yai-yai,
Ai-yai-yai,
Ai-yai-yai,
Where's my samurai?

(music picks up as Brock starts to dance)

Brock: I've been searching for a man,
All across Japan,
Just to find, to find my samurai...
Someone who is strong, and just a little shy,
Yes I need, I need my samurai...

Ai-yai-yai, I'm your little Beautifly!
Green, black, and blue; making colors in the sky!
Ai-yai-yai, I'm your little Beautifly!

Ash: Somebody cue the cartoon while I go get Misty...(Eevee hops up to the projector and starts it)

(CARTOON-"The Mystery is History!")

(Backstage-Michael and Jovi watch while Misty sets up the drawing board)

Jovi: Jovi finds it rude that Brock interrupted Jovi's interview with Ash.

Misty: Misty finds Brock's outbursts of song annoying...which makes him perfect comic fodder.

Michael: A comic, huh? (Eevee climbs on the drawing board to watch as Misty goes to work)

(On Our Way interlude plays as title card appears-'Back to the Drawing Board' with Misty". Misty's face appears in the o in "Board")

(A white screen appears, simulating a blank piece of paper)

(Brock is drawn on the screen in his normal clothes)

Misty(voiceover): Okay, gang...we'll make this comic's plot simple: Brock is thirsty and wants a drink. (the pencil draws a bottle of soda nearby Brock.) Only problem is: The soda inside made the cap stick to the bottle--so how is Brock going to get the soda open so he can quench his thirst?

Jovi(voiceover): Jovi knows Brock won't get it open by just twisting the cap like you're supposed to do. (Brock pulls at the cap with all his might, but the cap dosn't budge)

Michael(voiceover): Why not try a bottle opener? (the pencil draws a bottle opener. Brock tries to use it, but the cap is too large)

Jovi(voiceover): Jovi suggests using a pair of pliers. (the pencil draws a pair of pliers...but that doesn't work, either)

Michael(voiceover): Okay, time for the heavy artillery... (the pencil draws a jackhammer. When Brock attempts to use it, he winds up going though the floor instead!)

Jovi(voiceover): Or Brock could always shake the bottle and hope the fizz pops the cap off. (a lightbulb appears over Brock's head; after turning the lightbulb off, he shakes the soda bottle several times, which makes the cap pop off, spraying soda everywhere. Brock manages to catch some in a cup, which he drinks. The fizz in Brock's glass spells "The End"

(Backstage, Ash looks over at Misty's comic as she draws the last scene)

Ash: Now I'm thirsty...(he walks off towards a drink machine and inserts some coins)

(A few minutes later, Ash returns to the projector room with a drink)

Ash: Here's a cartoon for you guys while I enjoy my drink. (starts the projector and opens the soda can)

(CARTOON-"A Parent Trapped!")

(We join Ash, Michael, and Jovi onstage)

Ash: And now, here's a song from Brock and the band...(the spotlights come up on Brock and the house band)

Jovi: A song...Jovi likes Brock's singing...

Michael: Me too!

Brock: Maestro...

::guitar intro::

Brock: Hear the sounds of the sea, and the colors will change

(We rejoin Ash, Michael, Jovi, Eevee, and Pikachu on the stage)

Ash: Well, we're about out of time.

Jovi: Jovi enjoyed being on the show! Jovi can't wait to see how everyone at home will react when they see us on TV!

Eevee: Vee!

Ash: Thank you both for coming...we'll see you next time!

Pikachu: Pika! (waves goodbye as the curtain closes. "On Our Way" reprise plays as the credits roll)

(the audience cheers as a spotlight appears at center stage...but no Ash. After a few tense seconds, a blue puff of smoke is seen, revealing Ash clad in his movie 8 costume, causing some curious murmurs to drift through the audience)

Ash: How's that for a flashy entrance? (applause) You're probably wondering why I look like I just stepped out of a Final Fantasy game...

(Ash is cut off by the Final Fantasy victory fanfare)

Ash(sarcastically): Ha, ha, I'm very amused. (laughter)

Misty: The sound crew's in a weird mood tonight...

Ash: I saw...anyway, tonight we want to focus on those very special Pokemon out there--the Legendaries. (a picture of Mew unfurls next to Ash)

Misty: Well, hurry and cast the spell for the first cartoon, Mr. Black Mage.

Ash: Okay...(he focuses his thoughts into his hands, forming a white light ball) Magical light, entertain this audience! Flicker! (at this, Ash aims the light ball at the screen, making it flicker like a projector. The screen goes black.

(CARTOON-"Entei At Your Own Risk!")

(Backstage-Misty is prepping the drawing board while May watches from nearby)

Misty: Ash makes a rather dashing black mage, if I say so myself...

May: I know, Rukario taught me white magic, Max learned time magic, and Brock learned summoning magic... (Misty listens intently as May recants her side of movie 8)

(Hours later, May concludes her tale)

May: ...and that's how Rukario taught us magic.

Misty: That's cool....and while I'm on the subject of Legendaries...(goes to work)

(On Our Way interlude plays as title card appears-'Back to the Drawing Board' with Misty". Misty's face appears in the o in "Board")

(A white screen appears, simulating a blank piece of paper)

(Brock is drawn on the screen in his normal clothes)

Misty(voiceover): How'd you like to have an encounter with a Legendary?

(the pencil draws a safari background, followed by a Raikou drinking from a water hole)

Brock: Nice Beastie... (The Raikou growls as Brock approaches) All right, I'm leaving! (retreats behind a tree as the Raikou resumes his drink)

Misty(voiceover): I challenge you to ride the Raikou! (the pencil draws a saddle blanket in Brock's hands)

Brock: Ride a Legendary Beast like a Ponyta? Impossible!

Misty(voiceover): Not in my world it isn't! Now, go ride him!

(Brock swallows hard as he slips the blanket on Raikou. Raikou purrs a bit--until he feels the weight of a human on his back. He roars and rears up, sending Brock flying into the water with a splash)

Misty(voiceover): Towel? (the pencil draws a towel on the ground)

Brock: Yes, thanks. (he takes the towel and dries off)

(We cut to the site of a tree-Brock lays a piece of meat under the tree, then climbs up to see if Raikou approaches)

(After a few minutes, Raikou does approach and nibbles on the meat--until he feels the weight of a human on him. Brock is sent flying into the water hole again, leaving him even more soaked)

Brock: Can I have another towel? (the pencil obliges) Thanks.

(Meanwhile Brock is back in the tree, waiting for Raikou to pass by. As Raikou runs under a low branch, Brock eases himself aboard the Beast. He's about to settle in and enjoy the ride--until he realizes he's headed for the water again!)

Misty: Need another towel?

Brock: Come to think of it, the water feels good...but at least I rode Raikou!

(he dives underwater, the resulting ripples spell "The End)

(We return to the theater, where Ash is preparing the projector for the next cartoon)

Ash: And now, for our next cartoon...

(Ash is cut off by a loud guitar strum. He whirls around to see Brock about to die of laughter)

Misty(offstage): I better not be hearing any music out there!

Brock(under his breath): I don't care what Misty don't allow, gonna play my guitar anyhow! (awkward silence, then Brock smiles coyly as he ponders what he said) SAY... (launches into a rousing intro)

Ash: Oh brother...

Brock: Misty don't allow no guitar playing here... (plays a bit)
Misty don't allow no guitar playing here... (plays a bit)
I don't care what Misty don't allow, gonna play my guitar anyhow!
Misty don't allow no guitar playing here!... (May peeks onstage, piqued by the noise)

May: What's going on?

Ash: Don't ask... (sighs as Brock continues, this time with a whistle)

Brock: Misty don't allow no whistle playing here... (plays a bit)
Misty don't allow no whistle playing here... (plays a bit)
I don't care what Misty don't allow, gonna play my whistle anyhow!
Misty don't allow no whistle playing here!...

(Frustrated, Ash covers his ears and starts toward the projector room. Brock just continues his song, this time with a fiddle)

Brock: Misty don't allow no fiddle playing here... (plays a bit)
Misty don't allow no fiddle playing here... (plays a bit)
I don't care what Misty don't allow, gonna play my fiddle anyhow!
Misty don't allow no fiddle playing here!...

(May is waiting for Ash in the projector room)

May: Any ideas on how to quiet him?

Ash: I have just the spell... (green smoke forms in his hands) Know the world of silence! Mute! (a flash of green light flies from Ash's hands and hits Brock, muting his song. He still continues to mouth the words and play various instruments, but there's no sound.)

May: That should do it! Here's the cartoon Ash promised...(starts the projector)

(CARTOON-"For Ho'oh the Bells Toll!")

(We rejoin Ash and Pikachu onstage. Misty is nearby, holding the still muted Brock down so he can't sing nor play his guitar)

Ash: Think I should use Esuna yet?

Misty: Go ahead, I have him held down so he can't sing.

Ash: Heavenly wind, carry us to the fountain of power! Esuna!

(a blue light surrounds Brock, unmuting him. Misty is quick to cover his mouth before he can sing.)

Misty: Quick! Say goodbye before he can break free!

Ash: Okay...thanks for coming, and see ya next time!

Pikachu: Pika! (quickly waves goodbye as the curtain closes. A sped up version of "On Our Way" plays as the credits roll twice as fast, as if in a hurry to finish. However, we see some movement behind the curtain after all the credits roll...and Brock steps out on the stage!)

Brock: Finally got away from Misty! Now, where was I...

(slow guitar chord)

Brock: Misty don't allow no guitar playing here... (plays a bit)
Misty don't allow no guitar playing here... (plays a bit)
I don't care what Misty don't allow, gonna play my guitar anyhow!
Misty don't allow no guitar playing here!... (the cane suddenly appears and yanks Brock offstage, guitar and all; finally bringing the show to an end.)
