Hopefully this will lessen copy threads. Ask any question you have instead of making a new thread.
KEEP THIS ACTIVE!

Some examples of questions you may ask here include:

1. What are the names of 5th gen?(Black and White)
2. New Type? Light Type?(maybe)
3. Is the 5th gen on the 3DS?(no)
4. When is the next "Pokémon Sunday"/"Corocoro"?(TBD)
5. What is revealed so far?(ask yourself)
6. What are the starters?(we don't know)
7. Will there be (insert anything here) in the game?
8. Character or Pokémon Customization?
9. Do you like (insert whatever here)?
10. Do you hate (insert whatever here)?
11. Remakes of Ruby and Sapphire?
12. Are these (insert picture of pokémon) real or fake?
13. Is this the last generation? (confirmed as no by the pokémon art director)

Edit: Just to clear up any idiots not understanding this thread: if you have a question you think has been answered but are too lazy to check EVERY thread, then post here and ASK.

People barely put effort into using the Simple Q&A threads even after being told where they are. This might work for some but if Simple Q&A threads don't work, neither will this.

There is no maybe on the light type. There is no reason to believe they'd add another type. If you want to say maybe to that, you have to say maybe they'll add a marshmallow type or a fruit type. And no, the names don't imply that they'll be adding another type as the titles don't always match up with the types of the version mascot. Gold is closest to ground, Ho-oh is a fire/flying type. Ruby is closest to fire, Groudon is a ground type. Emerald is closest to grass, Rayquaza is a dragon/flying type. I was really hoping people would shut up about the idea of a light type.

And at this point, only two pokemon have been revealed and any more would be clearly visible on any of the major fansites.

What exactly is the purpose of a thread like this when there are so little answers to any questions anyone asks? If they ignore the fact a thread already exists, they will ignore this. Besides, at this point there is so little information that the repeat threads are the only way to keep the forum active. :p

Someone needs to pin this. Also Nintengod, if you don't mind, updating with the new info as well? If anyone needs info and they come into this forum, it could be helpful to have it in one place.

1. WE ANSWER the questions, this is not an FAQ, it would be tl;dr crap.
2. You CANNOT see the future. White and black? Dude it screams new type. Even if you're right it's irrelevant, you don't know what they are planning.

Hello Mr. Gamefreak employee. Might you tell us the name of the region, what new kinds of Pokemon there are, and the plot to Black and White? And maybe even some of the new moves. Thanks for clarifying that there will be no new types, no matter what. It's nice that you can confirm this for us.

I doubt there will be a new type in this generation, and I don't really see the need to put one in. But Nintengod is right by putting "maybe" in parentheses next to the Light type thing. There is no yes or no as of yet.

How does it scream new type? It was annoying enough when everyone was saying they wanted new types for no reason but the very fact that one of them is named white seems to have caused a massive increase in the amount of people thinking there will be a light type. I already explained how that doesn't work so please explain to me what about the names screams new type (remembering that the colour doesn't always correspond to the game mascot's type).

Like I said, if you say "maybe" to that then why not say maybe to any other possible type? I'm just getting sick of people thinking light type just because it's used in a lot of JRPGs and the fact that people who thought there never would be one have changed their minds based on the names of the games.

I'd like marshmallow type. hello smoreon.

If your too stupid to figure it out, the name of each version corresponds to the color of their mascot legendary, so we can obviously expect a black legendary, and a white legendary. There still is the possibility of a "light type", despite many opinions.

Sorry but how am I trolling if I'm just pointing out the fact that your arguing about light type.

Marshmellow and fruit types are pretty cool. o_O Since there haven't been any new types since gen. II (and those were neccesary), I don't think we will see a new one, but you never know. But I would like to see a light type, though...We'll find out the truth soon enough!

The nurse in the scans. Is that a new look or just the stereotypical Nurse Joy-lookalike with a hat on?
