If you've played a Legend of Zelda game all the way through, you know exactly what noise I'm talking about.
I know this is a pretty specific area of the fandom that perhaps doesn't have that much to say about it, but it has had such a great effect on my life that I think it deserves discussion.
Seriously, I have only played one Zelda game (Link's Awakening) and I've been conditioned to become ridiculously happy when I hear this noise. A few years ago I was doing something and the TV was on in the background, and an ad came on that started with a blank white screen and that noise, and a smile came on my face before I even consciously registered what the noise was.
A few months ago I set this noise as my tone for incoming texts.
How big a part of the games is this noise for you?
