I'm not sure if this post is against the rules or not (it's not really a discussion... more of a specific question). I was wondering about that black ship. How do I get on it? Also, it seems to have disappeared (as in, it's not there anymore), but some NPC continues to talk about it. Is there anyway to bring it back?

You mean the one at the Castelia City docks?
There is no way to board the ship. No one knows why it's there, or if it's just a red herring. Some people have speculated that it belonged to Team Plasma.
I'm not sure why it would disappear, though. I just checked my Black cartridge, and the black ship is still there. Do you know when it disappeared for you?

I just checked again and it was there... but it was definitely gone before. I don't remember doing anything differently that would have caused it to go away. It may have been my birthday, although I don't know why that would have affected it. Or maybe it's just random. I don't believe I ever saw the black boat until later in the game, i.e. when I first went to Castelia City I didn't notice any black boat. I'm not sure if that's because I just didn't notice it or because I don't remember it... or if it's because it wasn't there. If it wasn't there then, my guess would be that it appears randomly.

It's probably random, since the description of it on Bulbapedia says that it is occasionally docked in Castelia City.
I wonder why it doesn't completely disappear in the post-game, since defeating N and Ghetsis implies that any presence of Team Plasma has been driven out of Unova for the time being. I'm probably reading too much into it, though. Since it's related to a wifi event, it was probably just an oversight.

Yeah, the ship seems to just wander randomly in and out of the port. It's apparently the one Plasma used to get to Liberty Island, so I guess they wanted to leave it in in case someone activated the wi-fi event after beating the game? Although in that case, you'd think they'd've had it vanish after you save Victini. Huh.
